How to disable data roaming with Nokia 97mini

Hello one and all,
Is it possible to disable data roaming on Nokia 97mini? I would like to be able to go abroad and have it automatically stop syncing my email etc... but still be able to use it for SMS and voice calls. I know that the iPhone has the ability to turn off data transfers when roaming on another network.
Can other so called 'smart' phones such as the Nokia 97 mini also do this?
I have searched in vain in the supplied user manual.
All help greatly appreciated.

I don't believe there's such an option, sorry. S60's got plenty of options for managing call roaming but as far as I know data roaming hasn't come up.
Help I'm trapped in a sig factory.

Disabling Data roaming on a Z30

Hi All,
I have managed to find instructions online for the Z10 but not the Z30.
We are a mobile sales provider and I have a customer asking for instructions to disable data roaming on the device. I was wondering if it was the same as the Z10.
The instructions I have put together are as follows:
1) Go into the settings menu --> Network Connections --> Mobile Network --> turn off under Data services while roaming.
Can anyone confirm if its the same for the Z30?

Disable data roaming

How can I prevent data roaming when I go to a foreign country when I still want to keep the call roaming active?
When I search a new network in a foreign country, I find the nokia messaging look activate that cause me some data roaming charge. Any way I can disable all data connection except thru the wifi device I want.

I'm using 5800 under roaming for about five months now, I have never encountered a data roaming charge, when ever my phone tries to connect to a data network I get a warning about data roaming and I can simply prevent the connection by appropriate selection of the prompt message.
Anyways preventing the data roaming is not very hard in any symbian device, it's not very straight forward as other platforms though. You can always alter the destination setting (APN, by astound a junk piece at the end) so that your phone will not connect to data network (either on roaming our not).
Also new symbian has the one touch setting needed. My N8 allows me to select between data connection in home network, always and wifi only.

My new Ipad2 got connected to my home Wi-Fi and to the network and for 2 days everything was alright. Then I encounteed a problem. Though my Ipad2 was getting connected to Wi-Fi, could'nt access network. How to enable Data Roaming?.

Sounds like the WiFi is connected, but cannot reach the Internet and is trying to use 3G, but you are in a roaming area so you get the dialog.
The first thing to try is turning the Wi-Fi off and back on again in Settings. Or simply turn the iPad off and back on again. If that doesn't work double-check that other devices are able to use the same WiFi network successfuly, or try the iPad on another WiFi network.

You can do it this way
From the home screen, tap the Menu key.
Tap Settings.
Tap Data usage.
To enable mobile data, tap to check Mobile data.
To disable mobile data, tap to uncheck Mobile data.
You've now enabled or disabled mobile data.
Or you can use your pull down menu at the top of the phone and scroll over to data icon and deselect it.

Failing data roaming with iPhone

I have a iPhone bought in Belgium (bought legally unbundled from operator) and I am using it now in China with a China Mobile SIM card. I have a normal voice & data package which allows me to access my mails and the internet using my Nokia phone.
When using the iPhone, it constantly claims: "Could not activate cellular data network. You are not subscribed to a cellular data service" which is not true as I can easily access with the same SIM card the data services with another phone.
Any suggestions?

what do you mean by connection settings?
there is a window called "Cellular Data Network" with APN, Username and Password but I do not have such info and it is not needed for any other phone I have been using in the last many years to get data.

Disabling data roaming on passport

Since i bought the Passport 4 months ago , and the device ,whatever i do : keep on data roaming !! i tried every thing : -click off the data roaming , click off the data service , but still that triangle is there and getting charged for data roaming !! the only way it works is that if i turn off the phone service ! other wise no way ...... is it a defected divice or what ?

How to delete data-records with BI-planning in BEx?

Hi folks, masters and gurus,
we just upgraded some of our functions from BPS to BI-Planning.
Only one thing I could not resolve up to now:
In BPS (web based) it was easily possible to delete data-records by choosing a radio-button beside the data-entry-field and click the "delete"-button (a red "-") on the top.
When I tried to find a delete-function in RSPLAN now I only found one that deletes the data, but not the record itself.
Does anyone know how to build a function that I can use to delete data-records?

Oh yes ... it´s not necessary as it is easily possible to supress lines with only 0 in it with
query-properties / rows/coloumns / supressing Zero / activ ...

How to disable a Checkbox with condition.

Dear experts,
I am doing a module pool program. My questyion is, the program has a checkbox. After certain process, let's say if it met a IF condition. This checkbox needs to be disabled. No matter the checkbox previously is ticked or without tick. The checkbox need to be completely disabled.
Please advice how should I do it. As I have search in the forum for some time, but I could not get my answer.

1. U r using lower case for check boxes screen name
2. Screen-invisible is used to make data of the parameter invisible while typing eg: PASS WORD.

How to create date variable with interval in VC

Hi Everyone,
I have 2 questions:
My scenario:
I am using a BI 7.0 Query which is having some variables. I want the same variables to be displayed in the VC output.
Question 1:
I know that how to bring these variables in variable screen, but when we use these queries, dont the variables in the variable screen automatically ask for the input?
I tried it but it is not happening automatically.
There are 2 inputs for queries with variables, i tried using both, but it is not working properly. Can any one tell me is it possible.
Question 2:
In this variable screen, I have to select date with interval format. but i dont know how to use variable with interval. ( Date with interval format).
I hope some one might have come across the same scenario .. If so please share with the solution me ..

Ok .. Let me be very clear .. I think I confused you.
As you mentioned I have done every thing in query level.
I have created a query with a variable which is an interval based variable(date).
When I execute the query it asks for the dates to display the inbetween data.
I gave the inputs and the data is displayed properly.( So far what I have mentioned is all in Query designer).
In VC, I have used this query and it is having two ports named INPUT and VARIABLE. I know that I need to give input in variables. I selected the calander month variable from the list to display. After this I deployed the model. In the output screen the table is displayed and 1 text box is also available for the date input. I know that here I have to give date with same format as in Query designer output. I tried so many ways to give input by even selecting some other options like date picker but it is giving the following error - Variable expects interval values; enter an interval.
The date format which I m using in Query is "MM.YYYY" and I m using the same format in VC too.
Now I hope that u can understand better.
I want to know is there any other way through which this can enter interval value or what mistake I m doing in the above explained scenario?
