Hi,
I would like to disable Firefox Downloadmanager, because downloadspeed is rather low, compared to another Downloadmanager, I am using with IE9. I would like to use Firefox, but together with my personal Downloadmanager.

I upgraded my Firefox to 25, from 24 I'm getting problem regarding installation of any add on. Every time I start Firefox it notify me to install the disabled plugin. I allow installation, and then restart FF, but it still stay opened and open a new tab for the same prompt. It's not just annoying, but it's not installing the add on into my FF.
I just want to DISABLE (by unchecking or sth.) the default feature into my FF.
I'm a developer and aware enough what add on is running behind the scene and how to remove them.

Just to be sure: do you mean extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or plugins (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) as those are different add-ons?
In case of extensions, you can check for problems with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end side of the Search Bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

First, it isn't a trojan, there is an internal blocklist that Firefox can use to protect you from out of date software.

Hello, I have recently installed Firefox 33.1 and noticed that, when I open an image on a new tab, some of them will show a thumbnail of the image I opened on the tab, while others don't.
I am wondering, if there is a way to stop Firefox from making these thumbnails?

Feels like if an image is larger than around 1000 pixel on one side, it won't have a thumbnail.
For example:1500*1500, 1362*768 don't have a thumbnail, while 1024*768 do.

Big-phkn-brother's on us, and its the greedy phkn corporations who don't give sht about us except for what's in our wallets. InterNet used to be cool, now its the CIA, the FBI, KGB, policia, FartBuuk, Macro$haft, AT&T, Giggle (at least they give something of value back), and all the other facist big-brothers. Mozilla was born fighting that schema. There's so much more that FireFox could do to mitigate InterNet facism.

I understand that you would like to know how to disable web security in Firefox and you have tried: security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy;true and network.http.referer.XOriginPolicy. These are cross domain single origin policy that refers to a specific header int HTTP.
The chromium-browser --disable-web-security essentially does the same thing. (Ideally) It seems from a couple of sources that this does not actually disable Cors as well? Hence (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1039678)
