How to - Dial ext from AA, xfer to overhead page, play recording; then DirCallPark

I have a customer who is replacing a Toshiba system with UCM-BE / Unity Connection. Toshiba has the following functionality:
External caller dials extension from AA, a pre-recorded annoucement is played on the overhead paging system, then caller is parked at a specific extension.
Is there a way to duplicate this with Unity Connection (7.1.3)? No problem transferring to a Directed Call Park number, but what about the additional step of dialing the paging DN and playing a recording?

If I follow your scenario, this is not possible with CUCM/CUC. You may be able to do something like this with UCCX but that may be a little overkill.

an interesting question. Anchors work across pages (global) without any problem. Do they work within tabs or any other widgets I haven't tried, but it looks like you have and without success. I can see the temptation for doing this, but if you think about it why would you? Set the anchor on the page next to the tab(s) and hey presto the user needs only click the tab to which the hperlink refers, nothing could be more convenient! Of course, if the user cannot relate the tab to the hyperlink there's a problem. Generally solved by titling (like if the hyperlink is cats, the tab should preferably read cats and not dogs)! It's the only work around i can think of. Hope it helps.

How to dial phone # from calendar

I am very frustrated that I can't seem to dial a phone number I entered as an event in my calendar with just a tap. Yet, lo and behold, I go onto the Apple site and I see this:
"Using Multi-Touch on iPhone makes the Calendar application intuitive and simple to use. Tap to create and send out meeting invites, accept or decline a meeting invitation, or dial a phone number from meeting notes."
What does this mean? Where? I regularly set up the phone numbers of people I need to call in Calendar and, so far, I can do this on any phone but can't figure out how to do this from the iPhone. Is this feature only available in "meeting notes?" Where is that? Is it visible on your calendar? If it isn't, who cares?

Yes, only in the Notes. Meaning, if you or whoever organized the meeting enters a phone number in the Notes field, you can tap the number to dial it. The field is only present if notes were entered - for example, you can enter notes when creating a new event on the iPhone; for Outlook invitations sent via Exchange, text entered into the 'body' of the calendar event are Notes. It +does not+ work for numbers entered the location field (which is how most of my invites are, unfortunately).

How do I switch from (4) 8.5 x11 pages to (2) 11x17 w/o impacting layout

I have just completed a 4 page newsletter. This is the first time I have ever used Pages. After completing it, I realized to get it into the format I need it to print in, I need it to be 2 up so that it prints on an 11x17 inch piece of paper which will then get folded in half to form the newsletter.
My question is now that I have created them as 4 pages, is there an easy way to port them to the 2 page 11x17 size without having to lay them out again? I have tried figuring it out, but can't seem to come up with a way that works.

The scaling is not a problem. You do that via the print dialogue, rather than trying to adjust your document. From the third dialogue box down in the print dialogue select first "layout" and consider the options there. You'll need to set "pages per sheet" at 2, then try to work out what printing sequence you need. This may or may not yield a satisfactory answer, depending on whether your printer handles duplex printing, and how its driver sets this up.
You can adjust the scaling, if needed (but it's probably not, on those figures) in "Destination Paper Size" under Paper Handling from the same scroll box. It's there you'll have to set your intended 2-up size. But any insoluble problems are likely to arise from trying to find a correct page layout sequence from the "Layout" options. With one sided printing, doing odd & even numbers in turn, it can prove impossibly baffling.
Because of this, most members on this forum recommend the Cocoa Booklet application, which will automate all this. You can find it at:

How to remove value from pop list in iProcurement Page

I need to remove a value from POP list. How can I do this? Can I do this using Perosnalization?
While creating requisition in the approvers page there are two buttons one is Approvers and another is Add_Attachments.
When I click Add_Attachments button it will open another page there I need enter description and select category from the pop list and define attachment.
In the category list I need to remove one value. How do i do this.Personalization links not available in this page.
Please help guys...

First you need to find out the data source for the category pop list. Based on that we can suggest how to achieve that requirement as there are many different ways of specifying the data source for a pop list.

How to transfer data from an IFrame to another page

Hi,
I had a search page with a search selection and an interactive report region for the result.
Then, via a button, I submitted the data from the search results to another page (plsql process).
Now we have changed that and the interactive report with the results is located in an own page, this page is 'embedded' in my old Search page within an IFrame.
If I want to use the button to transfer the data --> no data is transferred. I guess this is because the button and the process is not on the new page but in the old search page.
How should I handle that now? Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi,
You could try moving the process to the report page and have a hidden button on the page as well. Your existing button could call some javascript that does something like:
document.frames("iframe_ID").document.doSubmit("report_page_button_name");I don't use IFRAMEs myself any more as some functionality is not available "for security reasons" in javascript, so the above is just a theory!

You mean Data transfer between two components..
To pass the value from one component to other component, you can use used component scenario.
For example let use assume we have two comp ..
Comp A,
Comp B.
now we need to pass the value from Comp A to Comp B.
Then declare the Comp A as used component in Comp B.
Now then you can create a node in the comp A component controller and check the interface check box there then the
node and the attribute will be present in the interface controller also .
and this interface controller context you can access in the component and map it to view there and display it.

How to hide options from InfoView's "Schedule Report Page"?

We are using Business Objects XI R2 InfoView (Java version) to schedule the reports.
Whle schedling the reports, schedule page displays the following option to the users -
1. When
2. Database Logon
3. Filters
4. Destination
5. Format
6. Print Settings
7. Server Group
8. Events
9. Parameters
And I need to display only three options (When, Format and Parameters) to the user and want to hide the rest of the options from the user.
Please let me know how to acheive this using the InfoView (Java version)?

I do not want the user to enter / change the database logon information and other setting of the report. As I set those info using the CMC.
And writing the our own pages using SDK will take lots of efforts and require java professionals for that.
I only need to hide those options please let me know how to hide them.

If this is the case, the only real way to get it to your server through a webpage is to use a file upload control. This means the user has to select the photo manually before he presses the submit button.

not sure what your model is, but if it is Business Components, I think I would expose the properties as a client method on the application module. This way all JClient panels and frames will have access to it. You could use a HashMap to store the data in teh app module.
If JDBC supports the record type, then you should be able to call it via a prepared SQL statement. If not, you may consider writing a PLSQL accessor to your stored procedure that returns something that can be handled.
