How to deploy EUS using OVD with existing active directory ?

Hi,
I am new in Oracle FMW and want to explore more into it,
I have existing MS active directory with users and group policies defined there and I need to implement the solution for all users to authenticate in oracle Database (11gR2) via AD.
and after searching reading some docs I came to know that It can be done by "EUS deployment using AD and OVD".
Now I am bit confused for where to start Please guide me . My env is as follows
I have existing MS AD server (win2003) and oracle Database 11gR2 on HP unix..So Do I need another server (Win2003/2008) to install OVD or can I install OVD on existing AD server.
What exactly software required to install OVD as I have downloded software from e delivery site "Oracle Identity and Access Management 11g (11.1.1.7.0)"
Is it same or do i need to download other one?

I have picture library where I want to upload image using module
Location is "asset-library/PublishingImages/Images"
PublishingImages - Picture Library
Images - Folder name under PublishingImages picture library
I have added via module as below :

However when I activate the feature , it throws below error
The URL '/asset-library/PublishingImages/Images' is invalid. It may refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current Web.
while URL is correct - would you please suggest where I am wrong ?

Hi Dipti,
You simply need the URL attribute of the module as
Url="/PublishingImages/Images"
I am assuming asset-library is your sub site name. and if so it would not be required in URL of module

What is the Design to Deployment Workflow using DW with WordPress?

I am a Designer and Developer/programmer. This is a complete workflow question: What is the Design to Deployment Workflow using DW with WordPress? For example, is it:
PS/IL > DW > WP? (Photoshop or Illustrator, Dreamweaver, WordPress?)
Or is Edge Reflow inserted between PS and DW?
PS > ER > DW > WP?
Are these workflows iterative and, whats the word, recursive - we are able to go back and forth?
My understanding is that the Edge tools are not up to the coding standards of DW, and ER > DW (Edge Reflow to Dreamweaver) is not seamless or even practical.
Where does the Stack come in? MAMP (or LAMP/WAMP) of course, jQuery/jQuery UI, WordPress and other items; how integrated are these things?
I used to be a Flex developer and quite comfortable with the Design to Dynamic Deployment workflow of Illustrator or Photoshop to Flash Catalyst to Flash Builder; moreover, I thought the Eclipse IDE was excellent with its database introspection capabiliities, debugging etc. Adobe really pushed this workflow, then instead of innovating and standing behind its own product with 98% market penetration, Adobe disembowelled Flash right before everyones eyes.
What about Prototyping, which is certainly part of the process? Fireworks is on the kibosh. Illustrator, while excelling at some aspects falls short of making a functional prototype (unless you're tying in Acrobat to link the pages), and while Photoshop is Edge Reflows darling, Edge seems redundant with DW and spits out twacky code.
(Muse of course is unusable for professional developers, but it makes you wonder why some of those UI elements where not employed in DW whose interface seems antiquated by comparison).
It seems Adobe is bloody all over the place, more like a rabbing drunk with a microphone rather than the dependable go-to software company for creatives the world over.
In my opinion, workflow from beginning to end is important. Having a million different options to try to accomodate everyone is not. Some guidance in this department is greatly appreciated!

I have not used Edge Reflow myself. Nor do I espically like WordPress. But my typical workflow is:
PS for Design Concept and web images.
DW for CSS, HTML & JavaScript.
3rd party editors like Zend Studio & Navicat for PHP & MySql development.

Well you certainly hit some good ones. When it comes to marketing automation I'm always game for more flexibility with anything, for instance I would love to have more conditional options on form processing conditions, and I know that has nothing to do with video but it goes to your answer, anyway that you can give a marketer more flexibility with filters or conditions or what not the better when it comes to lead scoring, campaign options, and reporting the better.
If one could integrate Video reporting into Eloqua I think that would be cool, I know that would be very challenging because of how Eloqua reporting works, but it would make it a one stop shop which isn't bad,

But there is something that confuses me - I want to migrate from Win2003Std to SBS2008. And also, I want to keep the existing Win2003Std as a second DC for a long time.

Is this rule mandatory for the scenarios where the Source Server is Std, not SBS ? As I know, I can have more than one DC(Win2003Std/Win2008Std) together with SBS2003. But what about SBS2008 ?

Sometimes you need to look at it from the perspective of a recepient. Save the message before sending and close it. It will be in your Drafts Folder. Click once on it in the Drafts list so you can view is as the recepient would. (Don't open for edit) The links should be active.

Portal Integration with Microsoft Active Directory

We are working on a project to integrate Oracle9iAS Portal with Microsoft Active Directory. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this and hence suggestions. Particularly, I'm wondering if its possible and how to use Active Directory to manage the Portal user accounts and group relationships?

Please note that we finally got this working. For Active Directories sake, I would suggest using userPrincipalName or sAMAccountName as the Unique Attribute. Also, note that Active Directory uses OUs for organization, not CNs, so the search base should be either just the DN of the domain or an OU in the domain. Also, be sure to specify the full DN of the Bind DN as in CN=Administrator,CN=Users,DN=domain,DN=com

(2)From Active Directory to Oracle system.
-Whenever new email address for an employee is created in Active directory, the information needs to flow to Oracle HRMS.
Please let us know the method to achieve with minimal latest oracle softwares?
can it be done over coding from oracle apps without new softwares?

SAP IDM with MS Active Directory (OU names in Arabic)

Dear Gurus,
With SAP IDM , we need to integrate with MS Active directory such a way that SAP IDM only fetches users who have “SAP” in one of the AD field. That means do not read entire AD but only fetches users in SAP who have “SAP” tagged in one of the AD field.
Is it possible ? We tried that in SAP LDAP connector but its not possible in LDAP connector in SAP as LDAP connector is reading through all the users in our CUA system.
Question is it possible through SAP IDM that we use some thing (maybe BAPI) to restrict users and do not read all users but only users having “SAP” in one of the AD field.
Also note that our AD has some OU's name in Arabic.

If you want to filter this in the ADS Initial Load job then you can modify the repository LDAP Filter:
(&(objectclass=person)(orgUnit=SAP))
Replace orgUnit=SAP with your your attribute and tag.

You can point the KMS clients to the KMS host machine by opening an Elevated CMD prompt:
and running slmgr /skms to point directly to the KMS host.
You do not need a Domain controller.

802.1x PEAP Machine and User Authentication with MS Active Directory:
I have a simple pilot-text environment, with
- Microsoft XP Client,
- Cisco 2960 Switch,
- ACS Solution Engine (4.1.4)
- MS Active Directory on Win 2003 Server
The Remote Agent (at 4.1.4) is on the same server as the MS AD.
User Authentication works correctly, but Machine Authentication fails.
Failed machine authenticaton is reported in the "Failed Attempts" log of the ACS SE.
The Remote Agent shows an error:

Without Port-Security the XP workstation is able to log on to the domain.
