How to determine actual path/location of Outlook Public Folder favorite?

I have several end users that use the Public Folder favorite system in Outlook. Our Public Folder structure is very large and messy which makes finding these favorites difficult to find. When I go to the properties of the favorited folder, it does not find
the actual path.
Is there a PowerShell command or some tool that will allow me to determine the path?
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
Public Folders can be set as a Favorite Folder at 2 levels in Outlook. one within the Public Folder structure and one within the Navigation Pane:
http://www.msoutlook.info/question/281
Seems you are using the favorite in the Public Folder structure. We can find the folder path by right-clicking and select Properties, and then select
Summary tab. Now you can see the path from the Folder Path field:
Hope this helps.

  • Outlook 2007 on Terminal Server cannot manage Public Folder Favorites after Migration to Exchange 2013

    Hi,
    we are running a Server 2008 R2 as a Terminal Server with Outlook 2007 SP3 (incl Nov 2012 Update 12.0.6665.5000) which is known as fully supported with Exchange 2013.
    With Exchange Server 2007 we did not have any issues. But after having successfully migrated to Exchange 2013 we cannot manage our public folders favorites from these clients anymore.
    As we are running Outlook 2007 on a WTS we can not use Exchange Cache Mode and so we can also not download Public-Folders-Favorites as an option. Whenever we try to delete existing favorites or when we try to delete public folders with content or subfolders
    there will be an error msg that says that it cannot be deleted and that there may be no sufficient permissions. But this IS NOT the issue NOR the solution as I have full admin rights and am owner of the public folders.
    On single fat clients with Outlook 2007 with Exchange Cache Mode enabled we can manage the favorites and the public folders without problem.
    We need to be able to manage the favorites of all users (circa 50-60 users) from the WTS with Outlookm 2007. I have no more ideas right now. Does anyone know how to get this settled?
    Thanks, Paula

    Hi,
    Based on the description, users could access public folders successfully, but when they tried to manage public folder favorites or wanted to remove specified folders, they got error message of no sufficient permissions.
     Is it right?
    You mentioned on single fat clients with Outlook 2007 with Exchange Cache Mode enabled, user can operate normally. Is this a WTS with Outlook 2007 installed?
     If possible, please switch this Outlook client from cached mode to online mode to check result.
    Best regards,

  • Outlook Public Folder access and permissions

    How do I add an account to a public Folder and grant management permissions to that account?

    Hi,
    To add permissions for client users to access Public Folder content, we can use Exchange Management Shell to add it as what ManU PhiliP posted.
    Alternatively, we can use the Public Folder Management Console to add public folder permissions for a client user. For detailed steps about this, please refer to the following official article:

  • How to remove file path location listings from photos and objects in Acrobat Pro 9.0 PDF?

    After converting a windows-based Powerpoint 2007 presentation to an Acrobat Pro 9.0 PDF, the file path location of all photos and objects are shown in a dialogue box when the cursor is moved over the image as seen in this screenshot below. How can I stop this from happening and remove this feature on my pdf documents?

    I saw that referenced on a forum, but it does not seem to address the issue I am having.
    As per Adobe Acrobat X Standard * What’s new, the equivalent to the "Tools > Protection > Remove Hidden Information" utility found in Acrobat X Standard is the same as the "Document > Examine Document" feature in Acrobat Pro 9.0. Those tools seem to cover meta data, book marks, hidden text, and deleted or cropped content, but not the file path listings that appear on images and objects converted from Powerpoint presentations and other MS Office programs.
    I have reviewed the settings used while creating a pdf, and have also tried the “Advanced > Preflight tool”, but could not find anything to apply to the issue at hand.
    Thus, this issue has not been resolved, but seems like it should be an easy fix that anyone who publishes pdf documents would want to use to publish clean, professional documents without anyone seeing the file path location of every object and image shown in the document on their hard drive.

  • How to determine the path of the jar file cache of javawebstart?

    Hello, I need to know how to determine where the java web start application
    file jar cache is stored on windows system hard drive.
    I would have launch of the inner processes
    I have need to know the path of file jar .
    example if my application is myAppliation.jar
    in code generic class of myAppliation.jar i have the command runtime
    String strCmd =
    System.getProperties().getProperty("java.home") + "\\bin\\java" +
         " -cp " +
         System.getProperties().getProperty("java.class.path") + ";"
         + " anotherClass.class ";
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(strCmd);
    the anotherClass.class has need
    of the contained library in myAppliation.jar.

    Thanks i have tried this metod and function
    java.net.URL resource = classLoader.getResource("myResource");
    if (resource != null) {
    String s = resource.toString();
    if (s.startsWith("jar:")) {
    int index = s.indexOf("!");
    if (index > 4) {
    String fileurl = s.substring(4, index);
    if (fileurl.startsWith("file:")) {
    String path = fileurl.substring(5);
    // now path is the path to the jar file in the cache containing the resource
    System.out.println("file jar: "+path);
    }

  • How can you change the location of the iCloudDrive folder from it's default location assigned when downloaded.

    I recently downloaded the iCloudDrive folder for PC to keep my files up to date amongst my devices. I want to move the iCloudDrive folder from my default location "Jordan" to another folder I have saved on my PC. However, when I do so, the folder looses it's internet capabilities. It therefore does not automatically upload to my cloud storage, files that I add to the relocated folder. This function only seems to work when the folder is placed in "my personal folder": "Jordan". How can I move the iCloudDrive folder to a different location on my PC AND continue using it with internet functionality?!

    You cannot control, how the printed score will look. It is not supposed to be a tool for musical typesetting - only a convenience to be able to check your midi tracks quickly. You cannot even control, how the notes will be assigned to the staffs with the bass cleffs or treble clefs.
    Use other programs for better typesetting your musical scores, e.g.Finale.

  • How can i change the default settings in km folder 'favorites'?

    Dear experts,
    i have a question about the default settings in the KM folder 'favorites' (to the portal favorites iview):
    Over 'Details' in the default settings it's possible to activate the option 'manual ordering'. Then, all users can sort and order their portal favorites. But in the default settings of this folder the on top known option is not standardically activatet!!
    How can i activate this option as default eg. automatically at once for all Users??
    Under Content Administration > KM-Content > root > userhome > userXY > folder 'favorites': context menue > details: settings > manual ordering it's for each user adjustable. But if you have for example 5.000 users in the pcd of the portal it's a lot of and stupid work.
    Thank you very much for all your answers or idears of developement.
    TBM

    Hello Mr. Urs,
    thanks for your comment. But I have offered this solution already to my department. They are not contented with it because they fears it would be too complicated for the single user.
    The layout set of the iview 'portal favorites' is changeable. The real main (entrance) portal application (PAR-file) 'com.sap.km.cm' with his component 'navigation' (portalapp.xml) only very hard!!
    Is it to be put on possibly a higher folder with inheritance on the folders specific for user 'Favorites'?
    Or do you know whether is there release with support package stack that contain this already ("upgrade")?
    Thanks a lot again.
    Many greetings

  • How to determine Evaluation Path(WEGID)

    Hi All,
            I am using FM /ISDFPS/FORCE_STRUC_GET in order to get all the elements under a particular force element  In TCODE /ISDFPS/TOE1. Here is the code :
                CALL FUNCTION '/ISDFPS/FORCE_STRUC_GET'
                  EXPORTING
                    act_otype      = 'O'
                    act_objid      = objid
                    act_wegid      = O-O_DOWN
                  IMPORTING
                    act_plvar      = 01
                  TABLES
                    result_objec   = lt_objec
                    result_struc   = lt_struc
                  EXCEPTIONS
                    no_plvar_found = 1
                    root_not_found = 2
                    path_not_found = 3
                    internal_error = 4
                    OTHERS         = 5.
    However using wegid O-O_DOWN does not give all the elements under the node (objid or Force element).
    How do I know which wegid ( Evaluation path) is to be used . How can it be determined?
    Thanks ,
    Vasuki

    This sounds like something a functional consultant should be able to answer. Hope someone is around, otherwise it might just be a matter of trial and error via the transaction you have mentioned. Normally in HR that is, where these kind of FM is used as well, the description of the evaluation path is quite comprehensive. Based on that and the transaction code I always just give it a try and see what evaluation path gives the output I want. But the best alternative would be that functional consultant.

  • How to determine actual amps power of sun v20z

    Hello,
    I want to co-locate my sun v20z server and the company wants to know how much amps power I would be using.
    Sun v20z spec says 'Maximum current 7.0 amps'. How can I find out the actual amps power being used?
    I.e. what shall I say to the company?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Many Thanks!

    In general, peak amperage occurs during POST and initial bootup.
    Your V20z system can have a wide range of how its hardware is configured and so there is no way to guarantee it would use a certain amount of power.
    Let's pretend you had two of them, side by side, each configured differently.
    One configured with the slowest cpu, absolute minimum RAM, one hard drive, no optical drive, and no add-on cards. When you turn it on it boots, starts the OS and then sits there waiting for you to do something. That one might pull perhaps 4 amps
    The other system has the fastest qualified cpu, maximum RAM, two large disks, an optical drive, both PCI-x slots filled and the OS and software configured to lauch a boatload of daemons and services at bootup. There you have a box that might pull a peak of 7 amps.
    Tell the Co-Lo site that "it will use 7 amps or less". Let them decide which rack has the ampacity to accept it without impacting whatever else is in that rack. Unless they are going to charge you for a fixed amount of electrical availability it's their problem, not yours.

  • How to determine actual colors in a black and white photo?

    I'm not sure if I'm in the right section, but I'm wondering if it's possible to use an Adobe program to restore actual colors in a black and white photo? I don't want add color by imagining or guessing; I need to determine the real colors. This might not even be possible, but if it is, please tell me what I can use.
    Thank you.

    That's where the artistry comes into play when they colorize old movies.
    A lady wears a nice dress:  is it greeen or purple?  It looks gray.
    A baby comes home from the hospital cute new baby clothes: pink or blue?  They look light gray.
    That's a nice school tie that guy's wearing: use the wrong colors on the stripes, and he's at a different school.  But they're nothing more than varying shades of gray.
    If there's one thing missing in a B&W photograph, it's any vestige of color information.   All you have is gray scale.   You may NEED to determine the real colors, but without a color photograph to use as a reference image, you're out of luck.

  • How to determine actual device activiation date?

    My Verizon plan has five phone lines.  Often we will grab an available two year renewals from one line and use it for another line.  My son noticed that his line line has a renewal coming up this fall and he wants to get a new phone.  I mentioned to him that I thought he just got a new phone last summer.  (Taking another family member's renewal.)
    I would like to confirm this.  Is there a way to look at the actual date that a phone was added to a given phone number in the plan?  (Or even a device history per phone line would be great.)  Due to renewal borrowing, the renewal date listed is not always accurate.

    I am aware of the next upgrade date on the web site.  What clouds the issue in my case is that a line (or lines) has borrowed the upgrade of another line on the plan.  For example:
    Line 1: Next upgrade is 1-1-15
    Line 2: Next upgrade is 5-1-13
    On 6-1-13 the user of line1 breaks his phone.  We see there is an available upgrade for line 2.  We use (or borrow) the upgrade for line 2 to get a new phone for line 1.  The new upgrade dates are now:
    Line 1: 1-1-15
    Line 2: 5-1-15
    When I look at these dates it does not tell me the date a new device was added to a given line.  I can't just subtract two years and get that answer (since I borrowed from one line to give to another.)
    I was hoping to find a way online to determine when a device was changed for a given phone line.  The closest thing available is what rcschnoor mentioned, the online receipts.

  • How to determine actual table control line

    Hi experts,
    How can I determine the table control line in case of scrollable table control.
    I tried this one, but did not worked correctly:
        GET CURSOR LINE l_line_fc2.
        l_line = l_line_fc2 + ctrl_mod-top_line - 1.
    Everytime I try to catch the top_line of the table control its value is always 1. Is it possible?

    Hi,
    Current table control line will be found in SY-STEPL.

  • AP1131 - how to determine "elevation" for location server?

    I have some AP1131's. These have internal omni-directional antennas, so they are just square boxes with a plastic cover on the top and a mounting bracket on the bottom. I think they are supposed to be mounted upside-down on the ceiling (horizontally), but I'm not sure.
    Mine are mounted in the ceiling, but vertically, so the top cover is pointing towards a certain area of the building instead of the floor.
    So I'm trying to figure out how to set the "elevation" in the location server maps. I read that 0 degrees means the top cover of the AP points to the right (east), and 180 means it points to the left (west), and 90 degrees means it points down toward the floor. So I think I need to set mine up as 0 degrees or 180 degrees, but how do I tell it that it's pointing north or south?

    Check the two following documents:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/wcs/5.0/configuration/guide/wcsmaps.html#wpmkr1129876
    - The antenna angle is relative to the map's X axis. Because the origin of the X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) axes is in the upper left corner of the map, 0 degrees points side A of the access point to the right, 90 degrees points side A down, 180 degrees points side A to the left, and so on.
    - The antenna elevation is used to move the antenna vertically, up or down, to a maximum of 90 degrees.

  • How can I change the location of my movie folder

    Hello,  I just consolidated two mac computers into one mac mini.  Now both my wife and I want to share the same actual computer (new mac mini) and share media folders so we are not duplicating photo imports and movies.  I figured out how to map the iTunes library and the iPhoto library to a shared folder, but cannot get how to map the 'movie' folder to a single folder for both accounts.  This would be needed so we can share and work on the same iMovie projects between the two accounts.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
