How to determine linked reports of a SCCM 2012 Report

Hi,
My end objective is to get the SQL statement for a report - 'Deployment that target a computer'.
I can see SQL statements through Data sets in Report Builder. those SQL Statements are accepting few parameters from some linked report i believe. I want to determine the values of those linked parameters.
let me know how can we check what are the linked reports for a particular report in SCCM 2012
Sonam Rastogi

You could open a Report in Report Builder, right click on one of the field in the Report and click properties. There under Action you should see if the field is linked to another report.

  • How to determine if reports are being run/used

I have two Crystal report environments.  One being version 7.5 and the other is version 10.  Between them, there is a very large number of reports (1000's) that accumulated over the years. I am looking for a way to be able to tell which reports are being run and actually used. By used I mean actually being pulled from the repository.   I do not know all the specific details of the environments and not a CR expert so it is hard for me to provide too much more details.  Any help or suggestions on how to try to determine which reports are being used is greatly appreciated.

    You mention; "Crystal report environments"
    and
    "pulled from the repository"
Question is; what is the Crystal report environment in your definition? E.g.; what is the actual product? It could be what used to be called Crystal Info (v 7), Crystal Enterprise (v. 10). Or it could be an app written by someone in your organization. Or it could be an app written by a 3rd party.
In any case, getting answers for these products will be difficult as you're looking at products that are close to 10 years out of support (v. 10) and well over 10 years out of support (v. 7).

  • How to manage Work group Computer through SCCM 2012 R2

    Hello..Experts,
We have to manage the Workgroup Computers both Linux and windows Environment through SCCM 2012 R2.
what are limitation associated with managing Workgroup computer both with Linux and windows Computers through SCCM.
Please help us how to achieve this.

Windows devices that are Workgroup members have the same features for management as domain joined devices except that it is slightly more difficult to get the client installed on these 'unmanaged' devices.
The Linux computers have only basic support for  Inventory, Application Management, and Compliance.
    I hope that helps,

  • How to determine User Device Affinity without SCCM!?

Hard to know for sure. You can query the folder list at c:\users, and check the registry for the last logon dates of the various profiles. One would hope that the most recent logon(s) would be the primary user(s).

What are some ways I can create a user device relationship? Preferably with PowerShell of course. I'm working on an intraforest domain migration and want to correlate the user and devices for the migration. That way the local profiles will get merged before the user logs in.

  • How to deploy Cisco ISE agents through SCCM 2012 R2

    Hi,
We are deploying Cisco ISE in our setup. we need to deploy following 3 .msi & 1 .xml files to 3000 PCs through System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager.
The configuration.xml file must be deployed in specified (%ProgramData%\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\NetworkAccessManager\newConfigFiles) location.
    anyconnect-nam-win-4.0.02052-k9.msi
    anyconnect-win-4.0.02052-pre-deploy-k9.msi
    nacagentsetup-win-4.9.0.42.msi
    configuration.xml
The above 3 .msi files should be installed silently and configuration.xml file to be copied to said location.
I want to create  one package to deploy 3.msi files at once and another package for .xml file.
    or
Is there anyway to create in one package to install the .msi files first and copy the .xml file as well.
    Any idea please.

  • Perms to specific reports folder in sccm 2012

Have set up access to certain reports based on security settings in sccm so accounts in specific AD group can access certain sccm reports via ssrs reporting web site.  Utilized the very useful information in the links below.  I have a request for
the group to access the network folder reports, but that means I would have to give RUN REPORT perms to the SITE permission in the security role, as that is the only group that includes the network folder.  I don't want to give them access to the
rest of the stuff it includes, such as client push, client status, replication traffic, etc., as that would just cause confusion among the customer base.  I don't want to give them anymore than they need.  I tried giving the group rights to the individual
reports in the network folder, but the problem is that since there is no access to the folder itself without doing the above, they can't get to the reports.  I could give them rights to the folder via SSRS but then SCCM would just overwrite that 15 minutes
later.  Does anyone have any suggestions on this one?  Thanks.  : )

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmanagergeneral/thread/8525cfa6-aaa4-4d34-a296-a9a8cb76e5a3/

I'm not concerned about giving them more rights, I'm concerned about giving them access to reports that they don't need access to, otherwise there would be widespread confusion and misunderstanding.  This, in turn, would generate anxiety-based
calls to the support desks, that I would like to avoid.  I'm not trying to hide anything from them, I just don't want to cause undue worry and confusion.  Make sense?
So don't give them access to reports that you don't want them to have. Here is a blog that will tell you how to grant access to one report.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 bitlocker reporting via "Computers running a specific service"

I have searched the web for how to check how many clients have bitlocker enabled, via SCCM 2012 R2. All suggestions I find are SQL commands.
I have not found anyone who suggest using the report Operating System -> Services - Computers running a specific service -> Bitlocker Drive encryption service
Why is that? Is this report not trustworthy?
    Kthxbai

    Hi,
The service is used for prompting user's actions or storing encrypted information. It does not mean BitLocker is enabled when the service is running or not. You can start it manually. I suggest you refer to the blog below to utilize DCM to check if the Bitlocker
    is enabled.

  • Software Update Compliance Report in SCCM 2012

    Hi Everyone,
My question is in sccm 2007 we generate the  compliance report based on update list without downloading the patches just adding the same to update list, However the update list is being replaced by update group in sccm 2012, How can we achieve the same
in sccm 2012 or do we need to build the custom report if yes please let me know.
    Thanks In Advanced
    ashu Maheshwari

Because of the retrograde reporting for WSUS data in SCCM, I have the "send info to WSUS" checked on the SUP so I can view data in the old WSUS console. By comparing what computers need how many patches and using the reports in SCCM, you can see massive
discrepancies in both how many computers need patches and how many patches each computer needs. For example, WSUS will say ComputerA needs 10 patches and SCCM will say it needs 6, or whatever. As far as these two points go, WSUS is far more accurate.
I first noticed this months ago.
I think this is not a matter of how the SCCM queries are written, but because SCCM is far more flaky than WSUS. To me, WSUS is like a good reliable run of the mile car and SCCM is like a race car--powerful but finicky and persnickety. It's harder to get
clients to fully check in with SCCM. SCCM can do lots but my biggest gripes with it are:
    1) Clients especially flaky and persnickety, one tiny thing gets out of whack and it won't work
    2) WSUS is far more accurate in reporting what patches are needed
    3) For WSUS reporting, they took a lot of WSUS-related/patch reporting out of SCCM, towit you can't get the info you used to be able to get without writing a custom report. This is why you can easily find code samples on the net. And along that point I still
can't get report builder to work and I don't have another report tool available to me. I know the SQL code samples I have work because I can run the queries in Mgmt Studio.

  • How to check Edition of SCCM 2012 got installed ?

Microsoft has two different System Center Suite 2012 licensing models
    System Center 2012 Standard
    System Center 2012 Datacenter
After installation How do I check what Edition of SCCM 2012 got installed?

These are only licensing models. You do not select which to install. There is no difference in the binaries or after installation (it's not like Window Server where you can see this in Control Panel).

  • SCCM 2012 Password Age and if not set to Expire

    Hi,
I browsed the Resource Explorer in SCCM 2012, and found that it shows the Age a person last changed their passwords.
Can anyone assist me on how to get that data out of SCCM 2012?
    Kind Regards

If you are talking about reports, First you need to configure sccm to collect that attribute from AD in the
ad user discovery properties on Active directory Attributes tab. After the successful collection of those attributes you can query against "v_R_User" view and extract the information.
Adding the attribute Pwd-Last-Set and msds-UserPasswordExpiryTime0 to user inventory would be of some help.

  • Loading the SCCM 2012 R2 Cmdlets from within a module

    Hi together,
In the following article was described how to load the Powershell Module for SCCM 2012:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrteam/archive/2013/03/27/powershell-connecting-to-configuration-manager.aspx
I've taken the code to build a function to load the Powershell Module which works fine when i directly integrate it in my scripts.
Currently i build a Module called SCCM-HelperFunctions.psm1 and the above mentioned function is one which i want to integrate, i named it "Import-Cmdlets". The Import of my Module works fine,  the function "Import-Cmdlets" is available
trough IntelliSense and the command ends with no errors in the context of the given Site (ex. "PS CM1:\") but when i try to use SCCM Cmdlets the Command is not found.
I've checked if the Module was loaded successfully but it isn't. Following is the function included in the Module:
    Function Import-SCCMCmdlets {

    Regardsm

The process of deploying non-security updates and security updates are the same.
    As a side note:
To reduce the numbers of required updates, you can also download service packs, and other updates (msp files) and copy them to the update folder of your Office installation source. Then they will be installed as part of the Office deployment process.
