How to different files in my iPad?

Is there any application to find files in my iPad3? Search different books in different readers, photos and other files? Like search in Windows. Thanks.

There's not beyond the spotlight search that's on your iPad. When you're on your home screen, the main one, swipe to the left and spotlight search will come up. You can search for terms from within there.

how to transfer files from 1 ipad to another

Depends what you are trying to transfer.
Are you just trying to add content such as apps, music and photos?
Or are these files that were created by such apps as pages and numbers?
You can download content that was purchased in the itunes or app store by signing into same account.
You can dowload any documents saved to icloud by signing into the same account.
You can create a backup of the first ipad and restore the second from that backup.
You can import or sync the content from the first ipad into itunes and then manually sync to the second.
But this all depends on what you are actually trying to do.

  • Has anyone began using the new iStick?  I cannot figure out how to save files from my iPad to the new iStick?

I have recently bought the new iStick and absolutely love it!  The only question that I have is figuring out how to open a file on my iPad and saving it to the iStIck.  Does anyone have any experience with this?

Here's the app and an article. Sorry I never used one.

  • How to transfer files from one iPad to a new iPad

I am trying to transfer all my files from an iPad 2 to a new iPad 2 as the glass on the old one has broken. They both work.
    Thanks

Make sure the old iPad is synched using iTunes (or iCloud).
Then sync the new iPad using the same Apple ID, and iTunes (or iCloud).

  • How to copy files from an iPad app to your computer?

I thought I'd post this since the online help leaves out a step and this might be confusing to other users as well.
To export a file from the iPad to your computer, you need to first "Export" the file (at least in Pages you need to). To do this you:
    1. Select *My Documents* in the upper left (if you're in the file on the iPad)
    2. Select the Transfer icon at the bottom of the screen
    3. Select Export
    4. Select the *File Format* you want
    5. Go to *iTunes > Apps > File Sharing* (at the bottom of the page)
    6. Select your *App (Pages)* -- +You may need to re-select this. The first time I copied the file (even after the above) it still copied the old file (weird). Re-selecting refreshes the file list on the right. You can check the date stamp of the file as well.+
    7. *Drag and drop the file* to your desktop from iTunes (this is the step the online help describes, but it leaves out the export step above.
    I hope this helps...
+(A note to Apple: You should make file sharing easier. Maybe move the function to the tools menu in all your apps. I'd suggest this is where people expect Export, Mail, and Print functions to be...)+

  • How do mov files work on iPad

    Hi.
I have been sent a movie in the mov format but it won't open on my iPad.
Can you tell me how I can view it?

Is the file on your computer or is it on your iPad?  MOV files are just wrappers and they need to be in the proper format to be viewed.  iPad 2's can view H.264 encoded movies with Main Line Profile 3.1 at 720p, while iPad 3+ can view 1080p movies encoded with H.264 HIgh Profile 3.1.  If you have the movie on your Mac, you can drag and drop it to you iPad with Pic Share It.  It will automatically convert the movie if it not in the proper format, so you can view it on your iPad.

  • How to transfer files from my iPad to another iTune application?

    Good day.
Does anybody know how to transfer my iPad 2 existing files to another iTune application?
    Thanks.

I presume you mean from one iPad app to another iPad app within your device. Firstly, it needs to be compatible. Take for example a PDF file in ibooks. Open it, go to the arrow which allows you to email it. Email it to yourself and when you click on the attachment on the incoming email you get a choice as to what you open it in and this depends on the compatible programmes you have installed.
Another example is a Pages file. Open it and go to the Tools (spanner icon). Select Share and Print and you get the option to email it, and subsequently in a number of formats. Again, email it to yourself and follow the instructions in the earlier example.
There are obviously other ways but this should whet you appetite!

  • How to get files on new Ipad

Hey guys, I am selling my Macbook Pro right now to buy a new iPad with a wireless keyboard. Doing this will still allow me to do all of the things that I normally do, plus supply me with a camera, a more portable device, and some extra money to buy my mom a phone.
I am wondering how I can get all of my music, photos and document onto my new iPad once I get it. I will no longer have my laptop at that point. I have all the files I want saved on a flash drive already. How would I do that?

One solution would be to keep the MacBook until you get the new iPad and sync as much as possible with iTunes (photos, music, videos, etc). You could also upload all of your files to DropBox or similar service, then sync up with the iPad later.

  • How to download files by using ipad

How to download the pictures or files from ipad4 using safari browser,it always says it cannot be downloaded
What alternative is available to solve this issue

In either Applet or AppletContext you should find 2 methods
    getCodeBase()
    getDocumentBase()
it is possible that those methods may return the same URL although they might not depending on how everything's set up. But anyway you can use that to get a URL and use the URL to open a connection

  • How do I transfer non-iTunes music files from my iPad to my MacBook using home sharing?

My MacBook Pro hard drive recently had to be replaced by Apple, because it quit for some reason they couldn't identify. However, now my ipad2 doesn't recognize my macbook pro and I have at least 200 music files in my library on my iPad that I did not get from iTunes. I need to upgrade my iPad to iOS 5 but I also don't want to lose all those music files. I was hopeful I could use home sharing to sync my iTunes libraries, but I can't figure out how to export files from my iPad. Please help, anyone?

I was hopeful I could use home sharing to sync my iTunes libraries,
Unfortunately, you can only stream content to your iOS devices via home sharing (not sync it).
I'd have a check through the following user tip instead:
Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device

  • How to transfer files like music from mac to ipad? tried it using mac but what happen was opposite!

how to transfer files like music from mac to ipad? tried it few times but what happen was the opposite.

If you want to sync your iTunes library on your Mac to your iPad ....
Connect your iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes. Click on your iPad's name on the left side under the devices heading. Then click on the Music tab - and select the music that you want to transfer. Does your iTunes window look like this - with Sync Music checked and the playlists or albums checked as well like in the photo below?
When you click on the apps tab do you have Sync Apps checked and all of the apps in the window below checked to sync as well?
If you select all of the items under the different tabs in iTunes - music, apps, photos. etc. - when you sync - all of the selected content should sync over to the iPad.

  • How to Stop automatic file saving on IPAD Adobe Reader 11.2

How can stop my PDF document being saved with the fillable form data when being using Adobe Reader 11.2 on an IPAD - the file is automatically saved when the user returns to the document folder.  The original pdf file was created from a Word document and then text, signature and date fields added using Adobe Acrobat XI and saved using Standard Save function. I am trying to achieve my users completing the template form using the IPAD and then emailing it. However each time the form is filled and emailed (which all works fine) and the user returns to the "documents" folder, Acrobat Reader 11.2 automatically saves the file with the form data

I think the iPad forces a different way of thinking. In general, you don't have to save files on the iPad, and that's important. The iPad has complete liberty to quit an app when you want to run a different app, or just because it feels like it. When you restart a good app, things are as they were when it was quit.
Resetting is a possibility, but remember that because of this automatic quit/automatic restart it might happen when you don't want it. A reset BUTTON seems entirely possible.

  • How to create different files on an mp3 disc (itunes)

hello! I'm trying to make an mp3 disc from iTunes, i managed to make the mp3 and it works fine, but when i put it in my car all the songs are under one file called "home" (not sure why). How can i divide up the music into different files/more than one file other than just "home"? Essentially i want an mp3 disc divided into categories/files.
    Thanks!

I was searching for an answer to how to delete docs from the "Pages" app on an ipad. I don't know if this is your exact question... My answer for me was to go into itunes, click my ipad under "devices" in the left tabs column, then click "apps" in the top row, scroll down to "Pages" and click. You see your docs listed, select the doc you want to delete and hit the delete key on the keyboard. It'll ask if you want to delete. (I'm not sure if you need to delete it on the ipad also, but that's what I did).
I just added a new doc in itunes, but when I synced the new didn't show up. So I closed "Pages" and iTunes and still no show with added doc, but what I deleted was not there. I then on the ipad I clicked "Copy from iTunes" and added the new doc that way. Not sure why it didn't automatically bring in the added doc this time.
The link I got the "delete" docs info from: http://www.macworld.com/article/151185/2010/05/ipadfiles.html
    Hope something helps.

  • How do I permanently delete Numbers files on the iPad?

    Friends:
How do I permanently delete Numbers files on the iPad? I use the trash button, and they seem to be deleted, but they are not. If I leave Numbers and come back, I can still load the deleted files!
How do i permanently delete them?
    Thanks
    Migs

Do you mean to delete them from numbers, or from the shared folder location in the upper right? The previous poster was addressing the second. If you want to completely delete something from the iPad, you must do both, the trash can icon when e current workbook is in front of the list, and swipe to delete from the shared folder list. It's two completely different locations.

  • How do I upload files from my iPad to my Imac?

How do I transfer files from my Ipad to my Intel Imac computer? Also, how do I delete files from my Ipad?
I would like to transfer some image files and some movie files to my computer.
Is there a prefered app for this?
    Thanks, barr

To copy photos and videos in the Photos app that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page - on a Mac you can use iPhoto, Aperture or Image Capture. If that is what you also want to delete from the iPad then you can either do it as part of the import process, or you can delete them directly in the Photos app, either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it (Edit button on iOS 6) in thumbnail view. If they were originally synced from a computer then they can only be deleted by de-selecting them on Photos tab and re-syncing, they can't be deleted directly on the iPad.
If they are in other apps then it will depend upon what apps that they are in, different apps have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer - either via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc. iTunes purchases can be copied back to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iOS 6).
