How to deploy ODI artifacts in Production?

Hi All, We need help to deploy the ODI artifacts from devlopement environment to production environment. We are doing it for the first time so we do not have any idea on it. What is the step by step procedure to deploy the ODi artifacts. Also what are the prerequisites for the same. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Pooja

Best way to deploy ODI artifacts across Dev,UAT and Prod

Hi All,
We have a requirement wherein we have to deploy the ODI artifacts from one repository to the other across various instances.
From what I learned from the export and import operations in Oracle Data Integrator documents provided by Oracle, we need to have Internal Identifiers (IDs) for each and every export and import. And while importing the work repository, we have to delete the old one and then import the new one.Is there a way where we can use the existing identifier and just append the changes?
Do we have any better way of deploying the ODI artifacts across Dev,UAT,Prod instances that would import the artifacts and also import the changes to the existing artifacts?
Any kind of information related to deployement is higly appreciated.

I used this link 100 times, but no use.

Not sure you have understood how the object identifiers work in ODI. When you migrate artifacts/objects between repositories (as long as your repository ID's are unique across the environments) you should be able to import using Synonym Insert/Update mode and this will give you desired behaviour you are looking for. The only area that really requires close attention during the process is ensuring that you import the various artifacts/objects in the correct sequence

I have just enabled security in our ADF 11g application, as descripbed in [chapter 29|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/adding_security.htm#insertedID0] of the Fusion Developer's Guide. It works fine in the embedded WebLogic server of JDeveloper.
Now I'm trying to deploy to our WebLogic 10.3 server, which runs in production mode. I'm running into all sorts of problems. The WebLogic console seems to have hundreds of security related pages, I don't know which one I should use, let alone how to use it. The Fusion Developer's Guide doesn't cover deployment to a production server:

The blog post refers to an article by Steve Muench, called [Simplified ADF 11g Application Credential and Policy Migration to Standalone WebLogic Servers|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/credmig111100/index.html]. This article presents an Ant script that migrates policies from JDeveloper to WebLogic, using some PFM. (See the last definition here.)
The problem is that Steve Muench's script assumes that JDeveloper and the standalone WebLogic are on the same machine. However, in a typical environment, such as the one I'm working in currently, this is not the case. In our case the developer stations are Windows machines, while our WebLogic server runs on a HP-UX machine. So the question is: how to perform this migration between two machines with different operating systems?

How to deploy forms? Or: FRM-92101 on Forms 10g (10.1.2.0.2)

we have a problem with deploying changed FMX-Files.
We work with an OAS 10.1.2.0.2 and the Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2. The Compilation works fine with frmcmp_batch.sh on the server (Linux X86).
And these Files are accessible within the JInitiator-Applet. All fine.
But now there's the problem: If anyone has opened a FMX-File within JInitiator and this FMX-File is compiled again, the compilation is successful but the access on this form is not. The user only get an error
FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration.
Please look into the web-server log file for detatails.

I remember, there was an equivalent problem under 9i and the solution there was to set the FORMS90_MMAP-Variable. Under 10g there is no such setting. (and this is clearly no solution)
Now my question: There had to be a way to treat this problem. And all of the Forms-Developer had to have the same problem. I would be very happy if anybody could tell here how to deploy correctly.

Yes, indeed.
We want to change fmx-files in a running installation because the functionality of the forms have to change, errors have to be corrected and so on.
I read the suggestions in Note 286762.1, but honestly I think it is to complicated in a development team to handle with two or more directories and to make clear, which one is the production-directory
I think this could not be the only possibility.
We thought about this:
- we have a development directory, a "waiting" directory and a productivity-directory.
The process could be:
- compiling in the development directory
- checking, if the fmx-file is in use (with lsof)
- if the fmx-file is in use, the fmx-file will be transferred into the "waiting" directory
- it the fmx-file is not in use, it will be transferred into the productivity-directory
- in regular intervalls a job has to test, if the files in the "waiting" directory are freed. If so they will be transferred, else not.
Only if changes are needed to do immediately (e.g. heavily errors), the fmx-file can be moved manually in the productivity-directory.
But this is only our idea. I thought there has to be a standard deployment-strategy from Oracle or better ideas from other developers.
Perhaps someone has a even better suggestion for us.

I am using Forms 6i in client/server mode, I want to upgrade my platform to Forms 10g web base. I know that I have to install Application Server, however, I found that there are so many options in the download page, and, I can only find the WebLogic Server.
I only need to deploy Forms and Reports, what is the minimum requirements (I means what Oracle software) I have to purchase.
Can you provide also the download link? any document can teach me how to deploy Forms and Reports? (only Forms and Reports)

Must we explode the war file in order for weblogic to deploy or can we deploy a war like an ear file using ojdeploy ?

Deployment from DEV to Production environment

What are the best possible ways to deploy the visual web parts and Pages from development environment to Production environment.
As I am very much new to Sharepoint, I would like to have the safest methods to do the deployment into production. Please also suggest the prerequisites.
I have a solution with number of visual web parts in the development environment which is working fine. Need to move the Visual web parts to production (Existing site). So please suggest the safest methods.

How to deploy coldfusion as mvc framework from server standpoint?.

Does anyone know how to deploy mvc framework from server
standpoint?. I have all my business logic as cfcs but I want to
move them to different server so that my cfm code is in one server
and my cfcs are in another. Has anyone done this or point me in the

Actually that's exactly the way we have our new high
availability
environment configured. All the code runs off an EMC device.

why I didn't draw this parallel yesterday with running the

Right, this is what we do on our production environment but
