How to disable datamodel name of bipublisher report

Hi all,
I have a bipublisher report which i want to put it in dashborad. After putting the report i am getting extra border line and name the data model. How can i remove it from dashboard ?

some ideas :
- give the Reports Server name as a Forms parameter
- create an environment (registry on Windows) variable containing the Reports Server Name and read it with TOOL_ENV.GETVAR

I created on Interactive report on emp table I have created edit link on empno using Icon5 image.
Report Attributes>Column Attributes>Column Link.
I can Hide the Icon5 using following script but I need to disable only. I did not get any disable() method in Jquery.

How to disable refresh button in webi reports in BOXI3.1SP2-Java SDK

Hi all,
We have integrated Java with BO, here end users will give parameters through java screen. After submitting all the parameters webi reports will opens in separate window.
Here requirement is end users should pass the parameters from java screen and they should able to save the report in to excel/PDF.
Refresh/edit buttons should disable/hide in the webi report.
below is the sample url we are using in the java.

we tried with using &buttonrefresh=hide in above URL.

why do not set this over the authorization scheme? Just deny your users the right to refresh/edit the report.

How to get Variable name in output (Report Writer/Painter)

Hello Experts,
We have maintained one Repot by using Report Writer, this is the report for Cost center (periodic report), input fields are Fiscal year, Period and Cost Center. In out put system will display the selected cost center balances for individual cost element.
Output: Excel format: in first sheet it will display balance of the total cost centers selected and from second sheet it will display individual cost center balances.
My requirement is in the output system is displaying sheet name as CC1,CC2,CC3.......CC50, but my user want to display this as Cost Center 1, Cost Center 2, Cost Center 3...... like this. we have maintained variable name as Cost center 1, cost center 2....., but why system is displaying as CC1,CC2,.... .
Please help me how to get the full description as sheet name in excel.

How to disable (grey out) button in report

Hi,
Can any one; pls help how to disable button (grey out) on some specific condition.
I have a report of 2 pages; In first page it displays few records; once click on specific record control goes to next page 2; And here i have button (template based button); Once click on this it perform pl/sql procedure.
My requirement is: The button should disable (should not hide) when moves from page 1 to page 2 based on some specific returned values in page 2.
I have return code in button conditions (Condition type = PL/SQL Function Body Returning a Boolean)
Sample code is:
if :value1 = 'disable_test_value' then
return false;
else
return true;
end if;
The above code is working fine with button completely disappers if the :value1 = 'disable_test_value' (which is suppossed to be as we gave return false).
My question is: Is there any way; we can still show button (but button disabled or grey out; so that no action can perform on this button )? And also show some text message in other text field when button is disabled?

I have an example: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=27168:1 using theme #2. You need to use a theme that has a "grayed-out" alternate button template.
To accomplish this I:
1) Created one item named P1_VALUE1 to contain the condition as to whether the button should be enable ("enable_test_value") or disabled ("disable_test_value").

How to disable server name indication

I want to turn off SNI (server name indication) but I didn't find the right option. I could only disable TLS and use SSL to achieve this. I set the value of "security.tls.version.max" to 0.
I am looking for a way to have TLS while disabling server name indication extension.

Under Tools → Options → Advanced → Encryption, make sure you have "Use TLS 1.0" enabled. This is off by default in older versions of Firefox.

How to use "machine name" in new report vi?

I have a computer on a network that has Microsoft excel installed. On another computer I have an application that will take an excel file and stuff a bunch of data from a database into specific cells to generate a report. The vi works fine on my computer (where excel is loaded locally) but when I try and run the VI and access excel remotely I get an error message as follows:
Error -41106 occurred at NI_Excel.lvclass:new report subVI.vi -> NI_report.lvclass:New Report.vi -> printTestSheet.vi

Report Generation Toolkit: Microsoft Word or Excel did not open. Make sure Microsoft Word or Excel is installed.

Hi Gerry,
One reason that you may get this error is if Distributed COM wasn't enabled on the remote machine. See this Microsoft KB for how to check or enable that functionality.
If that doesn't help; let me know, and I'll try to setup a similar test case on my end. The process isn't well documented, and I haven't seen any existing examples, so I'd like to see what it takes to get it running.

How to disable the Unified CCX Historical Reports Scheduler

Hello All,
I'm trying to see if there is a way to disable the Historical Reports Scheduler from Auto-Starting when I boot up the PC (*i.e. My user PC).
The PC is running Windows XP, and the CCX Historical Reports App is running version 8.0(2.13).
I checked for it in services.msc program and also in each user's "StartUp" folder but cannot find where it is getting started from. Anyone know how I can prevent this from Auto-Starting? I don't actually have any reports scheduled and I really on use the Unified CCX Historical Reports app once in a while...
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated!

How to suppress column names in SQL-report

What I want is just the data, without any column names.

This example doesn't work. There is still LDATE above column. Any idea?

I want to use table name dynamically means at runtime i want to pass table name.
I can do this by lexical parameter in main query.
But my problem is that i want to crate new format trigger or new function that use 1 cursor in which that lexical parameter : table name is used.
so how to do that?
i can not use that lexical parameter it is giving error.
please help me how to do that.

Call a database function which you pass the lexical parameter. Then in the database function you use dynamic sql or the execute immediate option to build the SQL string.
Return the information from this function to build your business logic on in your format trigger.

You can do this
You can set the Authorization for execution and Assign it to user whom you dont want that option. so that they cannot execute the Program.

How to get Query Names in webi Report ??

I'm trying to pull data from different data sources like accdb,Oracle,DB2,MDB,xls files . I pulled the data successfully by merging all queries.But I was stuck with getting the query names in report ...can some one guide me in this ?? I used data provider () but getting 1 query name along with my universe name.

Are you interested to know the data sources of the queries or just the query names?
To know the Query Name, you can use DataProvider( ) function; however, in case you wish to know the data source, you can use Connection( ) function.

How to Disable a Checkbox on a report condionally.

I have a report and I created a checkbox on this report.
I have a button which is associated to the checkbox.
When I check a record an click the button I delete that record.
This all works great.
I want to disable the checkbox based on a condition.
Lets say I cannot delete DEPT rows 20 at all. In this case I want to disable the checkbox and do not allow use to delete these records.
Can anyone help me on this.

In your SQL query, you may be able to use a CASE WHEN statement to accomplish this.
SELECT .. CASE WHEN dept_id = 20 THEN <dont display checkbox or show disabled> ELSE <show checkbox> END
