Hi,
You need to configure an appropriate self-registration workflow. Seeing that you are asking how to change the behaviour, you probably already have such a workflow and need to modify it in case you want the change to be applicable to all users wanting to register themselves. As for changing the Save button to New user, you'll need to customize the appropriate stylesheet. Details for this should be in the customization guide.

How to design a login page

Hi all,
I need to design a login page which will allow the user to enter his email id and password and upon authentication it will move on to the next page.
The email id and password are stored in the database.
Password is encrypted using SHA 512 algorithm
so what ever the user types has to match with the value in the database.
Is there any corresponding examples with i could make use of?
My JDEV version is 11g Release 2

How to design the activate page in JSF?

When user register in our site, we will send an activate email with embedded url something like that:
http://localhost:8080/eshop/faces/activate.jsp?auth=Q849+kMSA2XSThYHJHJHsYUI
When user click the url, we will get the parameter auth and set the flag in table to indicate the a/c is activated.
How to implement this mechanism in JSF?

Create a backbean for the page activate.jsp, inject your get parameter (auth) into it and execute your logic inside a postconstruct method.

what is the layout procedure for that.Well… there's a lot to this. First, you'll have to have an idea of what should be on your page; how it is presented is ultimately a design decision, not one of layout. Once you have a design (paper sketches?), then you can proceed to start 'cutting up' your designs into larger components. Perhaps your applicaiton will have a larger page template that holds 'content' of other pages/page fragments.
(If you're coming from OAF, for example, this is a pretty big difference - in ADF page design is very flexible, and how information is presented is largely up to developers/designers. There's no single method for laying out a page.)

1) You can set up your book, using File > New Document and choose Print intent, the page size, number of pages. You can learn how to set type etc in the above book and training videos.
2) When you've set your book book you can export it to PDF and proof it on your desktop printer and produce a mock up for your customer. When it's approved ask your printer what type of PDF he wants. Supply it as single pages with trim marks (they will impose it).
3) InDesign can easily produce such a job - but you need to put some time in to learn the program. If you enjoy it, it'll be fun! You also need to learn about using Photoshop to optimise photographs to place in InDesign.

How do I compensate for only one ADDT ' tNG_config.inc.php file with many Registration pages to build?

My dynamic site has a lot of different languages funneled into one website, using various cookies, url params, php includes, etc. all to obtain similar info in different languages. Thank you David Powers.
It is working really well and now I’ve come to the Registration section. Okay, so registration isn’t all that hard; I could do most of it with the standard Dreamweaver set of tools. Alas, I really like much of what ADDT has to offer with welcome email messages and activation and such.
Here’s the setup: Obviously, with many different language people, I have many different databases for them. I did that becuase we’re expecting a big audience and I really don’t want to have all those different language names in the same table. Furthermore, these tables, whereby the students will login, will also contain a lot of information about their work so again, don’t want to have one massive table. I’ve divvied them up into tables by language and I’m using those tables to keep track of them and their work.
I want to use ADDT’s User Registration Wizard and I have looked at all the neat stuff in the Control Panel/Login Settings.
Here’s my situation: I notice that when I’m done with the configuring of one of the registration pages, I’m asked if I want to upload the tNG_config.inc.php page and that it has changed since the last upload. I saved a copy of the _config.inc.php and did a new registration form with the same info and when done, I compared the two _config.inc.php files. As one would guess, there is a small difference in the Connection string to the databases $tNG_login_config["connexction"] = "connString_Ital_db".
My problem is that I have 13 of these registration pages to do but ADDT only has the one tNG_config.inc.php. That’ll work great for the one with which it is associated, but the others will obviously break. I’ve looked through the code in the Registration pages, to find the ADDT link to the tNG_config.inc.php file hoping to rename it Italian, Spanish, etc, but the name of the file does not appear in the Registration page. I realize that ADDT Control panel is designed for use on one site, and can then be used on others, with the changes etc. But my site seems a little unique since so many sites are actually in one.
Has anyone whipped this problem before? I just don’t understand why there is no link in the head code of the Registration page to let me change it and to create more config files with different names. Thanks for you help!

I just tried to check all of ADDT´s "includes" files for any internal references (read: "require" or "require_once" statements) to the file "tNG_config.inc.php". So far I can only see this file referenced in the file "tNG.inc.php" (within the "$KT_tNG_uploadFileList1" array).
So what could this mean ? Maybe you´ll have to make copies of the the original "tNG.inc.php" as well and save them as, say, "tNG.inc_ital.php" file plus make sure that these copies internally point to a different "tNG_config_ital.inc.php" file -- because it´s always the first mentioned file which gets referenced from e.g. an ADDT login page (see the "Load the tNG classes" - part)
I want to use ADDT’s User Registration Wizard and I have looked at all the neat stuff in the Control Panel/Login Settings
The Control Panel will always update the main "tNG_config.inc.php" file, so any further modifications will have to become manually applied to the custom files you´re creating.

How do you bypass the Welcome\Registration page after a Netinstall complete

I am currently trying to use Snow Leopard server 10.62 to deploy Snowleopard to a number of MacBooks.
I have a list of apps to go in to the build but for now i need to get past the first stage.
first stage being, It is possible to bypass the Welcome \ Registration pages after a Netinstall deployment.
i wish to use a clean image with a computer name given from the SIU and bind in to AD
all this seems to fail but i can get an automated build but then i have to go through all the pages of registration...how do i get around this?
I have also played about with NetRestore images but in the Define NetRestore Source in the SIU i have not idea what that ASR:// URL should be so it instantly fails

I have had success with the following SIU 2 workflow:
- Define Image Source (select a master hard drive to be cloned)
- Create Image (Netrestore type)
Note that I am using "Define Image Source" NOT "Define NetRestore Source".
Neither "Apply System Configuration Settings" nor "Enable Automated Installation" are currently functional in Snow Leopard. Do not go there.

Also I need to know how to create it with bleed space or without bleed space ?

There is no requiremend for bleed size etc (I just wanna know how to create copy with or without bleed at any time and where to mention the size of bleed). The format is PDF, 300dpi.
I would appreciate if you could answer my above question so that I can start and go in a right direction.

How about using JavaScript to perform page reloaded or just trigger the click event of the refresh button with the Report View Web Part? It could be seen as a kind of workaround
for auto refreshing.

How to add more fields to the self registration page?

I used Data Component – User Registration, then UserVO1. There were 2 fields: Organization and Organization Name. I added both to the form. Then I tried to submit a self registration request. When I logged in as xelsysadm to check out the request, the Organization field on the request is not populated.
I know that under OIM 11gr2, the reviewer must provide the organization. I am wondering if this has something to do with the value of the organization not being carried over to the request level approval.
Could someone please help?

Here's a rather extensive set of procedures you might have followed:
Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
Step One - Back up your data:
       A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
       B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
          1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
          2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
          3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right
              side.
          4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be
              sure to opt for that.
               Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal
               startup drive.
Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
          1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
          2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
          3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
          4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
          5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See What to do with iCloud before selling your computer.
Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
     A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
          1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
          2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
          3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
              Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
          4. Install OS X.
          5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
          6. Shutdown the computer.
     B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
         Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because
                   it is three times faster than wireless.
          1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
              Utilities window appears.
          2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
          3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click
              on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
          4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
              and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
          5. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
          6. Quit DU and return to the Mac OS X Utilities window.
          7. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
          8. Upon completion shutdown the computer.
*If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License.

In that case you will have to deal with it. I wouldn't actually consider it fun, because Illustrator's capabilities of dealing with text and formatting are limited.
In any case you'll have to learn the basics of working with Illustrator and then concentrate on how to format text, place images, flow text around images and the like.
