How to determine GPIB-ENET firmware version?
I have several of the older GPIB-ENET units. I see the latest firmware binary on the FTP site is A5. I'm pretty sure our units have olders revs since they were installed several years ago. However the manual says to only update the firmware when necessary since there are a limited number of times the firmware can be updated.
My question: Is there a way to determine the device firmware version so I'm positive I need to update?
I notice the new EthernetConfig utility for GPIB-ENET/100 devices shows the firmware revision when you select the device. Can this utility also "see" older GPIB-ENET devices and show the firmware revision for these older devices as well?
Hi,
Could you email in to the technical support deparment? You can go to www.ni.com/ask. We'll try some alternatives.

How to query for a firmware version?
Hi,
My customer requires to report all firmware versions for all components. How do I acquire a firmware version for a PXI card? I have a number fo card (PXI-5421, PXI-4072, PXI-6653).
Thanks
CTHey Cimteker,
Firmware is handled differently accross various cards. Unfortuantely because of this, there's no one easy way to get firmware versions for everycard since it isn't all handled in the same way. I'm curious what the overall application is and why all of the firmware versions for the cards are needed. The driver version updates all the firmware that's necessary. Because of this, alot of time firmware is driver dependant.
Do you by any chance have an open service request with this same issue? We're currently looking into the firmware versions for these cards, and I'm wondering if the two issues are tied together.
The PXI-5421 is an arbitrary waveform generator FGEN device. with FGen, there's a VI inside of the driver that will actually return the firmware. It's called niFGEN Revision Query VI. You can get there by going to NI-FGEN » Utility >» niFgen Revision Query.vi. I also believe niSCOPE has the same situation.

How to find out the firmware version in my Nokia 6...
I have tried to follow your instructions about checking the firmware version in my Nokia 6630 but you missed some important final steps. How do you do it step by step?
You shouldn't look at getting your firmware updated just because there's a newer version - only if you're experiencing faults. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is something well worth bearing in mind.

How do I find my firmware version G5 dual 1.8
Where can I find the firmware my computer is running?
ThanksBoot with an Apple wired keyboard command-option-o-f to get the boot ROM version.
http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/g5/powermac_g5_docs_updates.html says:
G5 Boot Rom (Firmware) Versions: (Update - as of April 2004 G5s are shipping with boot rom v5.15. In late 2003 Apple released G5 firmware 5.1.4 update for 2003 models and in Nov 2004 released a 5.1.8f7 update for June 2004 models. The comments below were from early owners before that release.) After the report about early G5 shipments reportedly having problems with mixing 3rd party RAM with the OEM RAM (Hynix brand reportedly) I wondered if the boot rom version had changed since the first shipments. The S/N XB337xxxxx Dual G5 here (shipped 9/15) has rom version 5.0.2f2 (as reported by Apple System Profiler). Several readers sent their G5 boot rom versions:
" Dual 2 Ghz BTO in UK
CK338xxS-NVB
(boot rom version) 5.0.5f0
Tan "
Another Dual G5 owner (very recent shipment) wrote he has an even later boot rom version:
" Mike, I got my G5 Dual 1 week ago, Just looked at the Boot rom version and it is newer than others mentiond in todays news."
Machine model
PowerMac7,2 (version = 2.2)
Boot Rom: 5.0.7f0
And another report of 5.0.7f0 firmware:
" Mike, we have three CTO machines, built 9/19 (1) and 9/22 (2) boot Rom on all three - 5.0.7f0
-- Fred C.
General Manager
TheTroupe Modern Media Design & Production "
A reader with 5.0.7f0 firmware noted he still had problems using CL2 dimms (even without any CL3 OEM dimms installed based on his previous comments) - so there's still a requirement for DIMMs to have CL3 timing in the SPD. One reader later wrote he had an even earlier boot rom version than mine - 5.0.1f0.
Maybe Apple is waiting to accumulate fixes/changes before releasing a public update - but I'm hoping they will soon release a firmware update for the G5s which might solve some of the quirks that some owners have seen. -
How to identify current Liveview firmware version?
Got one of these recently and started out fine but as I pile more plugins on, both phone and liveview are starting to struggle. Was wondering if the update would improve things, but obviously no point applying if I already have it. So how do I know what version my firmware is at?
Ta in advance!Anything substainial you'd hear about at: http://blogs.sonyericsson.com/products otherwise, you might here about little updates/change here.
As for announcements about future updates, we don't typically announce these things, but again, you'd hear it online first. -
How to determine Which Acrobat DC version is installed? Pro or Std
I need to track which computers have which version for Licensing and update purposes. I use Dell K1000 for tracking and updating. With Acrobat XI, Pro and Standard had different uninstall registry keys so I was able to track them with a simple check for which registry key was on the computer. They would also show up separately in Dell Case stating Pro or Standard. However, With Acrobat DC the uninstall keys are the same and they both only show up as Acrobat DC in Dell K1000. How does Acrobat DC determine which version is installed and how can I duplicate it so I can count used license and install the correct updates?
Pre-Deployment Planning — Enterprise Administration Guide States "
Installing Acrobat DC Standard¶
Acrobat DC products delivered via an ESD EXE download provide one installer that is used for both Acrobat Standard and Professional. The serial number you use determines which product is installed. What’s important to note is that when you extract the Acrobat ESD EXE (Acrobat_DC_Web_WWMUI.exe or Acrobat_2015_Web_WWMUI.exe), you’ll see AcroPro.msi in the output folder. This is the correct behavior. Simply remember to use AcroPro.msi in any command line scripts.
Note
Existing scripts that use AcroStan.msi should be updated."
Both Acrobat DC Pro and Standard have KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\2015\Installer ENU_GUID {AC76BA86-1033-FFFF-7760-0E0F06755100}
On the laptop with DC standard installed C:\ProgramData\regid.1986-12.com.adobe\regid.1986-12.com.adobe_V7{}AcrobatESR-12-Win-GM-e n_US.swidtag
On the laptop with DC Pro installed C:\ProgramData\regid.1986-12.com.adobe\ is empty
Your guide does not have any information regarding Acrobat DC. Please explain how to verify if Acrobat DC Pro or standard is installed. or explain how to get the ENU_GUID for standard to start with {AC76BA86-1033-FFFF-BA7E. -
How do i read the firmware version programmatically
specifically for VXi controllers master and slaves(MXI2)
I assume "no firmware" on master/slave devices is only in a MXI system.
Due to obsolescence we are using the VXI-MXI-2 in its slot-0-controller function (not actually for MXI), I assume there's got to be firmware, and that your "configuration EPROM stores data, but this is not firmware" note applies only to MXI bus functions? -

I managed to find only one other boot log to compare to (here) but comapring the two hasn't given me much insight. On the surface it seems like my issue is that the AHCI SATA loader is trying and failing to get port 0 to respond. I've posted the full boot log here, but I'll post the last bit here in hopes that someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks. Hit any key to stop autoboot: 0

How to check the firmware version of my MSI DR8-A
Hi guys,
How do I check the firmware version of my DVD writer MSI DR8-A ?
I just bought this DVD writer, burned a DVD using a Melody DVD disc.
And have problem reading it.
Does it have anything to do with the firmware version?
Is there a list of recommended DVD disc to be used with this burner ?
Thanks a lot !!!Click Start, then Run and then type msinfo32.
When the box pops up it'll have the options for your listed components. Open this tree and find your DVD-RW. To the right it will list your firmware for this drive.
I do not know of any problems with these drives and certain media, but then again I haven't used any yet as I've only just got the drive. Don't scare me. -
