How to disable automatic redial for missed call

first up i apologise to the community for my inarticulate ways as of last night.
i want to disable this feature.
i call someone. they are busy and i end call.
later on , lets say four hours, i pick up my phone, slide the unlock thing. and the phone starts to recall the busy caller.
i can't handle this...it's a nightmare for it usually happens in the middle of the night cause i work nights...
please if you don't understand what i am asking please ask me and don't just make fun of me.
i'm a huge apple fan, have a mac and am on my secound iphone...but this new upgrade has made it difficult for me to work around...
actually i loathe the new look and style...but hey...i know one day it will get revamped and i might be happy again....just saying.

is there something i can do to work around it

  • How to disable automatic updates for free reader

Nothing I read in these forums is the same as on my computer. I have XP pro and IE 8+ ---the menus never shows what people here tell to do to shut off the update notices. Please help.

That may depend on your installed Reader version; for Reader XI it is under Edit | Preferences | Updater:

  • How to disable automatic login and to see other accounts?

I bought MacBook Pro Retina with Mac OS X 10.8.2 in a shop, where there already was account "kiosk".
I created new account, gave him Administrator priviliges.
In the Preferences / Users & Groups I see kiosk account as "Managed", and my new account as "Admin".
    I set:
System Preferences / Security & Privacy / General / Disable automatic login = Checked.
System Preferences / Users & Groups / Login Options / Automatic login = Off.
But still I have two issues:
    1) After start the laptop automatically logins into kiosk account, while I explicitly switched off this option
    2) Apart from kiosk account, the OS doesn't see any other accounts, for example my new account.
For example, when I changed login shell for kiosk account into /usr/bin/false, I couldn't login at all. The OS said something like, there are no active accounts. So I had to set login shell back to /bin/bash using single-user mode.
    The questions are:
How to disable automatic login into kiosk account?
How to see a choice between kiosk account and my new account in the login dialog?
How to delete kiosk account? Currently the delete option is disabled for kiosk in System Preferences / Users & Groups.
So far after laptop start I automatically login into kiosk, then switch into my new account with entering a password, which is weird.
    Thanks in advance.

It is your only option if you want to get rid of that other user account. It seems the system is Hard Set to boot to that account. How and why I have not Idea but the first thing you should of done was Restoring it to the Original OS, if it was not Mt Lion to begin with, in doing so getting rid of all other accounts and files from that other account.
Time to Bit the Bullet and Erase the drive completely and reinstall the original shipping version of OS X on that system.

  • Sound Notifications for Missed Calls and Text Messages

Aside from the very small green light in the upper right corner (Bionic) - is there a way to get audio notifications for missed calls and texts?  I'm missing a lot of calls and texts because I'm not checking the screen constantly.  Thanks!

I am not sure about the Bionic phone specifically but I am pretty sure there should be notification sounds.
My phone, the Droid 2 global has ringtons, and notification sounds separately.
Have you tried looking in the sound settings?

  • How to disable automatic opening of previously viewed items in Preview or TextEdit in Max OSX Lion?

How to disable automatic opening of previously viewed items in Preview or TextEdit in Max OSX Lion? It was no such issue on Snow Leopard OS.
    Please help

This is a new behavior introduced in Lion.  You can disable it completely via System Preferences, General: uncheck the "Restore windows..." box toward the bottom.
You can disable this behavior on a case by case basis by either closing all windows before quitting, or holding the option key while quitting, or holding the shift key while launching from dock.

Personal rant, why do people write the entire problem in topic line
It's not possible with Windows Phone 8.  What's the point, a call is coming in and the phone allows you to answer.

I don't think there is a way for Edge Code. I'm not sure about Reflow.
Why don't you just upgrade? That will stop the notifications.

  • CUCM sending e-mails for missed calls..

We are waiting for a solution to get missed calls to exchange/outlook - like other vendors ( Siemens or MS-OCS with the ESTOS GW ) who can deliver such urgent needed features. Or is there a solution from Cisco already in place ?

    Hi Patrick,
    thanks for your response.
We have already OCS with RCC in place. But its like with CUPC. We get only information for missed calls on Computers when the client is running. This is true for MOC and for CUPC. The problem is for users who are on tour and want to look into a computer system for missed calls. This can be Outlook or another system which they can access from remote. This could be the also the webinterface of the Ciscop IP Phone. But there is no authentication nor Call history implemented.

  • LED For Missed calls

Hi, my LED is not blinking for missed calls since a couple of days. Before it was working well. It used to blink for any missed call for 15 mins. And for the rest LED is working well.
    Help me..

    Try this -
When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which resolves minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

  • How to disable "slide to call" feature for missed calls from lock screen on ios7

I realized that when the iphone (running iOS7) is locked, the“Slide to Call” allows anyone to make an outgoing call to the missed calls from a locked phone (with passcode).
it is nice feature for people who don't care about locking their phone.but I believe there should be an option to disable the “slide to call” or at least require password before allowing the outgoing call to go through.
This is a serious security issue.it should be user configurable.
Hope Apple will take it seriously and release a update for the same.

You can provide feedback to Apple here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Option to disable the "slide to call" feature for missed calls from lock screen

I realized that when the iphone (running iOS5) is locked, the“Slide to Call” allows anyone to make an outgoing call to the missed calls from a locked phone (with passcode). This may allow malicious and unwanted calls to be made from a locked phone by anyone having access to the phone and defeats the purpose of having the phone locked by a passcode.
Don't get me wrong, it is nice feature for people who don't care about locking their phone, but I believe there should be an option to disable the “slide to call” or at least require password before allowing the outgoing call to go through.
At this point the only option that I see is to disable the phone related notifications from lock screen, which prevents all phone related notifications to be displayed on lock screen (missed or voicemail). This is not a desired solution.....
This is the first time in the history of iOSes, that a user can make outgoing calls from a locked phone with a passcode. Even the voice commands (for dialling a number) have option to be disabled on locked screen.
I was wondering if anybody else feels the same way about this? or have a solution?

I share the same feeling with you about this issue.
Actually I was very surprised when I discovered that!
In addition to this, when you actually slide a missed call, it calls the person and when you end the call, the notification of the missed call is still present! So that person can be called again and again and again.
This is a serious issue that Apple has overlooked!
    Please secure the iOS 5.
    Thanks.

  • How to edit number times Reminded for missed calls/test ios 5.0.1?

Hi, I have the iphone4 on i.o.s 5.0.1 (jailbroken with sn0wbreeze) and everytime i get a missed call/text, I am reminded within 1 minute or so. How do I change the number of times I am reminded/or the interval in which I am reminded ?
I've searched but only see people talking about MissReminder for the i.o.s 4 firmware. I remember I was able to do so in the i.o.s 4.3.5 (what I bought my phone with) before, but cannot finding anything in settings to do so this time. Am I just missing something ? or does it have to do with how I jailbroke it ?

On an unjailbroken iPhone you adjust the missed reminder for texts in Settings>Notifications>Messages.

  • How do I get rid of the number next to the "phone" icon for missed calls on iPhone 4?

I realize that this number is telling me the number of missed calls and/or voicemails.   However, the number remains on the main screen after I have looked at the missed call (opened "phone" and then "missed").  I can only figure out how to get it to go away when I call the number of the missed call from the missed call menu, which I don't always want to do.  How can I make the number go away without calling the number for the call that I missed? It's probably a silly question but thanks for helping!

I have same issue I dont want to call it and why should I have to go to Voicemail when there is no voicemail?? My screen did go dark and when I relit it it went away...very weird???
