How to disable fade when mute/unmite "Line In" on Audigy

Hello !
My works require to listen many audio sources - that is way I get Audigy 2. When I mute (or unmite) Line In (and some other inputs) Audigy 2 make smoothness increase/decrease audio level. It is fine for many users, but I do NOT want it. I need imediately actions.
How can I remove this ? Maybe registry setting ? Anyhelp will be OK.

I have same problem. Sound card automatically makes fade-in during recording from line-in. So I can't record my guitar. Each recorded sound has increased volume in the beginning. How to disable such feature? Does anybody know?

I used to be able to disable the trackpad when i was using a mouse by going into trackpad system prefs. With the new version of trackpad, I can't seem to do that. Is there a way to disable the trackpad when my mouse is attached?

I would like to be able to disable the trackpad too, as I was before 10.5.06. At present I get an otherwise useful instruction video when I hit 'trackpad' in 'system preferences'. Since I have seen the video before and know by now what the trackpad can do, I really miss the earlier available option of disabling it when I don't need it.

How to disable alarms when iCal is off

Hi all,
I might be missing something here, but I believe there used to be two settings to turn off alarms in 10.4 and 10.5:
1) disable all alarms
2) disable alarms when iCal is off
Did option 2) disappear in 10.6? I am really missing this feature.

I too would like to know a way around this problem. In the prior version of iCal, you could enable alarms only when iCal was running. I routinely sync three computers, sometimes hours to days apart. So unless I remember to turn alarms off prior to shutting down the machines, the alarms are not properly updated upon syncing when an idle machine is turned back on.
Hope this makes sense. Either way, it would have been better if Apple had not gotten rid of this feature in the new iCal.

MEX-BT3100P How to disable beeps when switching to Bluetooth

I use my iPhone for navigation, and it switches to Bluetooth automatically to speak the directions. The MEX-BT3100P beeps twice and takes too long when switching to Bluetooth as the source. So I miss the first few words from the navigation directions.
How can I disable the beeps? And/or speed up the switching to Bluetooth?

Sony® head units produce a beep sound when buttons are pressed. To mute the beep sounds, simultaneously press the SEL or SOUND button and the 6 button on the head unit at the same time. Pressing these buttons a second time will restore the beep function.
NOTES:
The beep function can not be activated when connected to an external amplifier.
This procedure encompasses most Sony® head units. However, consult the instruction manual for specific information if necessary.

How to disable alerts when OMS is down for maintenance?

Hi,
When we bring down OEM 12c application for maintenance for a period of time, lots of alert e-mails got sent out due to the fact the OMS is down. These alert e-mails contains the following info in the e-mail subject line:
EM Event: <Severity>:<target-name> - Agent is unable to communicate with the OMS. (REASON = Agent is Unreachable (REASON : Agent to OMS Communication is brokenFailure connecting to https://oem12-stg:4900/empbs/upload
These alert e-mails are not necessary and annoying. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable these alert e-mails temporarily during the OMS maintenance window?

I have an application with 5 buttons that each play or pause
different movieclips. How can I prevent other buttons from playing
different movieclips when a movieclip is already playing.

How to measure frequency when no static line

Hi. I think to directly measure frequency using DAXmx function my input signal should be connceted to DAQ PFI Lines but in my application the clock frequency is outputted on P0.0 line . Is there any way to directky measure frequency uding DAQmx function or I should do it manually?

What frequency do you want to measure?
What is the relation to outputting your own "clock frequency" on some DO pin?
Which hardware do you use?
Why do you need to measure a signal frequency when you know that frequency as you output that signal?
How do you measure frequencies "manually"?

How to disable tagging when reading a doc in Acrobat 9 Pro?

I recently installed Acrobat 9 Pro, and it insists on enabling accessibility features when I don't need them.
Whenever I open an untagged document for reading it starts tagging, which can be very slow for large documents.
I found the option "Confirm before tagging documents", but this is annoying -- how do I get it to neither tag nor ask?

No, you don't need to use LiveCycle Designer. To create a form, first create the PDF and open it in Acrobat. You can then add the form fields by selecting: Forms > Add or Edit Fields
It will ask you if you want Acrobat to attempt to create fields automatically where it thinks they should be. The form will then be opened in form editing mode and you can add/edit the fields.

How to disable touchpad when usb mouse in on HP ENVY dv7-7259nr Notebook PC‏ using Windows 7

I would like to have my touch pad disabled when using my USB mouse or otherwise be able to manually disable it. It is a pain to use when typing with the touch pad enabled but I would like to use the touch pad on occasions such as when I am traveling or if my mouse goes out. Not to mention, I would need to re-enable the touh pad if for some reason I have no mouse (keyboard shortcut?)

You should consider returning you notebook to the Windows 8 OS. There are many new features that it has that Windows 7 never did. Download use the free open source software called classic shell to give yourself a start button in Windows 8 that even has more features than Windows 7 start buton does. Once you use Windows 8 for a while you will enjoy it, especially the refresh feature and lower memory use.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Windows 7 drivers.

How to disable UltrNav when external mouse connected

Is there a way to have the UltraNav turned off automatically when an external mouse is connected?
When typing it’s too easy to inadvertently touch the UltrNav and if you’re not watching find you’re typing in a different location, so we like to turn it off. But when I need to quickly access the laptop I would like to use the UltrNav and not have to find and connect the mouse.
I can turn it off/on through the control panel/system tray, however it’s near impossible to turn on without a mouse.
Our users have gotten use to this feature in other laptop brands but according to the Lenovo help desk it’s not available.

Unfortunately, I don't think this option is currently supported on Lenovo Think brands. I did some research on the topic and attempted to change the settings of UltraNav, but was not able to find this function. If you find that UltraNav is too easy to inadvertantly tap while typing, then I would recommend changing the sensitvity to a lower setting to reduce future misclicks and random movements.

Just figured this out myself. Don't use an ABPersonViewController; instead, use an ABUnknownPersonViewController.

How to disable passcode when screen is broke

Phone fell out of my pocket on a roller coaster, it stayed in one piece and will turn on but with no screen activity. To back up my phone itunes tells me it requires me to input the password. I created the password via find my iphone. Is there a way to turn off the iphone password through icloud or a different method? I am in need of recovering what I have on this phone.

The phone is in relatively good shape, oddly enough I left the phone plugged into my Mac and it started syncing after telling me it couldn't for the longest time. So now i have all my photos it has synced, but still cannot manually back it up due to the passcode, and luckily my last back up was just in august.
Unrealated to the unlocking part, but if the phone disconnected from the portion at the top of the phone that runs the screen, any idea if this would be a viable fix? Not looking to use the thing anymore, just want to make sure I have the data.

i am trying to make text fields appar and dissapaer when check boxes are ticked. but only alow one check box to be active at one time.
I am making a simple form in Acrobat pro 9,
I have two check boxes Checkbox1 & Checkbox2.
I have two text fields Textfield1 & Textfield2
i have added actions to checkbox1 & checkbox2 to 'hide or show' the text fields.
Action --> on focus (checkbox1) show/hide field (textfield1) is hide
Action --> on focus (checkbox1) show/hide field (textfield2) is show
oposite
Action --> on focus (checkbox2) show/hide field (textfield2) is hide
Action --> on focus (checkbox2) show/hide field (textfield1) is show
problem 1 - how to disable checkbox1 when checkbox 2 is ticked.
or disable checkbox2 when checkbox1 is ticked.
my other problem is that this action has the same effect for ticking or unticking the checkbox.

First, I would experiment with just check boxes and learn their properties and how they can interact.
Have you tried using the same name for 2 check boxes and assign a different "export value" to each check box.
Have you looked at the values a check box or boxes have when checked or un-checked?
Have you looked at how the various actions for a field work?
