Can anybody please let me know how to delete paused application download from iphone.

The update module was listed under "Usage" and I was able to delete it. Although I still have the red circle with "1" in it over my Settings icon on the home page, the status under Software Update is now "Download and Install" instead of just "Install". Also, the available storage on the Usage screen has increased by about 4.2 GB.
On my iPhone 5S, however, I'm not quite sure what the situation is now. The IOS 8 update module does not show under "Usage". However, the status under Software Update has also changed to "Download and Install" instead of just "Install"--but without my doing anything to the phone. Maybe the update file was removed from the phone when I removed it from the iPad. I don't remember what the available storage was before, so I don't know if I recouped any space.

For some reason, the Camera & Scanner Wizard has started to detect the phone now. Maybe it will stop again in the future, but for now it's OK.
I do have iTunes installed, and the iPhone's still not appearing in Windows Explorer. I might reinstall if the problem recurs.
Yep, it's an official Apple cable, but it's a bit old. I got it with my iPod a few years back. Maybe i should start using that as the charger cable, and the new cable i got with my iPhone for syncing?

The Apps store tells me I can get an update on an App I downloaded, but to make room for it, I must first delete songs or photos. I have no clue how to do this without also deleting photos or songs from my Mac computer. Is there an easier (or smarter) way to make these deletions from the iPhone?

If these pictures were transferred from your Mac and you use iPhoto for photo storage selecting iPhoto albums to be transferred to your iPhone, deselect the iPhoto albums under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync to remove the photos from your iPhone. If these were photos that were captured by your iPhone, use iPhoto to import the photos. When the import process is complete, iPhoto will prompt you to erase the imported photos from your iPhone just as when importing photos from any digital camera.
If you want to remove songs that were transferred to your iPhone and you choose an iTunes Playlist or Playlists to be transferred to your iPhone, remove the songs from the Playlist or Playlists in iTunes followed by a sync to remove the songs from your iPhone.

I’ve downloaded various “free TV episodes” to my MacBook Pro from the iTunes Store, watched them, and deleted them.
The problem is that the next time I start up iTunes on my MacBook, iTunes automatically goes to the iTunes Store and begins “Checking for Available Downloads,” where the already deleted (from my MacBook) “free TV episodes” are *still* listed on my iTunes Store account as “available for download”. Thus, the downloads start to download again (and again, and again, and again . . .) automatically - after they've been deleted (repeatedly).
I’ve logged into my iTunes Store account to see if I might delete these listed items directly, but I see no place where I might access a list of “Available Downloads” so that I might update it. Can anyone help with how I might *permanently delete* the already downloaded and already deleted items?

iPhoto has an option to import only new photos from an iPhone, and then an option to delete all previously imported photos from a connected iPhone after an import session. In this way, I could avoid having duplicate photos in iPhoto, and also remove all photos from my iPhone photo roll, including any that had come into iPhoto via Photo Stream.
This functionality seems to be gone in Photos, which in my opinion is a huge step back.

I believe the architecture behind Photos and the iCloud photo library is that you'll have a unified photo library across all your devices, and that you can manage your library from any device linked to iCloud. So the answer is, you cannot import images to iCloud and then delete them from your camera roll, doing so would delete them from the iCloud photo library.
In the iCloud Settings on your iPhone, you can set up iCloud to optimize storage for your iPhone. That is, you'll have smaller sized images stored on your device to view. If you wish to edit an image, the full-sized image will be downloaded from iCloud. I believe Favorites are stored as full-sized images at all times.
If this isn't the behavior you desire, you'll have to disable iCloud photos and use an alternative cloud storage setup such as Dropbox. I wouldn't link the Camera app to Dropbox, instead I'd use Image Capture to import the images from your phone to the Dropbox photos folder, then delete the images from the iPhone if that's your wish. It may be possible to do something similar with Flickr. They have a Mac app that will automatically upload new images from a source you select. So again you'd use Image Capture to import your photos from you iPhone to a folder you designate on your Mac. Once in the Flickr cloud, they're not linked to anything on your Mac. If you delete them from your Mac, they remain in Flickr.

The deleted songs show up only if I turn on "Show All Music' in my iPhone settings. But one track will not delete. I have tried swiping across it to display the delete button; that doesn't work. I'm using the same computer but with a new hard drive and a later version of iTunes. I previously loaded a photo folder from my PC to my iPhone, but I inadvertently did it twice, giving each folder a different name -- "Photo Library," and "Widget Photo Folder." Of course, I also have the "Camera Roll" folder on my iPhone. I now want to delete either the "Photo Library" or the "Widget Photo Folder" from my iPhone. On iTunes in the Photo tab, I don't have the option of deselecting the folder in my PC that I previously synced. Apparently, iTunes recognizes that the privious sync was not done with the new hard drive? How, then, do I remove one of the photo folders from the iPhone?

You CANNOT delete photo album. ALL pics synced to iphone are oin photo library. Those exact same photos, NOT duplicates, can be accessed from the individual albums.
This is how Apple handles photos.
Just as a song is in a playlist and in the library ( there is only one song, simply two ways to access it), photos are in the library and the same photos can be accessed from the album.

I have been able to fix the Acrobat issue, but not the PS issue. The final option listed is to reinstall the software. Since my optical drive not longer functions I suppose I will need to have that repaired first… unless you have another suggestion.
While I have your attention, can you please help me resolve a Creative Cloud issue I have been having.
I have been installing CC software successfully until I get to Acrobat XI Pro.
I receive the message, “Please close the following applications to continue: SafariNotificationAgent”
I have followed Adobe online instructions but cannot find where to close this function.

Although there is not a way to remove past purchases from your iTunes account completely, you can hide them so that you don't have to see them if you don't want to. This article will help you do that:
iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases - Apple Support
Hide your purchases
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
From the Store menu, choose Store > Sign In, and then enter your Apple ID and password.
Go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased from the Quick Links section on the right side of the iTunes Store.
Choose a content type by clicking Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books from the top of the window.
A list of your purchased items for the content type you are viewing will appear. Mouse over the item you want to hide until an X appears its top-left corner.
A confirmation dialog will appear once you click the X.
