How to delete those annoying jpeg images?

Today I decided to import every photo from my iPhone into my MacBook Pro. After some hard work, it comes the problem. There are some jpeg images in my iPhoto. I searched for those images on my phone but I could find nothing. Therefore I want to ask how to delete these unknown files?

More of an iPhone question so I'd ask on that forum. I beleive you may be able to remove images from a phone with Image Capture (in the Applications Folder)

You should always pay attention when installing software because often, a software installer includes optional installs, such as this adware. Be very careful what you agree to install. 
Adware gets on your computer after you have installed a freeware software (video recording/streaming, download-managers or PDF creators) that had bundled into their installation this browser hijacker.
You can use the below steps to revert back to adware-less Firefox.
1) Reset Prefs
*Navigate to '''about:config''' in your Address Bar
*Press the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button to proceed
*Search for trovi and reset all prefs that pull up by right clicking > Reset
2) Remove any programs that you don't recognize or remember installing from your Control Panel (Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program)
3) Remove any extensions that you don't recognize or remember installing from Firefox.
*Firefox 29 and above:(Press the menu button ([[Image:new fx menu]] > Add-ons > Extensions)
*Firefox 28 and below:[[Image:Firefox Button]]> Add-ons > Extensions)
4) Download ADW Cleaner to wipe out any remnants of the adware.

How do I change the JPEG image size in PSE-12 when opening from RAW

Switching from PSE-9 to PSE-12. When a JPEG image is opened RAW in PSE-12 the size is 18.72" Wide x 12.48" high 300 DPI. The same image in PSE-9 is 23.4" wide x 15.6" High 240 DPI. How do I get PSE-12 to open the image as in PSE-9?

Uncheck the boxes at the bottom of the dialog Scale styles and resample Image so that only constrain proportions is checked. If you the change the resolution box from 240 to 300 you will get back to your original dimensions.
This is a meaningless thing to do, you still have the exact same number of pixels, you have only changed the metadata number in the file for ppi, and your prints are not affected by this number.
You could also use the same method to change the dimensions to 6 x 4 or 9 x 6 etc.
There are some cases (actually most cases) where you need to CROP the photo to change the dimensions, when the aspect ratio of the original photos is different than the aspect ratio of the final photo; the specific case in 99jon's example is the only case you ever want to change dimensions using Image->Resize->Image Size, where the aspect ratio doesn't change from 6x4 to 9x6 (or 12x8 or 18x12 or ...), and even then, you could do the same thing simply by telling the printer the size you want, you don't really need to do anything in PSE.

Select clip in timeline and place the playhead over the frame you want to save as a JPEG. Open the share window ( Button on far right of tool bar) and select 'Save current frame'. If you don't see that option click on add destination and select the Save current frame choice. It will be added to your share options.

I believe that RAW is a generic term to mean image data that has not been processed (sharpened, compressed, saturated, etc.). RAW file formats are proprietary to the manufacturer; Nikon's RAW (NEF) is not in the same structure as Canon's RAW (CR2).

I am using a flowable XFA form . and i would like to embed some JPEG images in a subform.
My form is working but I need this additional behavior/capability.
Can you direct me to where i would find a good example of how to do it or to good documentation on this can be done or any combination of these two things.

I am trying to understand what you are trying to achieve. If you want to embed a static image, then drag an "image" from the object library. If you want the user to be able to select (or change) the image, then insert an "image field" into your subform.
For what it is worth, I have uploaded a basic PDF with a static image and a dynamic image field.
If you are dictating the images then select "image" objects. If the user has input, then select "image field" objects.
I cannot provide any direction to your second post. If you have the form working with "save as TIFF, I don't know how you would script additional parameters.

Solved: how to delete those pesky "require" folders in Home folder

I was bummed that OS X now tries to "require" you to have folders like Sites, Downloads and so on in the home folder. Force Delete 1.2 will make short work of these, in case anyone else is stumped about how to delete the folders.

When I try to copy picture with a jpeg extension I am told there is a problem with the format of picture.

How do you use the projector?
As a school teacher I found that most projectors had moderately crummy optics. My answer was to run the projector from my laptop. On the laptop, I would go into full screen mode. Didn't matter what the image was it filled the screen. This also gave me the option of zooming in on a detail, bringing up multiple images to compare etc.
If you have to bring the images to the club meetings on a thumb drive, then a careful crop (You probably want to do that anyway. People who don't need to crop have names like Ansel Adams) Now follow frank's advice and export with fit within.

I want to take an image I captured on film, and turn one frame into a .jpeg file so I can use it in Photoshop. I've created a freeze frame by hitting SHIFT+N .... but now how can I use this image elsewhere? Or is there another way?

What I always do is go to File> Export Using Quicktime Conversion> then on the bottom change the "Format" option to "Still Image" and change the "Use" option to whatever you like. (JPG, BMP, etc.)
Just make sure your on the frame you would like to export.
There might be a better way but this hopefully helps.

How to delete references to "Offline images"

Howdy,
I have about 200 "Offline" images in my library that have no association with an image in my managed library. Every time I open a project with one of these images in it, AP tries to build a thumbnail of a non-existant image and hangs up.
How do I get rid of these references to "Offline Images" .
When I try to reconnect to these images Aperture needs to be forced quit.
I think I must get rid of the references in my library to these missing "OffLine images".

Sounds like you have more than one issue - a referenced image simply being offline does not cause this behavior. You may want to try rebuilding your library? I have not had this happen to me ever (nor seen it in any of my many Aperture using associate's libraries)
