How to delete queries with identical technical name in BEx

Hi everyone,
How do I delete query which is assigned to Roles in BEx.The problem is that there are two queries with the same technical name. And both queries are assigned to the same Role.Can anyone help me out in deleting both those queries.

Hi,
When you do Changes in Dev and do the Transporting to Production, the Same Query which is already exist in Production is not overwritten. For that reason Queries will show as two. Check the note: 541024.
Check with your Basis team also.
You have to identify the UID Component of that Particular Query, which want to delete in production. Check the Queries as Date wise, you will find.
Delete these by using RSZDELETE tcode with UID Component of that particular Query in Production.

I have just opened this <b>QA</b> system. I find that there are two queries with the same technical name. The query definition is also the same. But it shows twice when I search for them.
I thought the system only allows a single technical name to be created once.
Please help me understand how this may have happned? And also how I can delete one of them without effecting the web templates and workbooks where this query is used.

You can use the ABAP Program RENAME_DUPLICATE_ELEMENTS to rename the duplicate queries.
The system tracks query objects using the 25 char UID and not the technical name of the query. In some cases you will end up with 2 queries with the same technical name usually with transports from multiple systems.
You can also use the report ANALYZE_RSZ_TABLES to proactiveley analyze these kinds of issues in the system.

Two query with same technical name in Quality

Hi experts,
I have two queries in Quality with same technical name. I used the program RENAME_DUPLICATE_ELEMENTS to rename the query and its renaming the latest query instead of the old Query. I am in BI 7.0 system and cant find a note that applies to BI 7.0. There are quite a few notes on 3.x system. Has somebody faced the same problem. What did you do. If there is a note for bi 7.0, please let me know so i can resolve with the Basis team.

We had similar issues - this happens when you create a query locally and then transport the same.
The queries have an internal GUID which is generated locally and this causes duplicates.
You can :
1. Delete queries using the GUIDS ( you can find this in RZCOMPDIR or RSRREPDIR tables ) using RZDELETE to delete queries.
identify your older version query and then delete the same and you should be good to go...
also try identifying the same using program

Multiple Infoobject with same technical name

Hi All,
I have a very basic question which confuses me a lot.
I have installed a BI content info cube 0SD_C03(Sales overview) and it is installed in Info Area - ERP Analytics -->sales and distribution analyses. I checked the dimensions of it and 0customer( master data attr) is linked as a dimension. I created a copy of 0SD_C03 and the new Infocube name is ZSD_C03_T. It also has the same 0customer master data attr as a dimension(obviously!).
Now both the infocubes have different technical name(0SD_C03 and ZSD_C03_T) since they will be storing different sets of data(lets say). but the technical name of the master data (0CUSTOMER) is the same for both cubes.
ques 1: Is it since its a master data and contains the same set of master data for both the cubes, it has the same technical name?
If I search the Info provider section for "0CUSTOMER", i get two entries: One within my info area and another within another info area. And also i can keep doing (Right click Info area--> Insert Characteristic as Infoprovider) on every other info area and insert 0CUSTOMER in every other info area.
ques 2: does all the 0CUSTOMER in different info areas, actually contain the same set of data?
ques 3: if i search for 0CUSTOMER in InfoObjects section, i get 5 entries in different infoareas. How can there be diffferent Infoobject with same technical name be present in different info areas?

A. same 0CUSTMER you can use the different places it holds same data.
source is the 0CUST_ATTR -> target is 0CUSTOMER.

it has the overwrite function.

A. you triggered the 5 times for specif DTP means you will 5 entries for different info areas.
finally i will say you use the 0CUSTOMER no of places where you required and no need to create the ZCUSTOMER.

APD - error when activating, problem: 7.0 variable with long technical name

Hello everybody!
I have got the following problem:
I created an APD, with one filter on 0calday using a variable. This variable was created on our own and works without any problems. It's a 7.0 variable with a long description "W_E_M_0CALDAY_WDLAS"
If I try to activate the APD I get an error message "Analysis Process Has Errors, Activation Is Not Possible" and "Variable W_E_M_0CALDAY_WDLAS does not exist actively". But this variable is active!
My colleague told me, that there seems to be a problem with long technical names of variables in APD. I tried to find a SAP note to this topic, but I didn't.
Had anyone else this problem? How was it solved? Or are there any SAP notes I didn't find?

In the meantime I copied the variable to a shorter name, but it still doesn't work. I tried it with a 3.x variable and a 7.0 variable. In the exit I first added an OR condition to the when-case, but this didn't also help. Afterwards I copied the whole coding in a separate when-clause.
Stil not successful. Factory calender is OK. The variables also work in a normal query but not in the APD - the result of the last workday is always '00000000'.
Any ideas?

That is discouraging. However I do notice that if I view my podcasts in My Podcasts mode they are grouped and sorted better than in Unplayed mode and the ones in the cloud are not shown. However although I prefer the one window view of List mode to the two windows My Podcast mode, My Podcast mode does at least indicate how many unplayed episodes I have from each podcast. This would almost be acceptable except that partially listened to podcasts, while still there, can only be identified by highlighting the podcast title on the lefthand sidebar, (although the number of completely unplayed episodes are listed on the left hand sidebar). As someone who often listens to a podcast over two or more days I fear I could forget which ones I have only partially listened to and would have to go down the entire left hand sidebar list highlighting each podcast to remind myself. I really find the List mode the most informative and easiest way to view my podcasts and really wish Apple had not messed with it

You can collect the query and its elements in the transport connection. The under the technical name you will find this and the element.

OK, I understand now. You are referring to the Load Balance Server Group. Yes, this can be done:
a) Browse to Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\Products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents\Config
b) Locate the LoadBalanceServerGroups.xml file
You can delete this file. The next time the workbench is launched it will ask you to set the load balance server group again and will create this file again.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
Try trashing them in Safe Mode, reply if that doesn't help.

Everyone,
In order to delete some of the songs that are not delete(able?) you have to first re-download them from the cloud. There just seems to be some confusion with the itunes match having songs show up that are not actually on your machine therefore, you aren't able to delte them.
-'Settings > Music' and toggle OFF "Show All Music"
-delete all the songs you are able to download.
-make a note of all teh songs you can't and then,
-'Settings > Music' and toggle ON "Show All Music"
-go back to iTunes on your device and re-download (click on the cloud icon) all the songs you noted in the last step
-Once they're all downloaded on to your device,
-go back to 'Settings > Music' and toggle OFF "Show All Music"
and the songs you donwloaded should be the only ones showing up.
-Delete those and you should have a "media on deivce" or something
-go back to 'Settings > Music' and toggle ON "Show All Music"
-and you should have a clean iTunes Match library.

Dropdown Box Effecting Multiple Queries with Different Technical ID InfoObj

I'm using BW 3.5 Web Application Designer. I have a dropdown box for region (0REGION) based on DataProvider1 and it effects DataProvider1, DataProvider2, and DataProvider3. In DataProvider2, the query that is used has region as a navigational attribute of Plant, ie 0PLANT__0REGION. And in DataProvider3, the query is based on an InfoSet. So the region field is named like ZABC_I01__F02.
My issue is that DataProvider2 and DataProvider3 don't get updated when I select a region from the dropdown. Essentially, all three (0REGION, 0PLANT__0REGION, and ZABC_I01__F02) are region except that the technical names are different. Has anyone also experienced this? And is there a solution>

You will have to use Custom JavaScript + BW Web API commands to generate the filter URL for all the different data providers.

Communication structures with same technical name

In our BW 3.5 system, we found two communication structures with the same name. Can anyone advice me how could this be possible? Did anyone encounter this kind of scenario before.

Please check the entries in table RSKS for your communication str. Is there any entry with version T?
We had faced this issue for Transfer Str & not for communication str. The reason was we had a copy system & when you do changes to the copied object in dev & try to transport it to the copied system, it fails. The reason being it stores the object in version T in copied system.

BW Variables with same Technical Name
