How to delete Orphaned mailbox

My email inbox comes up with orphaned mailbox and I can't select or rad any email it's like page is frozen. I have tried to delete account but it still stuffs up

Have you tried Mail > Preferences >Accounts and tried removing the account entirely. I suspect you cannot remove an inbox without removing the account.

  • How to delete orphaned events in Calendar?

OK, so I'm pulling my hair out on this one: I discovered today that my wife's birthday anniversary event got duplicated 3369 times in my iPad calendar...
I'm grateful for the reminder, but 3369 times is a bit too much.
Ruling out my wife's unlikely hacking of my calendar, the culprit is probably an automatic sync with my Google calendar gone awry. Lesson learned, don't sync with Google calendar, fine, but these events cause the loading of the calendar to be super slow and I don't want to imagine what's going to happen in 10 days when the reminders for these events are going to be shown...
So how to I remove these events from my Calendar?
Going through them one by one is not an option, and anyhow, I have tried to delete one, it won't go away.
Delete the calendar they belong to? Great idea, except they don't belong to any calendar, despite what Calendar tells me in the detail of one event. Which is probably the reason why I can't delete them manually in the first place. I have verified this by writing a small app that finds those event in the calendar: the calendar property of the EKEvent is nil.
I have tried to delete them in my app ([store removeEvent:event span:EKSpanThisEvent commit:YES error:&error]), I get this error:
Failed to remove: Error Domain=EKErrorDomain Code=1 "No calendar has been set."
(Note that I did call [store requestAccessToEntityType: completion:] to authorize my app to modify the calendar).
I figured it had something to do with the event not being in a calendar, so I have tried to assign them to a calendar in my app, it doesn't work, they remain orphaned.
I have disabled sync with Google and iCloud.
I have tried to delete my iCloud account on the iPad: I get an endless spinning wheel that forces me to kill the Calendar app.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is restoring my device, but then, what if the backup contains those events?
    An idea? Anybody?
    Thanks

goto calendar> look for the event you entered> edit event (upper rt corner)> scroll down> Delete event

One post advises doing the folowing -
Quit from mail, and then do this:
In the finder, under GO, pull down to "Go to Folder" and enter ~/library
    Open Mail
    Open V2
    Open MailData
    Delete VIPSenders.plist
    Restart Mail
Unfortunately, I have no heading for GO in Finder, will come back to this later.

  • How to delete a mailbox in Macbook air?

I just got a Macbook air.  Added a gmail account in the mail box.  However, I want to delete it.  But the "delete mailbox" is not black, and I cannot delete it.  It says it's a IMAP account, and I need to contact my account provider.  There is no such person.  What should I do to delete an IMAP mail box if the "delete mailbox" is not black?
I went through its instruction but still cannot delete it.

In Apple's Mail, go to Preferences under Mail in the Menu, click on "Accounts" on top, find your gmail account, and click the minus sign in the lower left.
That will remove the entire account.  I assume that's what you're trying to do.

  • How to delete Monitoring mailboxes in Exchange 2013?

I had number of databases decommissioned during our migration from 2010 to 2013
Now we have only 2 servers and 2 databases in DAG.
Correct me if I am wrong but I expect to have 2 health monitoring mailboxes per database.
Currently I have 8 MBs with all different GUIDs, 5 in one DB and 3 in the other, WhenChanged data is very old one.
Is there any way to delete and then re-create mailboxes for health monitoring to be sure I have only necessary ones and that they are working?
I mean not objects in AD but mailboxes themselves, I know I can delete user objects with ADUC and then restart MS Exchange Health Manager to recreate them.
When I try to access monitoring mailboxes it cannot find it via remove-mailbox command.

I am running the command in elevated window.
Here is what I've noticed on Permissions: group "Exchange Servers" has Deny for Delete Subtree permission on the "Monitoring Mailboxes".
Both Exchange servers are members of this group as well as the other group "Install Exchange domain Servers".
It is inherited from the top.
Should I change inheritance on the OU? Don't want to break anything.
What is your permission on the same OU, Martina?

  • How to delete orphan icon in iPAD (cannot JB)

My company's IPad has an orphan icon which cannot install correctly and I cannot delete it either (I also cannot use the Cydia delete as it cannot be JB)
    Please help ~~~

When this happened on my iPhone, turning it off (hold power button until Slide to power off appears) and on again (once it's finished shutting down, hold power button until the Apple logo appears) got rid of it.
You might have to reinstall the app in question with an iTunes sync or "buy" it again from the iPad's app store (don't worry, it will detect you've bought it before and let you re-download it at no charge).

  • How to delete the orphaned Expected Rule Entries exist in the FIM portal

    Hi,
How to delete the orphaned Expected Rule Entries exist in the FIM portal.
A large number of orphaned Expected Rule Entries exist in the FIM portal (originally 140000k+ objects, currently 75000+ objects). They consume the a lot of FIM database space and slows down the identity lifecycle management synchronization processes.

    Hello,
in my environments i use this approach:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/1af6cf77-4c55-4a3e-93cc-0baae80bc88f/expiration-workflow-cannot-delete-ere?forum=ilm2
This sets up a compination of Sets, Workflow and MPR to let the "Expiration Workflow" delete EREs as soon as they get orphaned.
This works fine since 3 years now, even if there are comming SQL-Jobs within a FIM update, but I implemented this before this was done.
I would suggest to clear the current orphaned EREs with PowerShell to avoid request flooding when implementing the above solution. Then implement that housecleening above.

  • How to recover deleted mail/mailbox?

While trying to solve a problem I had with a mailbox in Mac Mail, I deleted the mailbox. I only took the precaution to save the Inbox in a different location but not the Sent mail. Big mistake. After deleting the mailbox I found out that it also deleted all the mails in the Sent folder, some of which are very important to me.
I looked for suggestions in the Apple Support Communities and found what seemed to be the answer to my problem: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/613328?start=0&tstart=0
This is what I did as Geoffrey Charters suggested:
Step 1: Download FileSalvage (https://secure.subrosasoft.com/OSXSoftware/Undelete/DataRecovery/FileSalvage) and run it in demo mode. In this mode, you can only explore, which is OK. Set the "free space only" option and start the scan. It takes a while. You should see your deleted .emlx files in the resulting list. Select one and make sure the preview pane contains email headers. That way you'll know you are in good shape. If so...
Step 2: Buy a registration code for FileSalvage, and use the "Register" menu item in FileSalvage to enable the full version.
Step 3: Select all the batches of 100 .emlx file that have been found and restore them to your second disk drive.
And then as David Gimeno Gost suggested:
    1. Create a folder on the Desktop and name it however you want, but give it an .mbox suffix, e.g. Recovered.mbox
    2. Within that folder, create a folder named Messages (with no suffix), and move the messages to be imported into this folder.
    3. In Mail, do File > Import Mailboxes, choose Mail for Mac OS X as the data format, and follow the instructions. Note that Mail wants you to select the folder that contains the *.mbox folders to be imported (i.e. the Desktop in this case), not the *.mbox folders themselves.
After running FileSalvage for 4 days that it took to scan all my drive byte by byte, it found the files I needed and I could even preview parts of the messages I was looking for. Everything looked promissing. I recovered such files and stored them in a secondary drive.
This is where the new problem starts. All the retreived files are stored in the secondary drive but when I try to preview any of them using Finder, just a blank page opens. I also tried importing them to Mail as David Gimeno suggested but, although an imported mailbox was created, all the messages there are blank. I can even see in the size column in Mail that every message is 0 bytes.
I know that somehow the information that I need is stored in the files I recovered with FileSalvage, because when I browse through such files using Finder, I can see that they have different sizes. So, the information must be there, I just don't know how to access it.
Has anybody had this problem? Any suggestions?

Appart from solving with a backup, do you know any other way I could get my information back, according to the description I made?

The iCloud backup doesn't contain email.  If you deleted the email and it isn't in your trash folder, there is no way to recover it.
