How to deploy BI on EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1

Hello Gurus,
i have installed SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Trial Version at home on vista 32 bits.
it's running well...
next i have installed EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 - Preview Version
and follow this guide :

the portal is running well....coooool.. ( http//:localhost:50100/irj/portal)
after i follow this documentation to create some cubes on BI abap trail (client 001).

i create my report with the query designer,
and i see my bi report with transaction RSRT and ABAP WEB tab ( http://localhost:80000)
it's running well....whaooouuu !!!!
Now i'm lost, i would like to deploy my bi report on the portal, but i don't know what i must do.
( and when i try with the query designer or rsrt + java web i have a error message )
- perhaps create an user communication between portal/bi abap where ?
- how to deploy bi java on portal (EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1)
by the way, i can't find the bi post install template in the configuration wizard on the the portal...

So, the download is done. But now I have a problem with the installation. I couldn't find any post explaining the same problem. My installation ends with message: The installatin of SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 is finished, but some serious errors occured during the install. Please see the installation log C:\usr\sap\CE1\insthome\primaryApplicationServer\work\install.log for details.

SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 - SR3 fails to start

I have just installed SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 - SR3. When I start the server, it fails to start with the following message -

From what I can make out, it is failing to compile the JdkDetect_6068.java file and hence the server is failing to start. If someone has come across the same issue and know the solution please do let me know.

Funnily enough I downloaded this last night. I had no problems at all leaving it running for about 4 hours and it downloaded all in one go. I use a piece of software called GetRight to manage my downloads as it supports resuming and has a few other useful features. There is a free trial version you could try to see if it helps in this case.
Do you have any other possible issues with your connection that may be causing your problems?

CE trial version does not support vista .. Vista version is suppose to get release in 2008. Following is the system requirement mentioned in the document
Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2) or Windows 2003 Server (Service Pack 1)
The J2EE Preview has also been tested successfully with Windows 2000 (SP3) and Windows XP (SP1), but is certified only for the two Windows versions above
(Note: If you use a Windows XP account without a password , SAP Management Console can not start/stop your instance via Web Service - use system services instead)

Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher or Firefox 1.0 or higher
At least 1, 5 GB RAM, 2 GB are recommended
1.5 GHz PC or higher

SAP NW CE 7.1 comes with SAP JDK 5, so you don't need to have any JDK installed in advance.
The JCE Policy Files can be downloaded from [http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp] --> Other Downloads at the bottom of the page.

i have problem with getting IUser object from set of principals. In javadoc is written: "In order to get an IUser object from this subject, call Subject.getPrincipals() and iterate through the returned Set of principals." so i tried to iterate but i was not able to get that IUser with any casting. Do u know how it should be?

So, the download is done. But now I have a problem with the installation. I couldn't find any post explaining the same problem. My installation ends with message: The installatin of SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 is finished, but some serious errors occured during the install. Please see the installation log C:\usr\sap\CE1\insthome\primaryApplicationServer\work\install.log for details.

Error when installing SAP Netweaver Composition Environment 7.1

Hello,
I hope this is the right thread to ask this question. We have been trying to get a Java App running in the Enivironment, but we always get an error. When Installing the Composition Environment on a mashine that fulfills the minimum specs, the Message appears: "The Installation of SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 is finished, but some serious erros occured during the insall. Please see the installation log." Unfortunatelly the log does not really reveal what the Problem ist. The Book put out by SAP does not give any hints either. Any ideas of what could be going wrong? Sorry to not have more information.

please look for the log file called sapinst_dev.log, which is the main one for any Installations. It should contain the error you see on the high level GUI screen, please copy and paste its content here.

I would appreciate if you could help me to find out these questions:
looks like some functionalities of these products are overlaping, so is SAP Netweaver CE replacing ARIS products? Are they are creating integration between these products?

Your question has been asked by a lot of people on the TechEd in Berlin last Oct. I agree there are some overlapping functionalities, however I also think the scope of both products is rather different. Where ARIS can be used to create and manage an extensive overview and repository of all business processes in your business model and their relations, CE can be used to actually create executables, from your designed business processes. Besides this, I would say ARIS can be used in designing manual processes that are supported with system architecture were CE can be used to design processes that can be digitalised with at least manual steps as possible.

How to create a application service with EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver CE Preview

I ceated a new Composite Application with a Business Object "test" and an Application Service "search" in the Netweaver Development Studio
Business Object - test
In the Tab Structure I added the attributes id:LONG and name:STRING.
Under Operations I added findByName with the Input Parameter name:<anonymous>(String), the Output Parameter Output:test (test as a Complex Type) and the Fault "CAFFindException".
Application Service - search
I added the test BO as a Dependent Object and the Operation findByName with the Input Parameter name:String, thevOutput Parameter erg:test (Complex Type) and the Fault "CAFFindException".
As Business Logic I added the following code:

I alway got the error: "Test cannot be resolved to a type" or "Type mismatch: cannot convert from List to Test"

After changing the cardinality the return type of the operation "findByName" switches to "java.util.List". Everything is working now!
The code now looks like this:
@com.sap.caf.dt.CAFOperation(name="findByName")
 public java.util.List<com.sap.demo.carpool.modeled.Test> findByName(java.lang.String name) throws com.sap.caf.rt.exception.CAFServiceException {
 java.util.List<com.sap.demo.carpool.modeled.Test> out = this.gettestService().findByName(QueryFilterFactory.createFilter(name));
 return out;
