How to disable Apple Mail 2 cache forever?

Hello,
I really need to disable cache for Apple Mail 2 application without program restarting. Our designers make a greeting cards and they need to test it with Apple Mail application. The cards have remote pictures inside body and those pictures is different every time. It works fine with Apple Mail 3 under leopard and with Apple Mail 2 of latest minor version.
I got no any response with suggestion from Apple Support.
Can somebody help me with my problem?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Victor.

Hello,
I had tried the method with permission setup for Apple Mail Cache folder (I made it as 700) and I got a result. The Apple Mail 2 doesn't display the images from cache, but I've got another problem. Some images in specific HTML message body still appear. I don't know why. The message body does have a header, central content image and footer. The central image doesn't appear but images in header and footer always appears despite the fact that Apple Mail option Show Remote Images is disable and message is Junk.
Odd!
Could somebody tell me whats wrong?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Victor.

  • How to Disable Apple Mail?

I do not want to use or set up Apple Mail, but it continues to pop up asking me to set it up. I have no intentions of doing that. How can I disable it? I have tried the following:
    1. Setting it up and disabling it --> it screwed up my system
    2. I tried to remove only the mail ---> It messed up my system and asks where the mail is in pop ups.
    3. I've tried Google notifier and setting that as my default --> Doesn't work
    4. I've checked the preferences, accounts, login items ----> Mail is not listed
    HELP!
    <Edited by Host>

I finally figured out why the mail kep't on popping up. The mail does not normally behave this way. However, my calendar was inheriting from my Google calendar and they had alerts. These alerts kept pushing their messages to Apple Mail and thus it kept popping up. After I disabled that it has stopped annoying me. I tried every other imaginable thing. I hope this helps those who have a similar malady with their Apple Mail.

  • How to disable Apple Mail Copy message

After an unsuccessful search for an Apple Mail forum, I will post this here (I miss the old forums--so easy to use):
I am almost always accidently using "Copy Message" when trying to move a message from my Inbox to a folder. This function is completely useless to me. Is there a way to disable it or remove it from the Message menu?

    No.
Why don't you simply drag the message to the folder?

  • Does anyone know how to get apple mail in Lion to connect with Exchange 2007?

Does anyone know how to get apple mail in Lion 10.7.2 to connect with Exchange 2007?  It worked perfectly with Snow Leopard... upgraded to lion and it won't work.  We use Exchange 2007 with SP 3 and Rollup 4.  Won't connect... and I can't get Apple to give me any direction.

We finally got it to work today.  We had to call and pay for the microsoft support service, but the issue was on the server end.  We had to go into the iis manager... went to sites... when to default website...and changed the SSL settings for Auto Discover, EWS Exadmin, echange, exchweb, owa... and the rest..
Change the settings to ignore client certificates.
Problem solved. Can finally send and receive.

  • How to Forward Apple Mail

Can you tell me how to forward apple mail? I need a more powerful junk/spam screener that Yahoo.com provides....
    <E-mail Edited by Host>

    Not sure I understand correctly:
Apple Mail is a desktop email client; Yahoo is an online email service.
Is your problem that Apple Mail does not filter junk mail well enough? And you want to open your Apple Mail in Yahoo Mail?
Or are you currently getting your Yahoo mail forwarded to Apple Mail and opening it on Apple Mail?

  • How to configar apple mail

how to configar apple mail & what is the defult path of mails storge?

    Hello suhas.tawade,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
Configuring Mail for your email account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1277
Mail can automatically get the email account settings for many email service providers
    Open Mail.
Choose Add Account from the File menu. If this is the first time you've opened Mail, you will be automatically prompted to add an account.
Enter your Full Name, email address, and password. See Mac 101: Mail article for more information.
    Best of luck,

  • How to repair Apple Mail's frozen 'send' button?

how to repair Apple Mail's frozen 'send' button?

More details on the particular "adjustments", please?
AFAIK, there's no documented to insinuate a change into an outbound SMTP message (if that's what you're up to here) within Apple Mail.
Most commonly, these sorts of header adjustments arise at an intermediate mail server.  Usually spam filters have something similar.
If these particular "adjustments" are possible within Mail, then it's likely via the undocumented plugins API underneath Apple Mail.  And, well, that API is not documented.  And the plugins API has changed at various Apple Mail updates, too; it's clearly not a stable API.

  • Apple Mail / Font Cache Problem

Is anyone else experiencing problems with Apple Mail (4.2) and font caches? Recently the copy of Mail on my desktop Mac seems to find it increasingly hard to maintain both incoming and outgoing connections to GMail - it connects intermittently (if at all) although my internet connection is fine. Also my laptop (with pretty much the same configuration and with the same fonts) does not seem to have the same problem. As far as I can recall this only started after updating to 10.6.2.
There is no problem when I boot in Safe Mode.
The only work around that I have found so far is to clear the user & system font cache (using Onyx) and restart. This then allows me to send & receive for a short time until the problem occurs again. I have tried to check whether any of the system / library fonts have become corrupted but it appears not (according to FontDoctor). I am not experiencing any other font-related issues.
Any ideas as to what could be doing the damage or at least how I might try to track down the cause of the problem?

    MacBook Pro, !0.8.2
    Mail > Preferences > Fonts & Colors
There are options available for messages.
    Click the "Select" button.
A window will pop up and from that font size can be selected.

  • After crash, how do stop apple mail (os 10.7.5, applemail 5.3) from pulling in old mail on reboot

I've got a frustrating problem and need your help.
My Mac pro (os 10.7.5) froze so I was forced to push the button to restart.
After reboot, apple mail 5.3 auto opened and pulled in thousands of old mail that were long ago deleted.
Now, is there a way to mass delete the new/old mail that reappeared without losing what mail I wanted to save?
More importantly, how can I avoid this the next time my mac freezes because it's not the first time it's happened and it's does not happen on every crash.
    Please advise
    Thanks

The mail that keeps coming back is what is still sitting on your mail server. If this is a POP mail account you can configure Mail to delete mail that has been downloaded.
Click Mail in the menu bar and select Preferences. In Preferences, click Accounts and select your mail account on the left, then click Advanced. There you can decide on the setting you want: "Remove copy from server after retrieving a message", to for example After one day.
If you have an IMAP account  - say gmail - the process is different. Post back if that is what you have.

  • After crash/reboot, how do get apple mail to stop pulling in old/deleted mail?

This has happend so many times, it's getting frustrating.
Finder or another program freezes, I force quit and the mac freezes.
I restart, open apple mail and it startes pulling in every piece of mails sitting on the mail server.
It's happened too many times and I end up having to delete thousands of emails.
Any idea why and how I can stop this from happening?
    Thanks

  • How to disable a JSP page caching?

              Hello there,
How do I can disable a JSP page caching? This is becoz when the first time i ran
a EJB calling from a JSP, it works, but after the second time, it unable to call
the same EJB again, I double check the console and the database, the same records
does not appears after the second calling, i suspect is caching problem.

Neo, wls does not cache jsp page by default. We do have a custom tag for
it as you can see here
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/jsp/customtags.html#overview.

  • How to disable apple support community emails?

How do I disable Apple Support Commumities Emails? I've changed my preferences more than once, and I am still getting at least 100 emails from Apple Support a day

If I may quote Roger Wilmut1

Just stop using it and remove any data from your profile that you don't want there. You can't actually remove your account or your old posts from the server.
If you have registered to have notification emails sent to you, click 'My Stuff' at top right, select 'Preferences' , then in the next page select the 'Email Notification Preferences' tab and click all the 'No' radio buttons. Then click 'Save'.
If you already have notifications set on some threads you will still get emails from them. Click on your username at the top, then under 'Actions' in the right sidebar, select "'Manage email notifications.' This will show the threads you've set up notifications on in the past. Select those you want to stop and click the 'Remove Selected Notifications' button at bottom.
Best regards and hope this helps.  If I don't have the answer someone else does

  • How to stop Apple Mail reverting to new msgs at bottom?

Have been having this problem ever since installing Mavericks. AppleCare keeps telling me they will tell me how to stop this and have my new messages at the top again, but still haven't told me. Every day I have to re-set this because it reverts back.  Makes no difference WHERE I re-sent this.
Having many other AppleMail problems: For one thing, am not receiving some important emails which do show up in Web Mail.

I have done that countless times. I have also done it countless times at the small place at the top of the emails where it says "Sort By Date."  Neither works at all.  However, yesterday I did the major rebuild of Apple Mail and this morning for the first time when I went there it said "Newest Msg at the Top" so hopefully that was it.
