How to disable GP retroactive process completely?

We use PeopleSoft Global Payroll for our payroll processing. We eabled the retroactive processing before, now we found the payroll processing performance down outstandingly, we want to disable the GP retroactive processing option.
We have disable the retro option on the run type, calendar group, but we found the payroll processing still process retroactive.
Does anyone know the options to control GP retroactive processing I have missed?
Mnay thanks

Personally, I think it is a horrible idea to disable retroactive processing in GP, there must be something wrong in ur rules that there are performanace issues. Anyways, to answer the original question, can be done in many ways:
1. delete all the entries from the trigger tables for all the retro evt definitions, just before each payroll run.
2. make retro evt definitions inactive on the trigger setup page.
or
3. customize generate_triggers peoplecode function so that it does not make entries for retro events(but this is rather cumbersome)
In any case, retroactivity is such a power feature of GP. This idea of disabling retroactive processing sounds really bizarre.
Thanks,
Vikas

    Hi All,
    Can someone help me in figuring out how to disable access to internet completely in the jnlp file.
    To be specific with the scenario if the client does not have the JRE installed, i would like to have it downloaded from the server where application runs instead of going to java.sun.com website which needs internet access.
    How can we configure it in such a way that it does not go to internet at all.

  • How to disable the Export process

    Hi Guru's
    We have an FDM application which requires certain locations to only proceed as far as the validate stage. We would like a simple method of disabling the export process.
    Locations which meet this criteria are held within specific control groups and have specifically formatted location names which makes identifcation via script very easy. For example all such location end with "_PADJ". A pre-export event script can test and trap this condition but I can find no reference as to how the export process that has been started can be terminated through the API.
    Any advice greatly appreciated

    Create a second target adaptor and assign it to these locations. Under the integration settings for this adaptor, uncheck the "Enable Load" option.

    Hi,
    What’s your Exchange environment? Exchange 2010 co-existing with Exchange 2013? Can you share your related transport rule here for more analysis? What’s your custom email address format?
    I created a custom address like Fax:Winnie@/FN=333 in my tab environment, it returned an error about “The address ‘Fax:Winnie@/FN=333’ is not a valid SMTP address”. Please update your Global Address List in Exchange server and if there is any error log,

  • How to disable "Close on successful completion"?

    Hey guys,
    I just had a quick question about the deployment dialogue in LabVIEW
    There is a check box called "Close on successful completion" when you deploy your LabVIEW code with shared variables or deploy the code to RealTime OS.
    Is there a settings saved somewhere that I can uncheck this? I checked the xml file of labview project itself but cant seem to find it.

    I am not sure about other ways but one workaround is, diconnect the RT communication and deploy so it will fail. Now you can uncheck the option and then the selection will be retained.
    The best solution is the one you find it by yourself

  • How to disable airplane power mode completely on T440p Windows 7 64?

    Hi!
    I have updated Windows 7 64 and latest Lenovo Power Manager 6.66.3
    My computer continuously switches to airplane power mode while being conneted to AC power source.
    *Despite* being disabled in the power manager ir still does it and being connected to AC power discharges the battery (also when the lid is closed it goes standby etc.).
    I don't need it! I need my notebook run at full performance while it is connected to the AC power, no matter if I type keys/move mouse or not, is battery fully charged or not.
    Please help me achieving this.
    Thank you in advance/

    Hi!
    Yes, I would happily do that, but without Lenovo power manager my screen goes dim frequently. So even when I have power management in Windows set to not save power on anything, it still flickers and i think it is something wrong with Lenovo BIOS or similar. Lenovo power manager took those screen flickers away, but brought that airplane mode that simply cannot be disabled.

    Warp Stabilising is a two part process.
    Analysis and Stabilising.
    Both have a banner across the Program Monitor during the process ( unless you have turned that off.
    Analysis start automatically on forst application...but you can rock in there and start adjusting the parameters.
    You may need to hit "Analyse" Button again.
    You should see the number of frames and the estimated duration during this process.

  • How to disable auto-completing service request after completing last activity

    How to disable standard rule, that change service request status to "Complete" when the last activity in this service request is completed?
    For SCSM 2012 R2

    Perhaps you can use the "Closed" status as a way of indicating that your are completely finished with a service request? (This follows ITIL). It has the advantage of being an out-of-the-box feature and, by default, SR's have to be closed by
    a user.
    Keep in mind, though, that closed service requests are groomed out of the CMDB (356 day retention time by default, i believe). But, they'll still be available for a few years in your data warehouse.
    What is your business reason for this behavior? Console views? Custom reports?
    If "Closed" doesn't cut it for you, you may want to consider extending the Server Request class with your own status property that you can use for whatever your requirements are.

  • How to disable an out of the box disable User process task  from resource?

    How should I disable the out of the box disable User process task that is assigned to a particular resource? If I disable this disable User process task, when the user is provisioned to the same resource will I be able to stop this disable User process from running?
    My requirement: I need to disable the disable user process task from three resources x, y and z. Whenever a user is provisioned to one of these resources I should stop this disable user process task an out of the box process task from running. How can this be accomplished?? Please help me out on how to configureto remove the process task in the OIM Admin console to stop the process task.

    You can avoid the disable task from triggering by removing the Disable Process Or Access to Application from the task effect drop down in the process task. But this task is triggered once the user is disabled. But still I didn't understand the exact scenario.
    By the way the disable task is triggered when the user gets disabled and not when the user is provisioned.

  • How to disable automatic statistics collections on tables

    Hi
    I am using Oracle 10g and we have few tables which
    are frequently truncated and news rows added to it.
    Oracle automatically analyzes the table by some means
    which collects statistics of the table but at the
    wrong time(when the table is empty). This makes my
    query to do a full table scan rather using indexes
    since the statistics was collected when the table was
    empty.Could any one please let me know how to disable
    the automatic statistics collection feature of
    Oracle?
    First of all I think it's important that you understand why Oracle collects statistics on these tables: Because it considers the statistics of the object to be missing or stale. So if you just disable the statistics gathering on these tables then you won't have statistics at all or outdated statistics.
    So as said by the previous posts you should gather the statistics manually yourself anyway. If you do so right after loading the data into the truncated table, you don't need to disable the automatic statistics gathering as it only processes objects that are stale or don't have statistics at all.
    If you still think that you need to disable it there are several ways to accomplish it:
    As already mentioned, for particular objects you can lock the statistics using DBMS_STATS.LOCK_TABLE_STATS, or for a complete schema using DBMS_STATS.LOCK_SCHEMA_STATS. Then these statistics won't be touched by the automatic gathering job. You still can gather statistics using the FORCE=>true option of the GATHER__STATS procedures.
    If you want to change the automatic gathering job that it only gathers statistics on objects owned by Oracle (data dictionary, AWR etc.), then you can do so by calling DBMS_STATS.SET_PARAM('AUTOSTATS_TARGET', 'ORACLE'). This is the recommended method.
    If you disable the schedule job as mentioned in the documentation by calling DBMS_SCHEDULER.DISABLE('GATHER_STATS_JOB') then no statistics at all will be gathered automatically, causing your data dictionary statistics to be become stale over time, which could lead to suboptimal performance of queries on the data dictionary.
    All this applies to Oracle 10.2, some of the features mentioned might not be available in Oracle 10.1 (as you haven't mentioned your version of 10g).

  • How to disable/enable image property in Web Dynpro?

    Hi,
    I was trying to find a help about "How to disable/enable property of an image in Web Dynpro?" but never find it. Let me explain what I'm trying to do:
    I need to show three different status (Released, Rejected and Approved) each one is an image ... <b>How do I do to disable images property before a process and enable them after it?</b>
    Thanks in Advance, and waiting an answer As Soon As Possible !!!
    Tokio

    Your question is not completely clear to me. An image cannot trigger an event, so disabling it has no effect.
    To display different images in a Image element depending on some condition, you can use a calculated context attribute <i>imageSource </i>of type "string" that returns the URL of the image, something like
    public String getImageSource(IWDNodeElement element)
      if (...)
        return "image_for_status1";
      else if (...)
        return "image_for_status2";
      else if (...)
        return "image_for_status3";
      return ""; /* no image will appear */
    Bind property Image.<i>source </i>to attribute <i>imageSource</i>.
    If you put the three image files inside folder src/mimes/components/<componentName>, your method can simply return the file name without calculating an URL.

  • System restore - how to disable communication ?

    Hi,
    i would like to get some information on "how to disable the communication between "SAP  and SAP" and "SAP to nonSAP" System in case of a system restore.
    my requirements:
    - i need to disable SM59 RFC destination / Ports / Gateway
    - i need to disable webservice communication (SICF / LPCONFIG / etc)
    Is there a global switch do close the communication ?
    - Is it useful to set the (Batchjob-Profile = 0) that no BatchJob could be started ?
    - Is it useful to lock all users ? (except admin users)
    What about the event triggered IDocs. I think there is no Batchjob running ?
    How do you solve this in your company in case of a system restore and the communication must be closed ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gordon

    Hi,
    1. Rfc connection : Temporarily you can give some garbage vale in user-id and password in "Logon and Security" in SM59 to make it not workable.
    2. Port settings : In We21, if Rfc connection itself is not working then corresponding port which is making use of this rfc, will also not work.
    3. Batch jobs : To completely deactivate a job from running , select the next job occurrence by searching its released status and then go to the tab Job> Released to Scheduled. This will stop the job from running again. However to terminate an active job, go to SM66 , Edit>Process-->restart after
    error>yes and then Process>cancel-->with core.
    Thanks,
    Asit Purbey.
