How to delete smtp servers in mail. Figured it out.

I, like many others had several secondary smtp servers set up and was unable to delete them. After reading similar posts, none of which had a satisfactory resolution, I started experimenting with what I had learned.
Go into the secondary servers. Disable all of them. Dasable primary server as well. Re name the secondary server. Doesnt matter what name as long as it is different from primary server. Clic done. Re enter same secondary server and the red delete  button will now be present. Delete server and repeat for all other unwanted secondary servers.
Re enable the primary server and or your preferred secondary server and shazam!

Hi Sachin,
The SMTP node which you see in SCOT comes with SAPconnect only.
You can not delete it. Nor you can add any more.
Refer below link.

But I don't understand why do you want to delete it.

  • How to Delete SMTP Server on iPhone/Can't Add Additional Servers

How do you delete the primary SMTP server. I'm on 2.2.1 My outgoing mail is not working and I figured since I'm a Mobile Me user I'll change the SMTP setting on the iPhone.
I can't add a new smtp server. I go into account info for my Mobile Me and select SMTP. I can't see how to delete the primary server and when I try to add server I enter smtp.mac.com then my user name and password. I see 3 check marks after I press Save. I says it verified. But it never shows up on the list. I have secondary server but I can't figure out how to delete that one. Its the ATT smtp server cwmx. All that info is ghosted yet it's not on my desktop account.
If synced Mobile Me but nothing changes.
Confused and I can't find any help on Apples website.

    I have the same problem.
Not sure, but I think the iPhone won't let you modify certain email settings of accounts created by syncing to your laptop or PC.
Delete the account on your iPhone and create it again manually (on the phone itself.)
    This worked for me.

  • How to delete multiple messages in mail

How to select a bunch of messages in mail to delete.

I Wonder if your sitting there laughing at us as if there is some big conspiracy about selecti all and deleting all from our iPhones and iPads.
    The conspiracy.
Why can we not just not select all in the mail inbox and then delete all, if we do not want to delete every single one of them then deselect the few that we do not want to delete instead of having to select the thousands we do want delete individually.
And if you do make a mistake and delete the wrong emails by selecting all, then go to your trash and reinstate the ones you did not want to delete
I think 99% of us know how to DELETE emails individually, as you put it.
That's just sarcasm and if not then then your not fully understanding the question asked.
I would also say that probably 99% of us want to be able to select all and delete all if that's what we desire.
I would just like a honest answer of why we cannot select all delete all rather than giving me a load of rubbish about encase we delete something we didn't want to delete.

  • How to delete gmail messages in Mail for Mac

I am using Mail 7.3 on my Macbook Pro with Mavericks 10.9.5.
I use Gmail for my email.
When I DELETE a message in Gmail it goes into the Gmail Archive (and stays in the All Mail folder)- it does NOT get Deleted.
Gmail help says I need to drag each message to the Trash when using Mail as Delete will not work.
    Really?
This is a drag to do, besides there is no Trash folder.
I have a 'Bin' folder and a 'Deleted Messages' folder so I'm trying to use them.
Still for Mail and Gmail not to be compatible for Delete seems crazy.
I have tried changing the Mailbox Behaviours in Preferences but it seems to make no difference.

  • All my smtp servers in Mail are gone

I am using OSX Yosemite 10.10.2 and today when i switched on my Mac all my smtp severs in Apple Mail are gone. I can still receive emails but i cannot send. Any help would be appreciated. Without putting them back manually is there any way to get them back and prevent this from happening again?

  • TS3276 Any ideas as to how to delete persistent emails from Mail?

I am unable to delete messages from my Mail box. I have a gmail account and have deleted these messages from "All Mail" and they still appear listed in my Mail inbox. The name is sometimes grayed out, sometimes black. There is no content in the email itself, just the name. I am able to delete other emails but there are about ten emails that remain. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Rebuild the mailboxes, and see if that clears the messages, or allows the delete to "stick".
    Mail.app > Mailbox > Rebuild
Once you've rebuilt and then deleted the messages, quit and restart Mail.app.
If there's a web access path available for the mail server you're using, try deleting the messages from that, too.

  • How to delete the messages in clock-in/clock-out

    Hi All,
I need to delete the messages in clock-in/clock-out which are appearing in portal, to delete this messages is there any report at R/3 side kindly suggest me help me in this
    waiting for your responses .....
    Regards,
    Shilpa.

you can run the report RPUP1D00 for the periods that you need to delete
the messages without any problems, but please read the documentation
    carefully before starting.
Please note, that RPTERR00 always reports ALL errors. It does not matter
in which period they appeared. Please destinguish between errors and
    notes.
The errors which appear during a time evaluation run are stored in table
ERT in cluster B1 and in table FEHLER in cluster B2 are intended to
store and display those errors as long as the errors are not corrected.
If you don't want these errors to be displayed any more you either have
to correct the errors or you must delete Cluster B1 via report RPUP1D00.
The old NOTES are transferred from the ERT/B1 to FEHLER/B2 with each
    subsequent run of time evaluation.
Your time administrators should normally work with PT40 and confirm
'I' messages or correct errors by using the error handling.
This report can be run like this
    Relation ID   'B1'
    Sort field    Pers.no. (eight-digit)
    Delete?       X
    Password      Username

  • Can't Edit or Delete SMTP servers on iPad Mini on iOS 7.0.2

On an iPad Mini, when I sent outgoing mail in my gmail account, the messages are sent but they don't show up in my Sent Items when I log in to gmail from a browser on my desktop.
I have gone into the outgoing mail server section on the account and I can go into each SMTP server, but I can't edit any of the fields.
By default my username doesn't display and I can't add it.
There is also no Delete button at the bottom of the server details,
(Interestingly, on my iPhone 5 I can edit these fields and the outgoing mail is working fine and showing up in the correct location on the browser based version)
    Help...

Without a little more detailed information, it hard to tell (what does "having trouble" mean? What happens when you try to add an event? How are caledars set up - are you syncronizing to an online calendar?).
A couple of things you might try:
A reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Deletre and set up the account again.

  • How to delete one oversized e-mail out of the sent mailbox form a user exchange 2007

    Hi Guys,
In the eventlog I get every 5 min an error that an e-mail cannot be send due to size to big 26.635.611 bytes
In the mailbox of that user I can't find the e-mail in the sent mailbox. So I can't delete it.
The only thing I know about mail is the mail size. I'm working with SBS 2008 and Exchange 2007.
How can I delete the mail or stop that send proces.
    Thanks for any solution
    Dany

    Hi,
Based on my understanding, you have set the organizational message size limits: MaxSendSize is 30MB. The organizational send and receive size limits apply to all Exchange servers in the Organization.
Did this issue affect all users or some of them? If there are some, I recommend you check if there is message size limit for this specific user mailbox.
About the Prohibit send quota, I also would like to see the mailbox size. If the mailbox size reaches or exceeds the specified limit, new messages can't be sent from the mailbox, and the user receives a descriptive error message. For more details about this,
you can refer to the following article.

  • How To Delete Number of E-mails Next to "Mail" Icon

How do I delete the "3534" number that is next to the "Mail" icon and shown in my "Inbox"?
I had previously deleted all of these e-mails including "Trash" and they no longer show up anywhere except for the number "3534".   At the time that I deleted all of the e-mails I used the guidance given on this website to "delete all e-mails" since IOS7 did not have this function.

I had stepped away for few, so I missed your 2nd post, so this may not be a final fix... but here  goes anyway
From an archived document: Mac OS X 10.6: Increasing disk space
In Mail, choose Mailbox > Erase Deleted Items > In All Accounts, and Mailbox > Erase Junk Mail.
There should be a way to set your Trash to empty on a schedule or at Quit. Choose the Mail > [Help] menu and search for " empty trash " should find exactly how.
