How to disable ferry on maps?

Hello,
I am using maps on ios 6. I don't want to use ferry but for example if i try to go to "Yalova" from "Istanbul", it shows me 3 ways that all of them using ferry. I don't want neither. So what should I do to get the navigation without using ferry?
PS: One of my friends said that it shows only one way that doesn't use ferry on his phone, but we still don't know what causes that difference.

If i choose walking, it shows me 1 way that uses ferry. If I choose driving, it shows me 3 ways all of them using ferry. If I choose bus, no results.
I want to go by driving, without using ferry. Simple as that.

Landmarks display in Maps, how to disable ?

I am using Landmark feature to plan routes, and i managed to import routes from google earth as landmarks in my E71.
Three question remaining:
1. How to disable the display of the landmarks ? Once i have choosen to display a category, i do not know how to disable it again (without deleting the landmarks). Since loading of maps takes more time with landmarks active i would like to switch them off again.
2. Some landmarks are not loaded (usually around 20% of the landmarks create errormessage and do not have valid coordinates). Can not find the reason... anybody else having this problem?
3. Does anybody know how to create own symbols? The blue pin-point is to big... would like to have simply a very small point on the map.

I'm not sure if you can remove your personally saved favourites from the display. There is a choice in Maps 2.0 to enable and disable showing of certain types of "Point Of Interest":
Options>Tools>Settings>Map>Categories
But this does not include favourites, and there is no similar option under the Favourites section.

ATT won't unless they are asked to do so by the police and unless a major crime is involved, the police won't request this just for a stolen phone.
If the iPhone is running iOS 6, sounds like you didn't have the passcode lock feature enabled. Nothing prevents someone from powering the iPhone off and the same for removing the SIM card.

How do I remove BlackBerry Maps from the OS?

I have a Z10 running 10.3 it's a great update and so far love the BB Assistant. There is one big sore point for me and that is your decision to deeply integrate BB Maps with 10.3 and Assistant.
Appologize upfront but I have to ask....Why would you integrate a lagging-edge Mapping App with an otherwise leading-edge OS in 10.3?
So long story short...BB Maps doesn't work for me. (No Walking, Mass No Transit, No Satellite or Street View equivilants.) The bottom line is that enterprise users need more than what BB Maps offers today and for the foresable future. Just supremely frustrated about this situation and feel bad because 10.3 is great.
So the question is How do I remove BB Maps from 10.3 or completely disable it. I just want it gone at this point. Please help....I'm so totally frustrated that you can't easily remove it!

Good news...Just to let you know I did find a way to remove BB Maps.
Even through it's a core app by reverting to a previous version of BB Maps I was able to delete it from the OS. iBest part is there was no impact to the OS and everything else works as normal. Please Please ...if your going to make BB Maps a core app please make sure its a world class app and it works for all Enterprise users. (Not just for drivers)
I can truely say my BB OS 10 experence is much better now without BB Maps. If BB isn't going to invest in Maps then please don't make it a core app and tightly integrated into the OS. I think at this point BB would be better off outsouring BB Maps to one of the leading Map providers such as Nokia, Mapquest, Bing/MS or even dare I say Google Maps. I think the BB community would be much happier with any of the first three.

Ctrl+shift+U - Unicode input, how to disable?

Anyone knows how to disable ctrl+shift+u unicode input?
Whenever I press ctrl+shift+u, I get an underlined "u" and can enter some unicode number. However, I don't need it, and because of this, for example in qt creator the predefined "ctrl+shift+u" keyboard shortcut doesn't work.
I have no idea where this mapping comes from (obviously not qt, since ctrl+shift+u is mapped to an important shortcut), but maybe gnome or the xserver?

I just updated from Ubuntu 13.10 to Ubuntu 14.04 and I found that I have exactly this same problem, which is being caused by ibus (my up to date Arch system doesn't seem to have the problem). You can see if ibus is running on your system via:

I'm running XFCE and there is now a "Language Support" icon in the "Settings" panel (select "Settings Manager" on the main menu.) The Language Support app contains a "Keyboard input method system" selection on Language tab. I changed it from 'IBus' to 'None' and now Ctrl+Shift+u works again. (This is a quick and dirty solution that works for me because I'm only using English and never have to type special characters.)

You must verify if the database has changed so you can't disable the message. CR must match what the DB is using or the reports will fail or return wrong data.
It's odd that even after verifying the DB in the designer your app still needs it to be verify the report. You did save the report correct?

Is the report creation engine and you should be using craxdrt.dll. You need to be licnesed to use craxddrt.dll and this may cause problems for you later when deploying.

The mapping is not a switch you can turn on or off but it is Event driven. You need to add code to the viewer section to capture the event if the mapping event fires. Then you can set it to the way you want to use it.
I suggest you purchase a case on line and get to the Report Design team to figure out why when you verify the report your app still thinks it needs to be verified. Something going on in your report that the forum makes it difficult to debug the problem. You can't attach files to forums.

I'm using Oracle9i App Server R2.
I would like to learn how to disable or rename Oracle Report Server's servlet command?
This is to avoid user from accessing http://myserver/reports/rwservlet/showmap to view the key map file content.
Please advise.

Here some step to accomplish it,
1. stop mid-tier
$ORACLE_HOME\opmn\bin\opmnctl stopall
2. stop em website
$ORACLE_HOME\bin\emctl stop iasconsole
3. rename $ORACLE_HOME\reports\conf\rep_<old_report_server_name>.conf to something else or delete it
4. rename $ORACLE_HOME\reports\server\rep_<old_report_server_name>.dat to something else or delete it
5. edit $ORACLE_HOME\reports\conf\rwservlet.properties file then change the SERVER parameter to new report server name(remember this new name has to be a unique name)
6. create a backup copy of the $ORACLE_HOME\sysman\emd\targets.xml file
7. open $ORACLE_HOME\sysman\emd\targets.xml, find old report server name and then replace it to new report server name
8. save new targets.xml file
9. open $ORACLE_HOME\opmn\conf\opmn.xml, old report server name and then replace it to new report server name
10. start em website
$ORACLE_HOME\bin\emctl start iasconsole
11. start mid-tier
$ORACLE_HOME\opmn\bin\opmnctl startall

UCM - WEBDAV - How to Disable the New Folder option in the action popup

I am trying to implement WebDav functionality. I don't want the users to create folders in the folder mapped to a security group. As long as the user has privilege to contribute to the security group he/she can checkin documents but they should not be able to create folder under it. I did not find documentation as to how to disable the new folder option in the context action menu that pops up on mouse right click. Is there any way we can do that?

This is the boilerplate text often used in connection to networks in general. It is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe:

I just got an E71x from ATT and installed Nokia Maps on it with downloaded maps so as to not use any data over the air. I learned somewhere that agps also uses data (even tough small amounts). I was wondering if anybody knows how to disable the agps functionality on the E71x.

Well... When I say scripting its not really a script language I use for this. It's an excel spreadsheet that I build and use it at our company that is a spreadsheet that you collect information and it populates the WLC config and AP config. So we scan in all the AP's serial and MAC address and this allows use to rename them from the default, set location. IP address, h-reap mapping, all the info to completely configure an AP. So since I have the ap name, I also have configuration to enable/disable radios and or admin status.
This is how I "script it" cut and paste. So when we are done priming the AP's they mount it and we have no other configurations to do. I update this almost every week to add features or fix formulas that I have enters wrong. I can do up to 4000 AP's and 20 WLC and can easily add to this. Well at least it's easy for me.

How to disable auto_home and individual datasets on Solaris 11 11/11

There's a lot of changes in Solaris 11 that I like, but two of the ones I dislike, I just can't seem to get rid of them.
I'd like to disable auto_home, permanently. I don't want users' home directories to be mapped on /home .
I've read that all I needed was to remove all mentions of home in /etc/auto_home and/or /etc/auto_master (can't recall which one of the 2 files as I removed all mentions, 'f course...) .
Once done, I read I simply needed to run automount once (automount -v) .
No go. The next user I've created was mapped in /etc/auto_home, and /etc/password modified accordingly.
Moreover, each new account is created as its own individual ZFS dataset. I understand the advantages of this, as each user can create his own snapshots, etc. But I don't need that, and I certainly won't need a zfs list output that scrolls on many pages !
How can I disable this ? I just tested it, 2 seconds ago :

I remember awhile back reading about this on OpenSolaris, but it just came back to mind as you mentioned it.
Still, other than svcadm disable autofs, I can't see how to disable only auto_home.
And I'm still stuck with my individual zfs datasets that I hate hoooo so much ! :-)

How to disable an smb share?

All our itunes and iphoto libraries are on a windows server that is shared out to our apple devices but I need to change the ip address of the windows server.
The smb share on the macbook (10.6) and the g5 (10.5) is forced at startup to the old ip address and for the life of I me I can't remember how I did it and how to disable it.
Any pointers?

Using Oc4j 9.0.3. When deploying the ear, oc4j goes about creating tables. How to disable that (the tables to map to is allready defined)

to autocreate-tables="false"
This should stop OC4J from autocreating tables
