How to deploy Oracle Collaboration Components on Production Servers?

Hi,
I have installed Oracle Collaboration Suite on 2-Node. Infrastructure Tier is running on Machine 1 and Middle Tier is running on Machine 2. I have made some changes in look and feel of OCS components eg. Changed logos and modified CSS.
I wanna know that is there any way to deploy OCS applications running on my machines to the customer without running Setups again on the customer's machines so that I should not work again at customer site for changes in look and feel etc.

Well, then I'm afraid my help will only be very limited. I guess the short procedure I gave you CAN be done on windows, but we have such a small experience on OCS windows that I can't decently tell you that it's 100% sure and give you all the detailed steps, bacause apart from files and directories, there are registry issues on windows OSes. Not easy to copy an oracle setup like on Linux.
IMHO you should ask Oracle Support through a service request and tell them that you want to move the installation following the steps I gave you. Or maybe an Oracle guy can bring some more information on this thread, I know there are people who know, but then don't come here frequently, as they all switched to beehive !

How to deploy oracle forms in weblogic server

Hi,
I have a 10g forms. How to deploy this oracle form in weblogic 11g?. I am new to this weblogic. I think this combination is new to weblogic(weblogic with forms). i configured the weblogic 11g in my machine and i have admin server only. And also I have .fmx(i.e executable version of form).how to use this .fmx to deploy in weblogic?This executable work fine in OAS. What need to be done for deploy this form in weblogic. Can anybody provide the solution for this ASAP?

I am deploying forms in weblogic, too. Can you tell me how did you upgrade forms from 10g to 11g? Did you install HTTP Aphace server seperately or it come with weblogic server or Orcale portal, forms installation. any input will be appreciated.

We have ORACLE forms application, which is deployed in OC4J Instance in application server.
There are some modules, which are developed in Java/J2EE, which are invoked from Oracle forms application. Currently this java application is
deployed in separate OC4J instance.

And this ear file has to be deployed in one OC4J instance.

We are using scorecard fusion edition, every time after some changes been implimented in Development, we are copying entire thing and pasting it in production server,
Is there any other way which we can use, only changes we can deploy to the production environment?

How to deploy oracle 11g under cold failover cluster

I am trying to install oracle 11g under failover cluster environments. I am trying to find some oracle documentation about it. But not able to find one. Can anyone help me. Please i need it badly.
we have two servers sun solaris 10. on which we have failover cluster being installed. one is active while one is passive. How can i install oracle 11g on this failover clusters. did i have to install oracle of shared SAN. what are the extra configuration i have to do please help
Also is it wise to install 11g warehouse with fail safe or use RAC.

I am of the same point of view. but the machine i am working on is sun solaris 10 with two partitions finance and accounts which have been protected by a failed over machine having two partitions finance and accounts and i think you are right these are the same shared storage folder which are mounted on active machine as well as on passive machine.
Now my question is if i install oracle 11g on one machine without oracle cluster then sun cluster should be able to mount the database in case the primary machine fails.
I have tried hard to get some documentation on this top but nothing so far. please help

I have to run forms using this setup.
I was unable to find which version of oracle application server forms and reports should i install to run.

Application server 10.1.3 does not have Forms. You should install 10.1.2.0.2 version. See Re: Forms / Reports services in 10gAS Release 3

I have to deploy the same webservice + its clients to multiple servers. However, the WS URL is hardcoded in its descriptor, as well as in the client, so it means that I have to rebuild everything each time I want to deploy it to a new server.

I think what you can do is once you create your webservice , it has a property called
SOAP RPC URL which you can edit before you create the wsdl and the client.

Hi,
You can find many articles on oracle site for this subject.
However in brief following are the steps
1) Create a directory source,executables,images,reports and logfiles.
2) Copy all your forms, menus and pll's in source directory
3) All your images in your image directory
4) All your reports in reports directory
5) All yuor fmx,mmx and plx in executables directory
6) Any log files in logfiles directory
7) Add path of images and executables directory in FORMS_PATH in default.env
8) Configure your formsweb.cfg as your need.
9) Configure report.conf and rwservlet.properties according to your applications.
10) Make jar of icons say myicons.jar.
11) copy myicons.jar in forms/java directory
12) Check yuor form services if they are running or not.
13) Invoke the URL in internet explorer
http://<ip_address>:<port_no>/forms/frmservlet?form=testform.fmx
I think that's enough from my side.. For more info you can go through the documentation.
