How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream in iCloud?
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices.
How do I delete photos from my Photo Stream on my devices?
After deleting the photos from your Photo Stream in iCloud, you can remove the Photo Stream photos from your devices as follows:
On your iOS devices, go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream and turn Photo Stream off. This will delete all the photos from your Photo Stream album. If there are any photos you want to keep on your device, make sure to add them to an album or save them to your Camera Roll first.
On your Mac, go to iPhoto or Aperture preferences and turn off Photo Stream. This will delete all the photos from the Photo Stream view. If you had Automatic Import enabled in Photo Stream settings, your photos were also imported to your iPhoto or Aperture Library and will remain after you disable Photo Stream. If you want to delete any of these photos from your Library, you can do so manually any time you like.
On your PC, you can remove Photo Stream photos by deleting them from your designated Photo Stream download folder. By default, this folder is located at C:\Users\Apple\Pictures\Photo Stream\My Photo Stream.

  • IPad 1,  how to delete albums in photo?

    I have an ipad1 with ios5+  operating on it. I want to delete albums in photo. How do it do it?

    1. If album was created directly on the iPad then you should be able to delete it using the Edit button.
    2. If album was synced from a computer then it can't be deleted directly on the iPad, you will need to reconnect the iPad to your computer's iTunes, de-select that album/folder on the Photos tab and re-sync.

  • How to delete lock screen photo image from camera while retaining the default images?

    Hi,
    I've recently took a picture using my camera and set it as a lock screen photo. However, I can't delete the custom lock screen photo after deleting my camera picture on my laptop. I would not know what will happen if I were to reset my entire system as I
    have two separate accounts; one of the accounts is not a Microsoft account. If i were to reset my computer system, some of the applications might not be there as the laptop had a custom setting when I bought it.
    How do I delete the cached photo in my computer?(The one without a Microsoft account)

    Hi,
    Do we have any backup available?
    If yes, we may consider to use system restore point to return to a state that could be able to change/delete the lock screen picture.
    Best regards

  • 10.10.3 Photos: How to Delete Previously Imported Photos from iPhone?

    iPhoto has an option to import only new photos from an iPhone, and then an option to delete all previously imported photos from a connected iPhone after an import session. In this way, I could avoid having duplicate photos in iPhoto, and also remove all photos from my iPhone photo roll, including any that had come into iPhoto via Photo Stream.
    This functionality seems to be gone in Photos, which in my opinion is a huge step back.
    It seems I am left either to import all photos and then delete duplicates from Photos, or to import only the odd new photos, and still have all the photos that were imported via Photo Stream remain clogging up my Camera Roll, which I like to keep clean.
    Has anyone found a way to handle this task like used to be handled in iPhoto?

    I believe the architecture behind Photos and the iCloud photo library is that you'll have a unified photo library across all your devices, and that you can manage your library from any device linked to iCloud. So the answer is, you cannot import images to iCloud and then delete them from your camera roll, doing so would delete them from the iCloud photo library.
    In the iCloud Settings on your iPhone, you can set up iCloud to optimize storage for your iPhone. That is, you'll have smaller sized images stored on your device to view. If you wish to edit an image, the full-sized image will be downloaded from iCloud. I believe Favorites are stored as full-sized images at all times.
    If this isn't the behavior you desire, you'll have to disable iCloud photos and use an alternative cloud storage setup such as Dropbox. I wouldn't link the Camera app to Dropbox, instead I'd use Image Capture to import the images from your phone to the Dropbox photos folder, then delete the images from the iPhone if that's your wish. It may be possible to do something similar with Flickr. They have a Mac app that will automatically upload new images from a source you select. So again you'd use Image Capture to import your photos from you iPhone to a folder you designate on your Mac. Once in the Flickr cloud, they're not linked to anything on your Mac. If you delete them from your Mac, they remain in Flickr.

  • How to delete already imported photos?

    So, I connected my camera to my computer and ran iPhoto to import some of the pictures. Since most of them were videos, I left my computer to do the import overnight. My camera doesn't charge while importing, so it turned off, luckily my selected photos and videos were already imported. In the morning, I couldn't pick the option of deleting my imported photos from my device (the camera was already disconnected from my Mac). Is there any way of deleting these automatically? An option of deleting already imported pictures and videos when I connect my camera?
    Thanks in advance.

    use the camera's format command to reformat and erase the memory card
    a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card --  I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos

  • HT4927 How to delete all duplicate photos ?

    What is the best way to delete multiple duplicate photos ?

    You can use one of the apps:
    iPhoto Library Manager
    Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto - free
    Duplicate Annihilator
    iPhoto Applescript to Remove Duplicates - free
    My personal favorite is the same as Larry's, iPhoto Library Manager.

  • How to delete multiple unplaced photos from photo book?

    Too many photos were loaded into book project, is there a way to select more than 1 photo at a time to be removed from the book project?

    Hi Terence
    Because over time I will have a lot of books and in each one will have thousands of thumbnails not being used. Must be taking up space surely, because when I delete the original photo from the library the thumbnail is still in the book. So its unused and unnecessary, so therefore would like to delete it.
    For info, I want to delete my library and re-import because I synchronise my photos with my home computer, which is Windows. My photo library is organised in folders before importing into iphoto, such as:
    Holidays 2009
    -> Spain
    -> France
    Family
    -> Rosy
    ----> 0 to 3 Months
    ----> 3 to 6 Months
    ----> 6 to 9 Months
    ----> etc
    Finlay
    --> 0 to 3 Months
    Activities
    --> Snowdonia 2009
    So this is great to be able to find the photos I need.
    iPhoto completely destroys that, I now have something like:-
    2009
    --> Spain
    --> France
    --> Snowdonia
    --> 0 to 3 Months
    --> 3 to 6 Months
    --> 6 to 9 Months
    2010
    --> 0 to 3 Months
    So you can see there is now no categorisation, Rosy and Finlay have disappeared from my hierarchy, I would not know what are Holidays or what are Activites.
    This is OK If I only used iPhoto I can rename the Event. But this does NOT rename the folder. So now when I sync with windows I get the second list above and my categorisation is lost. So I have a lot more than the above folders, its a nightmare to identify what the folders are as I have not renamed them with the full keywords, but have used a hierarchy system.
    So I want to delete my library, and rename all my folders so I get something like Rosy 0 to 3 Months etc. This way when I import the Event is called this, and when I sync with windows the folder is named this too. I dont mind the iPhoto hierarchy, I just need the folders to be called something descriptive.
