How To Delete old applications in iPod Touch

I downloaded many applications when I bought my iPod touch,, now that I wanted to delete some applications,, I can't delete it,, I tried to touch the application longer, but there are no "x" in the upper left of those application that I wanted to delete,, How can I delete those applications??

- If the Restrictions passcode was added since the last sync/backup then restore from that backup. Turn off Autosyncing otherwise when you connect the iPod to the computer the old backup will be overwritten and the backup with than have the Restrictions Passcode.
- Otherwise you will have to restore the iPod to factory default/new iPod.
If the Restrictions passcode is i the backup, restoring the iPod from backup will also restore the Restrictions passcode.

The same way you got them on the ipod - the sync process.
If you delete the pic from the folder that you have selected to sync, then sync, it will be removed from the ipod.

My daughter accidentally deleted a video that I captured with my iPod Touch 4G. Fortunately between the time I took the video and the time she deleted it, I had connected my iPod to my computer (but had not imported the video).

It is not possible to delete any of the bundled apps, so the App Store app is still there somewhere. Either she's moved it to another home screen or dropped it in a folder, in which case you can search for it or do a reset of the home screen layout - Settings -> General -> Reset and that should bring it back, or she inadvertenly turned off purchasing of apps in the Settings -> General -> Restrictions settings.

Hi. I have a iPod Touch 4G with 32GB of memory running iOS 6. I'm also syncing it with an iMac running Yosemite.
I decided to delete a bunch of apps from my iPod touch because I want more room for music and podcasts.
I deleted the apps on the iPod touch but when I synced it with my Mac using iTunes, some (maybe all, I'm not sure) deleted apps were transferred back to my iPod Touch from my Mac.
So, I'm wondering: how do I delete those apps on my iPod Touch so they aren't added back when syncing with my Mac?

When a folder is empty it should automatically delete itself.

Hi, I have duplicate calendars that show up in iTunes in the iPod sync prefs and on my iPod touch but that don't show up in iCal. Since they get all transferred to the iPod I have a huge amount of duplicate entries as I cannot deselect just one of them.

I have the same issue on my iPod Touch, but with only a handful of birthdays (not all birthday entries). I've tried removing the birthdays from the contact entries and then putting them back in, but that only removed 1 copy temporarily. When I put the birthday back into the contact entry and sync it shows only 1 date entry, but then after syncing again it goes back to 2 duplicate date entries.

I have an Ipod touch (32GB & 4th generation) that has been dropped countless times. On thanksgiving I accidentally dropped it again. When I picked it up, the screen turned white. After hold the home button and main power button for about 10 seconds it was semi-normal (could only function when hold the main power button). It slipped from my hands again causing the screen to permanently turn black. The ironic thing is that I could still press the home button and request for music to be played. Like I stated before, this isn't the first time it has been dropped. The very first time it fell on some concrete and the screen cracked. At thsi time my warranty had expired and I wasn't willing to cough up more than $50 to get it fixed.

If iTunes sees the iPod then
Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore ti factory settings/new iPod via iTunes. Make sure that no one is signed in iTunes>Store so your account email address is not on the iPod. The iPod will be erased.

its impossible to directly delete photos on ipod touch just the saved images. to delete photos you have to plug it in onto itunes and while syncing the ipod, mark up the specific folders and the nonselected ones will be deleted. there's were you have to maneuver the photos in the folders and create new ones if necessary. i know its unpleasant for the user but thats just the way it is.
