How to disable "blue underlined links" (which I did not code) in FireFox?
How to disabl "blue underlined links" (which I did not code) in FireFox? Here's an example website that has no underlined links coded in the simple html source: www.setv.org. After I updated FireFox to a more recent FireFox version, blue underlines appear in websites. I know that there is a way to disable that annoying 'feature'.

Any chance there being a way to easily enable/disable animations? I'd sure like to selectively rid the screen of those noisy flashy-blinky advertisements.
And how about storing java-script enable/disable flags with bookmarks? That way I would not be forced to click tools->options->content->enable-javascript each time I wanna turn it on or off? When I surf using database engines I disable j-script (phkem) and when I need to get something from nextegg I turn it on. What about being able to selectively disable/enable (also stored in bookmarks) embedded google-ads/beacons flags? I hate being tracked, now I'm getting ads on my cable TV set based on where I've been lurking on the InterNet. Big-phkn-brother's on us, and its the greedy phkn corporations who don't give sht about us except for what's in our wallets. InterNet used to be cool, now its the CIA, the FBI, KGB, policia, FartBuuk, Macro$haft, AT&T, Giggle (at least they give something of value back), and all the other facist big-brothers. Mozilla was born fighting that schema. There's so much more that FireFox could do to mitigate InterNet facism.
Anyway, thanks again for your time and I appologize for the ranting.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
However, you will likely run again the Activation Lock

Go to settings on your iPad select store and look to the bottom of the screen - ensure it is your apple id shown as being logged on - if it not yours click on the apple id choose log out and then enter your details and password.
If someone has entered their apple id on your ipad and automatic downloads are enabled you can be receiving apps they have purchased.

I bought a mac 2 days ago and transferred some files on there using migration assist which I did not want to. How do I restore my imac to factory settings so I can start again?
Look in /Users folder. You can go to System Preferences > Users & Groups, open the lock and "-" delete the account it created.
This is a problem whenever you use migration assistant after the initial install. The proper way to run Migration Assistant is in Setup Assistant when you first boot your Mac. I don't know why Apple isn't clearer about this issue. -

They have just appeared and in most cases in multiples for the same date etc
Thanksgiving, multiples for Christmas, NewYear eve etc etc Queens birthday. Also if I select the date, no option comes up for me to delete.
Unusual to me , I am not real au faux with the IPad but do not believe I have done anything different to when I enter the dates which I want to add.

I have photos on my camera stream which I did not take
TToday, photos have appeared on both my iPhone and iPad which I did not take. Nobody has had access to either but me and I didn't take them. I find it very worrying and would like to know how it happened. I've tried to contact apple but because I don't know my Apple ID I can't actually get to talk to anyone. Please can somebody help me?
Call the Apple account security team for your country: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security. You will need you serial number to set up the call, which you can find on your device in Setting>General>About. You can see your iCloud ID by going to Settings>iCloud and looking at the email address listed at the top to the right of "Account".

Whenever I run Firfox 4.0, my computer fan runs continuously. I have disabled all Firefox plug-ins, but I get the same result. This did not happen with Firefox 3.x, and it doesn't happen with IE 8.0. Any ideas?
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -

You've checked the purchase history on your account : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases
If you didn't make the purchases, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and made them, then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Sometimes and increasingly more often, links or buttons do not respond in Firefox, no new tab opens just nothing happens. But in Internet Explorer, the links or buttons respond normally and everything runs smoothly.

Finding which recipients did not dequeue a message
Hello
Is there a way with a multiconsumer queue to fid out which recipients in the list have not dequeued the message?
The scenario is this. We have a number of daemon type processes that sit on queues, processing whatever messages they need to. We need a way of finding out if each daemon is alive and kicking.
The way I thought of doing this was to set up a multiconsumer queue and enqueue a message with the list of recipients being each daemon process, and set an expiration time of say 10 seconds. The daemons listen to their normal work queue and the "are you alive" queue, and just dequeue any messages on the latter. If the message is not dequeued by all recipients within the time limit, the message will be moved to the exception queue. The process that sent out the request can then just listen on the exception queue for a mesage comming back, but it needs to know which recipient did not dequeue it's message.
So is it possible to find out which recipients did not dequeue the message just from the exceptions queue and supporting meta data tables? Does this sound like a reasonable approach?
DavidYes, you can, use the queue table view. It has the consumer name column. View is automatically created [by default] when the table is created.
All the queue table view name start with AQ$<Queue table name>.
For example :- if a queue table name is customer_qt then the view name would be aq$customer_qt.
