How to delete Software Component in Repository

I have a software component in repository,
i have deleted all nameSpaces inside it,
how can i delete the Software component from the Repository,

Select particular software component and In right side of window, select software component in menu and select delete option.

1. Design:Integration Builder
Double click on the Software Component Version
In the display window, navigate the menu to Software Component Version and select Delete
This removes both the Software Component and the Software Component Version
Ensure that the Change List is empty
2. SLD
Double click on the Software Component and select the Remove button
3. Clear SLD Cache
You may want to go back into the Design:Integration Builder, navigate the menu to Environment and select Clear SLD Data Cache

System Error While Deleting Software Component from Repository

Hi,
I have deleted datatypes,Interface types,Message types,Interface Mapping & Message Mapping also.
When im deleting Software Component from Repository,
I m getting the following System Error.
[-9402]:System Error:AK Unexpected Strategy information.
and im not able to delete.
Plz Suggest me.

u can get tth note directly form SAP service or go to transaction 'snote'....
and ther u can import it from the menu bar thers a option of download/upload....just put in the note no.

How to delete Software Component in XI ?

Hi,
I have created a Software component with a NameSpace Containing Some Scenarios. Now i would like to delete this Software Component as a whole from the IR.
I tried deleting :
1.From the SLD Software catalog - Deleted the s/w product and associated component , it was deleted in the SLD s/w catalog but no effect in the IR Side.
2.Deleted all the XI Objects and NameSpace in IR , but still empty software component exist in IR.
Any help in this Regards will be appreciated...

Hi Rashmi,
Right click on the object, you would find the option to delete--> select it. Goto Changelist Tab and activate the changes.

How to get back deleted software component along with underlaying objects.

Dear Experts,
By mistake i deleted my software component. When i deleted it even doesn't ask for activate. When i check in change list there is no change list for that deleted software component. So request you please let me how to get back my software component with all the namespaces and objects.
Please treat this as high priority and revert me back ASAP.

I don't know if is possible to restore a deleted SoftComp and all dependent object in repository... You can try to renew the SoftComp import from SLD....

How can i delete software component in IR,when there are too many SCs?

If you have to delete a SWCV, you have to delete all the namespaces with in that first. Open a name space and delete all the user defined objects in that first. Then delete the Std Fault and log data types and delete it and remove the name space from the SWCV by opening the SWCV and using - button on the name space. Now activate the changes. This will delete the name space.
Repeat the step for all the name space with in the SWCV. After all objects are deleted. Open the SWCV and use the menu, SWCV ->Delete object.

You will have to delete all the objects under the namespace (then activate the changes), then delete the namespace and then finally delete the SWCV !!

I am getting following error while deleting Software Component Version:
Unable to Delete object DELETEDEMO_COMPONENET, 1.0 of delete.
You cannot delete a sotware component version if it contains imported interfaces.
Is there any shortcut isntead of deleting all objets manuually?

Hi Sri.
It's very simple
Solution:
Double Click on Software Component, On Right Hand side >Go to Software Component Version->Delete the software component.If all the necessary Objects have been properly deleted, there will be no problem in Deleting the Software Componet version
1) Delete the created Data Types, Message Types, Message Interfaces, Message Mappings, and Interface Mappings.
2) There should be no Imported SAP Objects in the Software Component. If any delete them and activate changes.
3) Delete all namespaces in the editor using sign. Do not save the changes.
4) Delete the two default data types that are created in the Interface Objects-->Data Types of the software component version (ExchangeFaultdata, ExchangeLogdata). Now save changes for the s/w component version and activate the changes. Ignore the warnings that pop-up.
5) The radio button for u201CInterface import should be at u201CNot permittedu201D instead of u201CImport RFC and IDoc Interfaces from SAP Systems Permittedu201D.
6) Now go to Software component version menu in the right hand pane. Click on delete and the software component vanishes from left hand pane

(Delete a system despite use
   You want to delete the system PRD, but it is still being used.
   You cannot delete the system as long as it is still used in logical
   Components. The where-used list tells you the logical components which
   Use the system. To delete the system, remove it from all logical
   Components first.
   You can only delete the system if it is used in system groups. The
   Where-used list tells you which system groups use the system.
   Warning
   If you delete the system despite use in system groups, you can no longer
   Access it in applications (e.g. in the Project Administration, if it is
   Used in a system group of type Project Landscape).

Dear Kiran,
Firstly find out where the system PRD has been added as an Logical System in an Logical Component. Remove the assignment and you should be able to delete the System.
Similarly for deleting an Logical component find out which solutions are referring to the logical component and deassign the Logical Component from the Solutions. You can then safely delete the Logical Components.
You can use the Where Used List button which looks like 3 arrow starting from an single point to different directions to find out the assignments.

How to Delete multiple Software Component from repository

We have XI 3.0 running on MaxDB & Linux environment. Due to some mistake we had imported ALL Software Component versions from SLD. Since it was not required, we have to delete around 150 objects from repository.
We can delete one by one. But I am looking for option where we can delete multiple objects at time, which will save our time.

You could try to get the Basis people to restore from a backup. (But that would only work, if you had a backup from just before, or there aren't too many changes after the last backup you can rollback to).
I don't think there is any other way of doing a mass-delete of SWCs.

Can't delete Software Component in Integration Repository

Created Software Component,technical system, business system in SLD. Imported SC into IR (didn't create any scenarios/Dt/Mt/mi/etc yet).
Want to delete the Software Component and remove it from Integration Repository. Was able to delete in SC SLD, but cannot detemine how to delete in IR. The delete option is gray out. Any ideas..

Hi,
If you haven't activated it yet, then you can simply Reject Changes from the change list.
Otherwise, to delete SC you need to delete the SC Version (open for editing and choose "Delete SC version" from the menu). It is possible after you removed all namespaces and their objects.
The SC will be removed if it has no SC Versions in the IR.

How to delete translation of portlet repository

We are using Oracle Portal 10.1.4. with two languages (English and Czech). We have a problem with portlets. If we use only one language in the page group we have both language versions of portlets there (depending on the language environment of the editor).
I guess this problem exists because we have translations enabled in the Portlet Repository page group. I tried to "switch off" this translation (so we would have only "English" version of portlets) but it seems impossible: there is no "red cross" to delete the translation in the portlet repository.
Is there any way how to solve this?

i have a problem in XI - Repository, regarding a missing SWCV

how can i found out by this GUID, what the SWCV is? i mean the name and descrition of the SWCV

SWCV stands for SoftWare Component Version, and I hope you have mentioned about the message ID and not the guid.
For you to import the software component version in IR, it has to be first created in SLD.
Could you explain where do you exactly get this error message. Is it in SXMB_MONI.
