How to disable intergrated Display

As subject above, i want to plug my old G force 4 into my K8M Neo-v AGP slot. When i did, my samsung 710N black out but the power LED still blinking. When i unplug the VGA cable, my monitor show 'no signal'. i know i should disable intergrated Disaply at Bios but i don't know under what Title. Pls help. P/s i never update my Bios.

Have you tried plugging the monitor into the onboard video with the GF4 in the computer? if it works then it's just a simple operation of changing the 'Init display first' option (or similar) in the bios to "AGP" or "AGP slot"
There is also another problem I have heard of, unlikely but it is possible - some GF4's don't like monitors with a Pin 9 on their signal plug. this pin doesn't actually connect to anything, but if it's physically there, it can cause problems, so on most monitors it is never put there to begin with.
If you can't get the monitor to work with the GF4 even when it's set to first display, and you have a pin 9, try pulling it out.

How to disable external display (s-video adapter)

My problem is this:
I have the new iMac in my office and I have my widescreen TV (CRT non-HDTV) on the other side of the wall in the living room. I recently purchased the Apple video adapter so I could run a s-video cable through the wall to my TV. I got it to work fine but how do I disable it? If I have mirroring on (only way to use Front Row) my iMac screen resolution drops obviously but I can't turn native screen resolution back on without either a) turn off mirroring b) remove video adapter.
Surely there is a better way to do this?

I'm not a hundred percent sure this will work for you since I've never used svideo out on my mac before, but if it works similar to dvi out, then do the following:
1. Set you tv up as extended desktop rather than mirror. This will allow you to set different resolutions on the internal and external monitors.
2. When you want to use the TV for front row, drag the Menu bar from the internal monitor to the external monitor in the monitors system pref. This will make your tv the controlling monitor and front row will play on it.
3. When you finish with front row, drag the menu bar back to the internal monitor.
Again, this works when I have my dvi cable connected to my tv, I'm not sure if a svideo output is treated the same way, though I would think it should be.

I have been trying to disable the video display on Adobe Flash player, but I want the audio / sound to play without any video supporting it (playing) such as youtube and any other video supported by Adobe Flash. Is this even possible? It will be very much appreciated if I can do this.

External display - how to disable internal display or to move dock

I'm using my MacBookPro with my external monitor. Since my external 24" Monitor is big enough, I don't want to use my integrate monitor. At least I'd like to move the dock as well as the top bar to the external monitor, because my MacBookPro is not in front of me.
Any ideas?

You have several options.
First, and simplest, is just video mirroring, where the Mac sends the same signal to both the internal LCD and the external monitor. Since both screens are showing the same image, it doesn't matter which one you consider 'primary' - they both are.
Secondly you can designate which screen is primary using the Displays Preferences. Under the 'Arrangement' tab you can set the relative position of each screen (e.g. LCD to the left/right of the monitor) by dragging the screens around. You'll also notice that one screen has a mini menu-bar visible. This denotes the 'primary' screen that handles the menu bar and dock. Dragging this menu bar to the other monitor will change the primary screen to that monitor and achieve what you want.

Landmarks display in Maps, how to disable ?

I am using Landmark feature to plan routes, and i managed to import routes from google earth as landmarks in my E71.
Three question remaining:
1. How to disable the display of the landmarks ? Once i have choosen to display a category, i do not know how to disable it again (without deleting the landmarks). Since loading of maps takes more time with landmarks active i would like to switch them off again.
2. Some landmarks are not loaded (usually around 20% of the landmarks create errormessage and do not have valid coordinates). Can not find the reason... anybody else having this problem?
3. Does anybody know how to create own symbols? The blue pin-point is to big... would like to have simply a very small point on the map.

I'm not sure if you can remove your personally saved favourites from the display. There is a choice in Maps 2.0 to enable and disable showing of certain types of "Point Of Interest":
Options>Tools>Settings>Map>Categories
But this does not include favourites, and there is no similar option under the Favourites section.

Does anyone know How to Disable "Auto Align" in [System Preferences] -> [Display] -> [Arrangement]?
It always want to align the two screens from the top when they are lined up close together and I need them to be aligned from the bottom. Since the resolution heights are so close together (1080 & 1050) it does not allow one to align side by side from the bottom as it prioritizes top alignment.
I guess I'm looking for a script to disable this feature.

You can modify the installation package using the Adobe Customization Wizard to toggle the "Display PDF in Browser" but I have not found a setting to disable JavaScript from the Wizard. I have created a script which makes the changes, but it has to be run for every user since that info is stored in the User hive of the Windows registry.
Disable JavaScript:
REG ADD "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\9.0\JSPrefs" /v bEnableJS /d 0 /t REG_DWORD /f
Disable Browser Integration:

I am having troubles with opening a report in PDF form from a web browser, and I'm trying to figure out how to disable opening a PDF in a browser in Reader XI. I tried disabling "Open in Read Mode" and "Allow Fast Web View" both individually and seperately, and none of those combinations did the trick.

Try these steps. ( I'm using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Internet Explorer 9, and Adobe XI )
1. Open Adobe XI
2. Click Edit
3. Click Accessibility
4. Click Setup Assistant
5. Click top radio button 'Set Options for Screen Readers'
6. Click Next
7. Do not change options on Screen 2 of 4, Click Next
8. Do not change options on Screen 3 of 4, Click Next
9. On screen 4 of 4, remove the check mark on ' Display PDF documents in the web browser '
NOTE: I checked Internet Explorer 9 / Tools / Manage add-ons and Adobe PDF Link Helper is still enabled in Internet Explorer 9.
PDF's will open in Adobe XI as you preferred and not in your brower.

Regarding the skip/force pass/force fail options, when I set the ControlExecFlow to True in Teststand 3.1 and 3.5, in the Sequence Editor the menu options for skip/force pass/force fail are not active for Technician but, when I launch the Operator Interface logged with Technician the options are active. The problem is that if the technician sets one step to one of these options, and change the user to Operator, the test step remains skip/force pass.
Is there any possibility without modifying the Operator Interface (at programming level), to reload default values of the steps when changing the user to Operator?

I downloaded one of the PDF form (IMM5490) from cic.gc.ca and saved it on my computer after filling it up. Later on the following message popped up when I tried to open the form again later to in order to make some changes.
"This document enabled extended features in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document"
Your help in this regard will be greatly appreciated, since, I have already filled the form with a lot of information and I will not be able to edit the form with additional information unless I disable the extended features ( I guess).

This auto brightness problem is been bothring me for a long time now, and i can't find any fix for it at all
the display goes:
- Bright when having on screen a white web page, document, picture
- and it display dims down when having on screen a dark web page/ documente or picture
i tried everything i can find in forums to stop it but no success at all :'(
Note 1:
I changed the settings and Turn off Auto Brightness in windows 8 advaced power plan settings
Note 2:
i tried to go disable the AMD Vari-Bright but the windows 8 AMD catalyse controle center, but it doesn't have that option to turn in off :/
Note 3:
I did disable the Sensor Monitoring Service in services.msc menu .. but still didn't do the trick :/
Note 4:
i did disabled Intel Display Power saving Technology in intel's graphic and media Control Panel and .. with all this, still, the auto brithtness problem isn't solved :/
now .. i really have no idea what to do, with all this attepemts and still can't get rid of it, i start losing hope i can use my laptop without the screen changing brighness on its own, watching a movie and browsing the web with the screen flickers to adapte to the background, its a terrible situation, i just can't see why HP or other gpu manufacturesee this as solution to anything, its just a continuous headache that i can't get rid of
Please, i need your help guys, if someone found a solution to this .. tell me (and the others who might have the same problem) how to solve it
