How to deploy BC4J application as session EJB  to OC4J manually?

We have created a BC4J application with JClient as a client server interface. BC4J is to be deloyed as Session EJB to OC4j.
I need to know how to deploy the BC4J application as session EJB to OC4J manually (at the customer's site without the JDeveloper).
Thanks.

If you just have OC4J.
java -jar admin.jar .....
You can look at the commandlines when you use JDeveloper to deploy to a standalong OC4J and just use them pretty much.
Or if they have IAS, use the Enterprise Manager web console to deploy your EAR files.

  • How to deploy Servlet Application in Weblogic 8.1

    Hi,
    I am new to BEA Weblogic 8.1 .
    I was trying to create a sample application using InelliJ IDea 5.1 , and IntelliJIdea 10.5 . i configured weblogic with IDE , but now i do not know how to deploy my application in weblogic .
    I am new in IntelliJ also .
    So Can anyone tell me how can i deploy a servlet application in any IDE like i also have eclipse indigo.
    Thanks & Regards
    Komi

    Hi Komi
    Basically you deploy your Servlet as a WAR File. I am not familiar with IntellJ IDE. But it should have a provision to export/create a WAR file that has your Servlet. Also I hope you already have web.xml file with 2 sections like this: First you mention full package of your servlet and give it a name. Then enter a mapping url. You will use this url to run your servlet like http://weblogichost:weblogicport/yourWebappcontextroot/myservlet
    <servlet>
         <servlet-name>MyServlet</servlet-name>
         <servlet-class>com.abd.def.MyServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
         <servlet-name>MyServlet</servlet-name>
         <url-pattern>/myservlet</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    Coming to deployment, I hope you already created a Weblogic Domain and have admin username/password. Start your domain. Login into weblogic console like http://host:port/console and use admin username/password. Then from Deployments section, deploy the above WAR file. In Weblogic you can deploy JAR (EJBs, java files), WAR (web jsp, html, webservices, servlets) or EAR (JAR + WAR). In your case its just a WAR file.
    Refer the online docs for more details on Deployments in Weblogic.

    Hello All.
    I have developed an application in WebDynPro ABAP.
    How to deploy the application.
    Warm regards,
    SampathKumar.

    Hi,
    You can delpoy it using the portal or in any IE.
    Create an Iview in the portal and give the application name of your component and run it. As portal is the part of the SAP Netweaver.  Where ever you want you can call the application as it is a URL.
    For the creation of Iviews and related things, refer to the EP forum.

  • How to deploy web application to Weblogic?

    Does anyone know how to deploy web application to Weblogic8.1?

    Hello,
    I found one error in what I have done. I add the '<context-root>' in '<weblogic-web-app>', which are not required in some other containers, and I can find the application of hello2. However, when I clicked 'submit' I got the following message:
    Error 500--Internal Server Error

    I do not want to make changes in 'web.xml' file as it worked in other container. I guess I miss something that is special, probably basic, to WebLogic, but I do not know what it is.
    Bye the way, who know how to reward points to other people? I cannot find the 'assign points icon'.
    Thanks hoos. Your answer give me confidence that a web application could be deployed by copy war file to some directory (I guess from my experience of other containers).

  • How to deploy webcenter application

    Hi,
    How to deploy webcenter application? I mean not in the Integrated Server provided by Jdev.
    Can anyone specify the steps whcih I can follow?

    Thanks for the info.
    I have installed WLS and after that Webcenter and created a domain for weblogic.
    After I start my weblogic and managed server I can see that Admin server and WLS_Portlet manged server are in running state.
    Now inorder to deploy webcenter application should I need to prepare a environment by creating a new managed server and all as mentioned in the document :
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/webcenter.1111/e12405/wcadm_deploy.htm#BABCBJAD
    Or
    Can I deploy directly on WLS_Portlet managed server?

  • Problem in Connection pooling after deploying BC4J App Module as EJB

    Hi,
    We have deployed the application modules on standalone OC4J as stateful EJB session beans.
    The problem is that with each user, the number of database connections seem to increase. This is making the application unscalable, which defeats the purpose of using EJB!
    Can someone please suggest how to limit the number of database conections in this scenario?
    Can this be solved by application module pooling? How can we use the PoolMgr to work with the session beans?
    We have tried to invoke disconnect on the application module after calling methods(using appmodule.disconnect(true)) and reconnect (appmodule.reconnect()) on entering the method. This keeps the number of connections low and works the first time the method is invoked. But subsequently, it gives nullpointerexception when the Row is accessed in the JSP.
    The exception we are getting is :
    java.lang.NullPointerException

         [SRC:/Supplier/sccPayCheq.jsp:44]
    The Application module configuration (in bc4j.xcfg) is:
    <AppModuleConfig name="SupplierAM9iAS">

    <jbo.doconnectionpooling>true</jbo.doconnectionpooling>
    <ApplicationPath>ProjectEJB</ApplicationPath>
    </AppModuleConfig>
    The Datasource used (in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config/data-sources.xml) is:
    <data-source
              class="oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleConnectionCacheImpl"           connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
              ejb-location="jdbc/ConnectionDS"
              inactivity-timeout="30"
              location="jdbc/ConnectionCoreDS"
              name="ConnectionDS"
              password="*******"
              pooled-location="jdbc/ConnectionPooledDS"
              url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@<IPADDESS>:<SID>"
              username="USER"
              xa-location="jdbc/xa/ConnectionXADS"
              max-connections="5"
              min-connections="1"/>

    Can this be solved by application module pooling? How
    can we use the PoolMgr to work with the session
    beans?You can use a stateless checkout/checkin appmodule.
    Take a look at the following help topics which explain this in good detail.
    "About Application Module Pooling"
    "About JSP Pages and Application Module Pooling"
    The pool can help reuse the appmodule instance across requests thus reducing the number of concurrent db sessions.

  • Deploying BC4J application: the right choice

    We have developed three applications (A, B, C):
    - A is a BC4J application
    - B is a JSP application accessing A
    - C is a Java GUI client accessing A
    We want A and B to run in the same web server, so we would have chosen LOCAL deployment for application A.
    The problem is with application C that will run remotely on individual client machines.
    The questions are:
    1. Can application C access application A deployed on the server using BC4J LOCAL deployment?
    2. If not (as I think), what kind of deployment (EJB/Corba) and platform (Application Server/Oracle Database Server) should be chosen for my scenario to give better performance?
    Any help would be very appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Michele,
    the official solution for your problem would be:
    Deploy A as EJB session bean or Java CORBA object to an appropriate server.
    Let B and C connect to the common business logic tier.
    But:
    Currently (JDeveloper 3.2.3) an EJB deployment of BC4J apps to OC4J isn't supported, so: If you want to use Oracle9i AS, you have to deploy to the EJB/CORBA Server implemented in the Oracle Database. We tried to do this and had lots and lots of problems, mainly performance problems. If you ask me: Don't do that!
    We tested the deployment to Borland Visibroker and got it work after a while, and your little example worked quite good. So probably you could ask for experiences with other App Servers.
    If you can wait, try to test EJB Session Bean Deployment to OC4J. I saw some demos on the Oracle OpenWorld in Berlin/Germany and it seems to have a quite better performance and stability. But: This will be supported by JDeveloper9i, what should be available as beta release end of this month, and production at the end of this year. So probably you can't wait that long.
    Sorry, but that's the way it is...
    To Raghu/JDev Team: Any better advice?
    Regards
    Stefan

  • How to create ErrorLog file from Session EJB

    Hi my friends,
    I have the need to write the Exception Errors from Session EJBs into log file. The problem is my project is the multi-user application and many EJBs' user transactions need to log the errors to only one log file, if I use EJB named ErrorLogWriter as the main component for log file writer and the other EJBs just reference to this EJB to log the errors, each request will create one instance of ErrorLogWriter therefore we can't access to only one log file. Somebody told me that it should be OK if we use servlet as the log file writer because only one servlet instance is initialized for multi-requests, and the other EJBs just call this servlet. Do you have any ideas or suggestion for this matter? If using servlet is the right solution, can I call servlet method from Session EJBs? and how?
    Thanks in advance for any help

    I think there is some thing missing in my configurations. Can you please tell how to deploy and run a hibernate application. Is there any problem occurs while accessing another DataBase from Oracle Content Management? What are the setting I have to do for running a hibernate application from Oracle CMSDK?
    Thanks in advance
    Basil

    Hi,
    I got the solution for my problem. The error came because of the hibernate pooling. I removed the hibernate pooling lines from my hibernate configuration file and it is working fine.lines
    Thanks

  • How to deploy Java Application to AS?

    Hello there,
    I created Java Application, created Java Web Start (JNLP) Deployment Descriptors and everything works just fine when I am running application locally (using Run Manager in JDeveloper).
    How do I publish this Java Application to Oracle Application Server to start it using Java Web Start since there are no Java Web Start Deployment Descriptors to publish Application to Oracle Application Server?
    Or is there any other (easier, better) way to Deploy Java Application to Oracle Appplication Server?
    I searched otn.oracle.com but I cant find anything usefull, maybe it is me, please help me :)...
    Thanks,
    -Andrej

  • How to deploy ADF applications in Oracle apps

    Hi,
    I just gone thru demos on ADF rich client applications using jdeveloper 11g.My doubt is how to deploy and use these from oracle apps.Is ADF supported in R12.If yes then could anybody provide me steps to deploy code at unix file system and how to create form functions for accessing jspx pages?
    I know that in OAF, we can deploy server components at $OA_java and PG.xml files using xml importer and we can create form functions for PG.xml files.Similarly what are the steps to deploy and access ADF applications thru oracle apps.
    Thanks,
    ashok

    ADF Rich Client Components need a newer server than the one that comes with Apps R12.
    So what you'll need to do is have a separate WebLogic 10.3 server where you deploy the ADF Rich Client Applications.
    You can call them from your Apps by customizing your current apps and adding a button or link that just calls the URL where your ADF apps are.

  • How to Deploy J2ME applications with data in RMS?

    Hello everyone,
    I am designing a J2ME application, a simple "Who wants to be a millionaire game". It stores questions and answers from a rms datastore. I want to to how can I deploy this application with questions and answers in the recordstore. Each time I run the emulator, the data stored previously gets deleted. Is it possible to attach the rms recordstore along with the .jar or .jad files? If so how can I do it. Please help.
    Thank you all in advance.

    Thank you Sypress.. When I install it the code works fine. But I wanted to include data with the application. I think I found a way way. I added the data in a text file and while starting the application I inserted data from the file into the recordstore.
