How to delete playlists on Apple TV

I syncd a handful of songs with my Apple TV. But it is showing all my albums as if they were on the Apple TV. How to I get the albums to show for just the music that is on Apple TV?

The syncing model changed with software 2.0.
Previously you selected a source to playback - this had 'AppleTV' as a source for locally store content, and listed all synced or streamed libraries as sources to stream all that library's content.
With 2.0 Apple decided that anything you hadn't synced to AppleTv, you might still want to playback so sources was dumped and the whole content of the synced library is shown - if the file is on the local drive it plays form there, otherwise it streams from iTunes when played. Personally I think this is a confusing system.
Assuming this is your issue you should find if the computer is off, then AppleTV only lists the locally available content, but shows it all when itunes is running. Confusing.
In iTune sunder the AppleTV device preferences there's an option to 'only show synced content' - tick that and you shouyld only see locally stored content on AppleTV whether iTunes is running or not.

@Abi99 WOW! It worked like a charm.
It didn't work when I patched MobiMB by replacing my mobile code RM-949 before 6700 ( see attachment, hexeditor.png, navigation point - 1 ), now I placed my mobile code RM-940 after 6700 ( see attachment, hexeditor.png, navigation point - 2 ). Annnnnnnnnnnnd! BOOOM! This is what I got! (see attachment, mobimb3.png)
Thank you sooooooooooo much @Abi99 . It was my mistake, I didn't follow your tutorial properly. First, I hesitated to install hex editor on my PC, when my AV detected it as adware. But I trust you, I disabled my AV and gone ahead and enabled my AV. It worked just fine.
BTW, is there any list of items, which are safe to delete?

  • How to delete the old Apple ID to prevent continuing access it when updating Apps if I have changed the Apple ID in my iPad and iPhone?

I have changed my Apple ID in my iPhone 4S and iPad, but when I update my Adds on them, they prompt me to enter the old Apple ID and password.  I have already created the new Apple ID.  How can I delete the old Apple ID on them?

If you created a new id instead of updating the old one then any apps etc that you bought/downloaded with the old id will still be tied to that old id, and they can't be copied or transferred to a new one - so only that old id can download updates to its apps.
If you updated the old id then try logging out of the account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

  • How to delete the Alternate Apple-ID?

I want to delete my Alternate Apple-ID because of not using this E-Mail Address anymore.
How to do this? It got imported when I created an iCloud Account years ago, now I want to create a new iCloud Account.

Not sure what you mean by alternate Apple ID, but you can't delete an Apple ID, you can only choose to stop using it.
If you mean you want to delete and alternate email address from your iCloud ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in with your iCloud ID, then in the "Name, ID and Email Preferences" section, click "Delete" next to the alternate email address you want to delete.

  • How to delete an incorrect Apple ID

How to delete an apple ID that is not tied to a server.  My mistake.  First time user. I did figure out how to create a correct apple ID, but each time I attempt to down load, the incorrect ID comes up. I can't get past the incorrect ID. Thanks

When it happened to me, I wasn't paying attention to where I was.  For instance I was trying to sign in to ICloud and it asked for Apple I'D which I entered and was of course wrong - so then I  just backed that out and entered my iCloud ID.  When in iTunes you use your Apple ID.  But maybe your issue is not that simple?

  • How to delete previous owners apple ID  ?

Need a simple explanation on how to delete the previous owner's  apple ID.
Can't seem to delete the App Store program ,  and whenever I use it , it pops up the previous owners Apple ID.
I have my own Apple ID ,  but doesn't seem to do much good.......
    Thanks

All apps (and other iTunes content) is tied to the account that downloaded it, so if the previous owner downloaded those apps then only hi/her account will be able to update those apps.
You can tap on the id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and log out of it, and you can remove all of the previous owner's content and put the iPad back to factory defaults via Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings, so that you can then set it up with just your account and content

  • How to delete playlist?

HOW DO I DELETE PLAYLIST FROM MY IPAD 2?

I create my own playlists using Windows Notepad, and then I simply copy the file on my playbook. Which means by using Windows Explorer, I can easily rename or edit or delete any of those playlists.
You can give it a try.

i need to help to delete an old apple account and to reate a new account because i forgot some related information for the old accounts

If you have iCloud and/or iTunes accounts just sign out of them (however iTunes Store purchases cannot be transferred to a different account). You can create a new ID at http://appleid.apple.com - you will need a different non-Apple email address.
However if you've forgotten the password to the original account, go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com; click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'

  • How to delete playlists listed under iPod on the Preferences panel?

I have a pesky problem. When I synced my iPod, I got all sorts of playlists of CD's I've added to iTunes in the past (dozens). So, I deleted them in iTunes and re-synced my iPod, only to find the lists there again. I noticed that those old playlists are listed on the iPod panel in Preferences. I suppose I could solve the problem by manually managing my iPod, which is what I normally do, but from time to time I'd like to do an automatic sync without all those old playlists getting put back on my iPod.
The question is: How can I delete the playlists listed on the iPod panel of Preferences?
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
So you had playlists in iTunes and the synced to the iPod.
You then deleted then from iTunes but they still appear in the iPod Preferences.
I guess they must be unselected or you would get an error trying to sync the iPod.
I don't know how to get them out of the Preferences.
Maybe you need to ask Apple unless anyone else knows?
    Regards,
    Colin R.

  • How to delete playlists I made in error

I am a Mac newbie, not very technical so please make your reply easy to follow. I am using the iTunes that came with Mac Panther 10.3.9 on an iMac G3/400. In error, I created 3 new playlists, just trying to figure out the software, then I clicked "clear" thinking I was going to "delete" them, not just clearing the list. They are not listed on the left of the iTunes window. How can I locate them to completely delete them? Also, as I come across radio stations that I enjoy in various categories, is there a way to save them in some list so that I can go back to them whenever I want. Thanks, Ken.

Playlists can be deleted by simply selecting them and hitting delete. If you don't see them on the left hand side listing, then they should be gone. So if you don't see them there, why do you think they still exist? Keep in mind that a playLIST is simply that, a list of track. If you delete the list, it does not remove the tracks from iTunes, it only deletes that specific listing.
For Radio Station, you can create a playlist, say "Radio Stations" and then when you find ones you like, simply grab, drag & drop the station from the main list onto your "Radio Station" playlist. You now have your own station list to play from.

Please can someone tell me how to completely REMOVE/deactivate/delete my apple ID from apple altogether PLEASE

You've been given incorrect information. You don't need to deactivate your Apple ID, you need to remove your old iPhone from iCloud so as to release Activation Lock. See:

  • How to delete my old Apple id for icloud ?

After upgrading to OSX Maverick, on my iMac, my old Apple id pops up on startup
for sign-in to icloud. How do I delete this ? I am no longer using this Apple id and
deleted it a long time ago from my accounts.
    Thanks for your help !

    Thanks for your reply.
I have already tried what you suggested, however, instead of signing out of icloud, I chose, manage
apple id, which did not solve my problem. When I get to the manage apple id section, it shows my new
Apple id and not my old one. So this does not solve my problem.
I may not be stating the problem clearly. I will try again.
After upgrading my iMac to Mavericks, I get sign in to icloud message box on the screen
which has my old Apple id in it and is asking for the old password. I no longer use this Apple
id or password, and deleted it and the password some time ago under Manage my Apple id.
However, it now shows back up again on this iMac when I bootup, asking me to sign in to icloud
using that old, now deleted, Apple id. I have been pressing cancel and then it goes away but would
like to get the problem fixed if at all possible.
