How to delete personal folders of users?

I deleted a user from Weblogic Console. But the personal folder was still there from Catalog Manager. While I tried to delete the folder, it said I didn't have sufficient permission. I login with Weblogic which has BIAdministrator role.
How can I deleted and opened the user's personal folders?

HI,
Which user you have admin privileges then try to login that user.
Try to login weblogic user.
OR,
You can remove folders using ftp software (Winscp).
Login Winscp then go to the Below path and delete the folders manually.

  • How to retrieve personal folders created in email folder list

I have previously created personal folders in the email directory & saved invoices etc. in it under company names.
Our computer was recently repaired & everything had to be backed up & resaved onto it again.
When we got it back there were no personal folders in the email directory any more. When I rang the company who fixed the computer, they said there were no folders saved, therefore none for them to retrieve & put back onto our computer.
There are some very important files in these folders - Is there any way to find them?

re:'' When I rang the company who fixed the computer, they said there were no folders saved,''
As you do not say whay they were 'fixing', I'm not sure what they did to the computer. If they reinstalled the OS, then the computer was wiped clean and everything was deleted.
If they only backed up standard Windows folders then they would not have backed up anything any other program (not Windows) data, is stored in '''Appdata Roaming''' folders.
Appdata folders are hidden by default, but the technicians should have known this, as it is standard.
It sounds like they did not backup your Thunderbird profile or any emails.
I have come across 'technicians' who have no idea that non Windows applications store data in the Appdata folder. Hence why it is always a good idea to do all your backups yourself.
You could ask to see what files they backed up, but it is possible they have not kept that information. If they still have that information, then you need to look for any files saved in this directory:
    C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\
If they did not save your Profile and you have not kep a copy/backup of your own Profile, then you have a problem.
Therefore, the two questions you need to ask the people who fixed the computer are:
'''Q1: '''Did they completely wipe the computer and reinstall the OS?
If yes, then you know there is nothing hidden on the computer as it was wiped clean.
'''Q2:''' Can they supply a copy of all the folders and files they backed up?
If yes, then you could look to see if they actually did backup this location:
    C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\
This would prove if they backed those files up and also if they did back them up whether they really were empty.
'''Q3: '''More specifically - Did they backup Appdata\Roaming folders?
If they failed to backup that location, then you have lost that information and may wish to take it further with them. I do not know what the contractual agreement was with them, but if they lost your data and they were supposed to have backed everything up, then you may have recourse.
I suggest you check the T's & C's to see if they do not accept any loss of data as this is something deemed as your responsibility. If they claim to backup all your files, then files and folders in that location should have been backed up. Then they could prove that those files and folders were empty.

  • Batch deleting PhotoBooth folders from Users home directories

I am trying to free up server space. Photo booth is quite popular among my students 300+. Is there a way to delete the folders all at once from their home folders?

On the server, in Terminal.app do:
    sudo rm -rf /Volumes/<nameofdisk>/<pathtouserfoldersharepoint>/Users/*/Pictures/"Photo Booth"/*
The above may not work if you have the user's folders with a space in their username.
You can prevent the use of the built-in iSight camera on iMacs by issuing thiese commands in ARD's 'Send Unix command...':
    srm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleUSBVideoSuppo rt.kext
    Then:
    touch /System/Library/Extensions
Then reboot the machines. This will remove the kext for the iSight and clear the kext cache.
Test it on one machine before applying it to a whole lab.

  • How to delete personal information in my profile?

In frequently asked questions, it says I can delete personal information in my profile. But it's not doing it. I.e., I edit/delete the information, and hit save, but the information is not deleted. Please help me with this, thanks!

    Hi, Matt_Army45,
If you had said so in the first place, I would have replied with a very different response!
Please make your request to Skype Customer Service directly.  The Skype website indeed limits what information can be removed.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service    Skip past Step 2 of the instruction where various information will appear for your review and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request.
I would also highly recommend you change the password for your e-mail account if you have not already done so.

  • How to delete personal info when selling my ipod

    Hello everyone,
I own an ipod touch 4g and think about selling it becase I've purchased an Iphone 4.
What should I do in order to delete personal info from my ipod? I did "delete all content" in ipod's general menu. Will it delete all my purchased apps and any account information for sure?
Is the Ipod registered on my name and personal info (I mean, will anyone be able to find out my personal contact info I gave to Apple when first connecting the ipod to itunes?)?
I'm kinda worried since I might end up selling it to a person I don't know and don't want anyone to get any of my personal information ...
Thanks in advance, and I hope I posted it on the right forum.
    Have a great day!

It should only take seconds since:
This resets all settings, and erases all your information and media by removing the
encryption key to the data (which is encrypted using 256-bit AES encryption).
I would first try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Next would be to place thei Pod in recovery mode and retore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. For recovery mode see:

  • TS4002 how to delete duplicate folders in MacMail?

I am on OSX 10.4.11 and my MacMaill has two folders for 'Inbox', two folders for 'Sent', and two folders for 'Junk'.
There is a main Inbox folder with all my sub folders, and there is also another main folder "My .Mac Account" which has duplicates of all my other sub folders!!!
How can I get MacMail to have one folder for each? Hope someone can help please as it's very confusing and taking up lots of space.

Well, if you want to try to delete that one, first back it all up...
First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
    Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist

  • How to delete multiple folders in organizer 12

I have several duplicates of photos that I somehow created. I need to delete lots of duplicates. I see how to do it one folder at a time. However I have hundereds ! There must be a way to select more than one folder at a time for deletion. Anyone know how or if it can (or cannot) be done ?

As you have probably seen, deleting a whole folder or many files in one batch is a long process. So, it makes sense to select the max amount of files to be deleted and run the deletion when you are not busy with the Organizer. It's reasonably quick to select all the files of a given folder and assign a 'to be deleted' keyword, so if you can assign that keyword to the contents of many folders, you'll be able to select by the keyword and let the deletion be processed while you are away.
Note that deleting from catalog only or also from the drive are about as long.
Another way if you want to physically delete from drive, would be to do it outside of the organizer.
    - Be sure you don't have missing files (not connected ones)
    - delete from the drive
    - Run the 'reconnect process' and use the menu to select all and delete all from catalog.
Warning : with big catalogs (10 000 items or more), deleting many items will take a very long time and possibly abort without deleting anything.
    See:
    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/elements_organizer_unable_to_delete_ a_big_number_of_files
Both ways described above take the same time and have the above limitation.
As usual, when deleting many items, doing a full backup before is highly recommended .

  • How to delete App folders

I cloud drive is showing various app folders - I have deleted the app but how do I delete the folder from iCLoud drive?

    Same issue here.
I installed iMovie for iOS because I thought it would enable me to export slow-mo videos with the correct frame rate, but it didn't. So I deinstalled it again, and now I'm stuck with an empty iMovie folder in my iCloud drive that can not be deleted, not even after removing iMovie from the iCloud backup list in the settings. The iMovie folder only disappeared for a moment after I did that, but soon bounced back.
Not even being able to remove a folder doesn't invite me to switch from Google Drive to iCloud Drive yet.

  • How to delete empty folders on iPod Touch iOS 4.2.1?

I just updated my iPod Touch 2gen to 4.2.1 and while organizing the apps via iTunes, it kept creating folders named 'Games' and 'New Folder.' How the heck do I delete these? They're empty, I've tried rebooting my iPod and I've tried putting in apps and emptying them again.

When a folder is empty it should automatically delete itself.
try restarting it by holding the lock and middle button, together for 10 seconds

  • How to delete personal content from iPod touch

I have an Ipod touch (32GB & 4th generation) that has been dropped countless times. On thanksgiving I accidentally dropped it again. When I picked it up, the screen turned white. After hold the home button and main power button for about 10 seconds it was semi-normal (could only function when hold the main power button). It slipped from my hands again causing the screen to permanently turn black. The ironic thing is that I could still press the home button and request for music to be played. I figured if I let the music play the battery would die. It finally did. Now when I plug it into iTunes it will charge but the screen is still black what do I do? I would like to delete my personal informatin (such as email, facebook, etc.) Can I do that from my computer? Is there no point in trying to do so once the iPod is completely dead? If there isn't a point in trying to do so, I will just properly dispose of it!
Like I stated before, this isn't the first time it has been dropped. The very first time it fell on some concrete and the screen cracked. At thsi time my warranty had expired and I wasn't willing to cough up more than $50 to get it fixed.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to whoever can answer my questions and give me some feedback!

If iTunes sees the iPod then
Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore ti factory settings/new iPod via iTunes. Make sure that no one is signed in iTunes>Store so your account email address is not on the iPod. The iPod will be erased.

  • Windows 8.1 Registered Personal account, but then switched over to Domain account, well how to delete personal account settings

    Hi.
When installing Windows 8.1 there is an option to sign in before even finishing up installation.  Well I didn't know that there is an option to bypass that so I put in my hotmail account settings.  So all was well and then I added the pc to domain
    and that went well too.
Well couple of things started to annoy me.  When I opened up windows explorer there were two links to Skydrive, one personal, one for business (domain account that is).  They both show up in Windows Explorer.
I did the uninstall of Office 2013 and disabled Skydrive to show under group policy.  Then my system got slow when saving just about anything, a screenshot, an outlook message etc.
Is there any way to delete all references to me initially inputting my personal hotmail account settings.
    Thanks,

Thanks - "disconnect" was what I was looking for.
And again, thanks big for this.
Milos we have an image but so many different laptops, that I found it easier to just manually install Windows, keeps me busy and I find it fun.  The wim image is created but basically we purchase new laptops everyday and it just didn't make sense to
keep referring to image or keep on updating it.

  • Solved: how to delete those pesky "require" folders in Home folder

I was bummed that OS X now tries to "require" you to have folders like Sites, Downloads and so on in the home folder. Force Delete 1.2 will make short work of these, in case anyone else is stumped about how to delete the folders.
    Download it at http://mac.softpedia.com/get/System-Utilities/Force-Delete.shtml
