I have a question about charging funtion of my "HP Compaq Business Notebook, 6720s":
How can I disable "battery charging" function in windows 7? Is there any "advanced setting change" or "software" that while battery is in its slot, stop my notebook from charging its battery?

After some days trying many methods, yet I haven't find a solution to my problem. Then I ask is there any one
knows which software should I download for HP Compaq Power Management (similar to the software that Huffer
mentioned, but that was for Lenovo) or which registery or BIOS change should I do , so that I can manually disable
charging function of laptop, or at least put a starting level that up to that level, laptop won't start
autolatically to charge battery, because in this manner once that my Battery reaches to below 100%, instantly begin
to be charged & it would decrease its life time. Please consider that because of my power cable is to some damaged, sometimes it suddenly disrubt & cause my laptop abruptly shut down, then necessarily the battery would always be connected tob prevent this suddent effect.
If any one could help me, I would appreciate him a lot.

-Your phone has 50% battery left, you charge it
-after using again, you're back with 50 and charging it till full once again makes it 1 charge cycle

How to disable auto charge via usb?

So the question is as that: is it possible to disable auto charge when plugging iphone to the macbook in order to save the battery of macbook.
Tried everything but couldn't find any solution. Moreover it seems like I was questioned something like "permit to charge iPhone via usb?" when I first plugged it to the Mac, but I'm not sure

I can understand your concern, however Document Cloud is a core part of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Adobe Acrobat DC so it cannot be disabled. If you don't want to use this feature then you don't need to sign in.
If you really feel that this does not suites your requirement then you can uninstall it & re-install Adobe Reader 11 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions.

On my previous Thinkpads I could change the battery charging settings in Lenovo Power Manager. (things like minimum charging threshold, etc). Now in Windows 8 Lenovo seems to have abandonded the Power Manager, but there is still a power manager driver. Is it still possable to change the battery charging settings?

How to disable battery protection mode on Linux Mint

I did a frest install of Linux Mint on my newly bought U310, everything went well, except -
I turned on battery protection mode in windows so that the battery never charges above 60% to preserve battery life span,
But now on linux mint, the charge on the battery still caps at 60% and there are no options to disable it.
There doesn't seem to be lenovo drivers for linux either.
Any help is appreciated.

How to disable RECYCLE BIN functionality on Oracle 10g R2

I installed Oracle 10g R2 in windows 2003, then log in SQL * plus with sys as sysdba, try to use the following command to disable the RECYCLE BIN functionality which is new feature in Oracle 10g R2.

I got the error: illegal option for ALTER SYSTEM
What do I miss? any comments are appreciative.

How is the battery charging of your new aluminium Macbook

I wanted to know what exactly is your experience about the new Macbook 2.0 aluminium charging like? Meaning, I read in forums, you tube comments that the macbook takes hours to charge in some case 5 hours. IS this true? Or are these one of cases of bad batteries?

But when you do, could you explain what you mean when you say your MacBook was "off at the plug"? Does that mean the green LED was not lit where your MagSafe plugs in to the computer, or that upi unplugged your computer overnight? If your computer was sleeping while unplugged, it would not be surprising for it to consume some battery power.

To confirm whether this issue is mainly related to the environment of your OS, I would recommend you change that registry key manually then shut down your pc and power it on again, if it has the same issue, then I suggest you consider posting this issue
