item) in Script , My menubar is like the following:

mmm yes, for now there are two fields it he DFF window.. but in a future .. may be more..
I've found a function:
fnd_flex_key_api.enable_column that may be properly for that, but I don't know what to pass in the the first parameter (flexfield IN flexfield_type)...
I mean: I suppose is the "name" for my DFF but.. how can I get it?

How to disable a button using Java Script in Apex

Hi All,
I was trying to disable a button when the value of a select list item in the same page is equal to zero. Following are the steps which I did.
1) Created a new button template as <table class="t9StandardButton" id="#BUTTON_ID#" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" summary="">
2) Changed the existing button template to the newly created button template.
3) Added onchange="javascript:fdisplay(this);" to form element value of select list
4) Added the following java script in the page header
<script type="text/javascript">
function fdisplay(some) {
if (some.value==0){
html_GetElement ('#BUTTON_ID#').disabled = true;
else
html_GetElement ('#BUTTON_ID#').disabled = false;
</script>
But the script doesn't work. Is there anything I am missing here. Please advice.

In the 'Button Attributes' field of the button enter 'id='thisButton'.
Modify the button template to include the substitution string #BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES# . This should be put in the anchor tag in the template defintion.
Modify your Javascript to reference the above id as
html_GetElement ('thisButton').disabled = true;

How to disable instances of items in forms 4.5 in a mlti row block

I have a multi row database block in forms 4.5 . One of the items is a checkbox. Based on certain conditions the user should be allowed to select only the checkbox only for some rows. How can i selectively disable the checkbox for some record and enable it for the other records.
I know this can be done in OFrms 6i using set_item_instance_property but this is not available in forms 4.5 . Any ideas or workarounds to achieve this ?

I fear there is no direct solution.
May be this is a work-around:
1. Apply the older built-in: Display_item. You can't disable the item with display_item, but you can change the visual attribute and show the user that this item should not be checked.
2. To be shure that the user doesn't ignore this "disable", you need a trigger, which resets the item to the proper value after an illegal change.

I'd do it creating a custom web part that would mimic the list web part, and have logic in there that makes sure to hide the button once an entry by the current user has been made in the list. You could also create a workflow that would remove the user's
permission to add a new item on the list upon creating an item.

Forms personalisation - Vendor Form - How to Disable a Tab Page

I am not a Forms 6i/9i programmer, although I have an appreciation of the concepts and can look at forms in Form builder. I have been looking at forms personalisation and have used it to execute plsql via the built in 'execute a procedure'. I can also see how to disable blocks, or items, but I haven;t managed to disable a form tab page i.e. On the vendor form there are tabs for GENERAL, CLASSIFICATION etc.
I have tried using the object type Tab Page, but the poplist doesn;t list any tab pages. Also if you choose Canvas, the list of Canvases appears but generates errors when you try and use the form (complaining of tab page ids).
I understand that to disable a tab page programatically, you would use SET_TAB_PAGE_PROPERTY i.e. in a forms trigger or in CUSTOM.pll
I would have thought Forms personalisation could do this.
Any ideas would be appreciated

What you can do is hiding the tabs (see pic below) and force the active tab programmaticily

How to Disable Event firing while updating a list item using poweshell

Hi All,
I am working on a powershell code which updates most of the list items in the entire web application. I am using SystemUpdate($false) to update the items so that 'modified' and 'modified By' and versions are not changed.
However event receivers gets fired which is now a problem. I want to disable the Event receivers before update and enable it after update. I want powershell code for this. I am using SharePoint 2010.

This is a new behavior introduced in Lion. You can disable it completely via System Preferences, General: uncheck the "Restore windows..." box toward the bottom.
You can disable this behavior on a case by case basis by either closing all windows before quitting, or holding the option key while quitting, or holding the shift key while launching from dock.

Facing Strange Problem in DIR HOW TO DISABLE THE RIGHT CLICK MOUSE IN THE DIRECTOR? (through parent script/ movie?)

Summary : HARD QUESTION : In the DIR file, the game runs well, right click = no effect. Coz I'm not making right click scripts. BUT in EXE file, right click = ERROR.
Explanation :
In the Adobe Director screen, this DIR file game is worked 100%.
I tested right click EVERYWHERE... NOTHING HAPPENS.
Because I don't make any programming with "on rightmouseup" or "on rightmousedown" command.
THEN, I published it into EXE...
I tested right click EVERYWHERE...I hoped the result will be the same as DIR tests....
WHEN I RIGHT CLICK IN THE AREA THAT'S GIVEN ON EXITFRAME ME, IT SHOWS ERROR, CHANGING PICTURES.....
this does not happened in the DIR file...
I didn't make a runmode program or anything else.... This is awkward... mystery for me...
WHY THERE'S A DIFFERENCE IN DIR and EXE... it should be exactly the same result.
I have used Director for years.... This is really strange for me...

I need your help and guide through this problem...
In the game's dir file that is run on the DIRECTOR softwawre,
the game runs perfectly, I can do LEFT CLICKS (coz I programmed the script)
and when I do RIGHT CLICKS = there are no effect ( coz I don't do script for it)
LATER THIS GAME TURNED INTO EXE.
It supposed to run like the dir file as ABOVE. BUT STRANGELY, WHEN
I DO RIGHT CLICKS, it turns Error and showing as the picture attachment.
The right clicks that goes error are above the picture of numeric button only. (in DIR file
this run normal). I looked into the script behind the numeric button picture, there are only "on exitframe me", there are no script I made inside the "on exitframe me" that is triggering RIGHT CLICKS.
1. I wonder why there are differences in DIR and EXE effect
2. Why right click? Left click effects are all normal.
3. IS THERE ANY WAY TO DISABLE ALL RIGHT CLICKs since the beginning of EXE. So the game will be run normal. I don't need right clicks anyway, but whenever people do right click there will be ERROR.??
4. Is there any way to STOP THE MESSSAGE BOX TO APPEAR IN FRONT OF THE GAME? (I hate the Dirrector Error Message Box), or auto press OK.
NB: this game uses Buddy API Xtras, File IO Xtras.

It all depends on your actual scenario.
If the show/hide condition is known pre-rendering, you can use the Application Builder ReadOnly attribute. In this case, the APEX engine actually creates a simple text display so the input field and the browse button will not be displayed at all (and not just grayed out). However, if you need to toggle the status of the item, like in the example, or the status depends on a user input, using the disable attribute is much simpler (If you start with ReadOnly item, you will have to create the file browse item yourself, using JavaScript, or submit/re-direct the page so it will be rendered with the file browse item).

I've seen your query all over the internet, so I should warn you I don't believe it's possible to disable a List Item.
For that you should use Josh Tynjala's open source Advanced List (http://code.google.com/p/flextoolbox/downloads/list).

you are disabling the menu items wich correspond to the elements of the 1D array :
-if the array is empty, no element is disabled;
-if the array contains 1 element, for instance = 3, the forth (3+1) menu item will be disabled. If the array element equal zero, then the first menu item will be disabled;
- if the array contains 2 elements, then two corresponding menu items will be disabled, and so on...
