  • How to delete tabs not 'open'

on FF 27 a small gray x appears on each tab and this can be used to delete the tab even when it is not 'open' (when another tab is open in the window)
it seems that on FF 29 the delete tab 'x' now appears only on the open tab - this means when you have a lot of tabs you want to delete (not all in that window) you have to open each tab and then delete it :-(
am i missing something? is there a way to delete tabs that aren't open or config the ubiquitous 'x' back onto all tabs?

well the-edmeister wins the prize (middle click it is), but :-) ..... i have a mac w/ magic mouse (and no 'middle click') :-(
so, while there are other apps/tricks to have 'middle click', I used this as a reason to download and use MagicPrefs, to get this preference-able function (and so many more)
[it does seem this is a slight variation in behavior across versions - FF29 will show the delete x on all tabs, it there are a limited number of tabs, but while my FF27 maintains the visible 'x's with my normal 'many' tabs, it seems FF29 has different behavior
and yes i have a tab addiction (right now 5 windows with 4,16,19,18,29 tabs)

  • How to delete tab-space in one go?

    Hello,
On every paragraph on my layout, I have this unwanted tab-space.
How do you remove tab-space in paragraphs (Marked as Red) in one press without affecting the other tab-space (Marked as Green)?
I have an idea of using the Find feature but I don't know what the code for tab-space is.

    rapirap wrote:
I used ^t then changed it to nothing but the 5 consecutive tab-spaces get changed too.
You were in the wrong part of the find/change window. See the following screenshot:
If you are in the Text portion of the window, ^t is the code to find any tab. If you replace that with nothing and click the Change All button, it will find every tab in your search area and replace it with nothing. You can't do what you want in one step that way.
If you click on the GREP portion (as Ellis had suggested):
…the ^t code won't work, because GREP is different from Text. In GREP, \t is the code for tabs, and the ^ before the \t tells it to look for only the tabs at the beginning of paragraphs. You could hit the Change All button and it will remove all of the tabs at the beginning of paragraphs, but not the 5 tabs in a row.
That said, why do you want 5 tabs in a row? If you describe what you are trying to do, I'm sure there are much better ways to work. And you may also want to think about not using two spaces after a period. That's an old typewriter rule that hasn't been recommended since desktop publishing began many years ago.

  • How to delete items from the list of "auto-open" tabs that load whenever FF4 opens?

When I recently downloaded FF4, I was asked if I'd like to have FF automatically open the same tabs as were set in my IE. Great! Worked perfectly until I set those tabs as App Tabs. Now both the App Tabs and the original IE set of tabs open whenever I open FF -- essentially each tab loads twice -- as app tab and large tab. How can I delete tabs from the list of "auto-open" tabs? In addition, for some reason, every time I try to set my home page, it's not working -- I keep getting the same home page regardless of how many times I have tried to set a new one.

You can close a tab with a middle-click or with a left click on the close X on the tab or via the right-click context menu of that tab.<br />
Do those tabs come back if you close then and lose Firefox?

How to delete the apps in the purchased tab in appstore which i no longer have on my ipad. They still show in the purchased tab.

It's not currently possible to permanently delete any items from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they don't appear in the Purchased tab : hiding and unhiding. If your iPad is on iOS 6 then you will need to do it via your computer's iTunes.

  • How do I delete tabs that remain at the tool bar on my iPad air

How can I delete tabs remaining at the tool bar ?????

You have to tap the tab to bring it to the front and then tap on the X. If you are doing that and it's not working, explain what is happening.

Your redemption code was used to acquire an activation code.  The activation code is what you need to use when you want to reinstall/enable the software again.  Check your Adobe account online to see if the number(s) can be found there.

  • How can I delete tab indents created in Pages 08

How can I delete tab indents created in Pages 08.  I have a 200 page document with tab indents.  I need to delete all the tab indents.

Not sure how it used to be in Pages '08 but in Pages '09 you click on the Advanced button and get a menu to choose invisible characters.
The best solution anyway is to simply drag over the return tab in the document and Copy/Paste that in the Find field and again in the Replace, deleting once to get rid of the tab.

  • How do I delete tabs from homepage

How do I delete tabs from home page

You can close individual tabs by clicking them.
You can adjust your Tabs preferences to be the same as mine below:

  • I have synced pix from my laptop. Some appear multiple times and others I want to delete. In pictures when I tap edit the "delete" tab is red and I can't delete any pix. How do I fix this?

How do I delete pix. In the edit mode the "delete" tab is red and I can't delete any pix.

If the delete tab is red after you tap the edit button, then you have to select the pictures that you want to delete by tapping on them. A blue check mark will appear in the lower right corner of the photo indicating that it has been selected. The Delete button should then turn bright red after you make your selections. Tap the delete button and that should remove the photos. This will work for photos in the camera roll or the photo stream.
Photos that you synced to your iPad must be removed by "unsyncing" them using iTunes on your computer. Deselect the albums in the photos tab of iTunes and follow that with a sync to remove them.

For some reason, Firefox is not forgetting the tabs that you close. This could be a problem with the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionrestore.js] file maintained by Firefox. <BR><BR>Following steps would enable you to delete this file so that Firefox forgets about your open tabs and just opens your home page when you launch Firefox the next time:<BR><BR>
    # Locate your Profile folder. See instructions in this article: [[Profiles#w_how-do-i-find-my-profile]]
    # Quit Firefox by clicking on '''File''' menu and then '''Exit'''.
    # In your Profile folder, delete files with names ''sessionstore.js'', ''sessionstore.bak'', ''sessionstore-1.js'', ''sessionstore-2.js'' etc.
    # Launch Firefox again.

  • How to delete Equipment manual adress under tab "Location"

    Hello,
in our system we used the manual adress for equipment some years ago.
Now we do no longer need this information because we maintain the role ship-to-party in the equipment partner data.
Could one of you experts please tell us how to delete the manual adress at the location tab of the equipment:
    - manual?
    - with ABAP coding (function module or report)?
    Thank you
    Kind regards
    Manfred

    Hi,
For your Equipment category, get the View Profile assigned from Equipment Category creation.
In Set View Profiles for Technical Objects, For that view profile, under location header, you would have selected 025 - Address Tab. Remove that, so that, that will not come in the master.
    Regards,
    Maheswaran.
