in my office i am using ie8 now. what i have to do to resolve this problem?

Hi,
The feature "Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks" is already replaced with "Enable Enhanced Protected Mode". You can disable it instead to realize your goals.
For more infomation about this new feature, you can refer to the link below for more details:

  • How to disable memory cache for SL410?

    Hi,
My lenovo thinkpad SL410 has Windows 7 prof edition as its OS.  But in the last few months it frequently crashes.  Many times when I use Chrome browser status would indicate AppCache, and that's an evil OMEN for its usually the prelude of crash.  Other browser may or may not have such issue, however, Chrome is really my preferred web browser.
Some research seems to suggest disabling memory cache via BIO setup would resolve it.  And here's my lenovo's BIO info:
    Version: 1.23
    Date: 2009-10-19
but it does not have any info as to who's its maker or the like.  And I don't see any option in the BIO setup that would allow me to disable cache.  So, two questions,
    a) Is it possible to disable memory cache for SL410?
    b) if so how?
    Thanks.

    Hi mujno,
As I know currently there is no programmatically way to clean cache for WebView, see Matt's blog:How to clear the WebView cache
However if you are developing an enterprise app, you should be able to invoke some scripts to clean for you, see this for more information:Brokered

  • How to disable windows protection on multipoint server?

    Hi!
I'm trying to install some software on windows multipoint server 2011 (single workstation with six stations). The application woudn't start at all. The system gives a standard windows mesage error with two optinos: stop app or try to find a solution online.
On windows 7 with antivirus software, when trying to copy files from DVD to hard drive, file like install.exe is been deleted with mesage that it is "susspicious". But when I disable it, software is instaled perfectly.
So, I'm not sure if the software has some certificate problem...or whatever.. It is not a virus.
I just want to install it.
How I'm going to disable windows server protection? Or, what should I do?

There should be link with Install anyway option located in right bottom corner. Can you post a screenshot? Did you try to install it with admin privilages?

  • EMET + GPO: How to Disable Default Protections

    Hi,
I have rolled out EMET 4.1 and configured it via GPO. When I first deployed it, Default Protections for Internet Explorer, Recommended Software and Popular Software were activated. Now, after some issues came up I want to configure every
    application myself.
    Now to my problem:
I can’t deactivate the Default Protections, every time I try to set them to disabled they go back to not configured.
Does anybody know how to fix this? Also, if these Default Protections are not enabled does EMET then use the Setting from the Registry?

I have to say that I do not have any experience with configuring EMET via GPO's. I guess you disabled the GPO settings but are the registry values also removed
    under the registry key 'HKLM/Software/Policies/Microsoft/EMET'.
When you change the EMET GPO and you have updated the policies on the computer with 'gpupdate /Target:Computer /Force' you have to wait a few seconds and use the command "emet_conf.exe --refresh" to update EMET mitigation settings. You can then use the command
"emet_conf.exe --list" to display all the application mitigation settings for EMET, showing the settings configured locally (EMET_GUI or EMET_CONF) first, followed by the settings configured via Group Policy.

  • How do you disable Enhanced Protected Mode in the Metro/Modern version of IE11?

    Hi All,
We need to try and disable Enhanced Protected Mode in the Metro/Modern version of IE11 as it's causing SSO problems with our proxy server (prompting for credentials).
I have already disabled EPM on the desktop version and SSO is now working, but only for the desktop IE.
It looks like turning of Protected Mode (for the Internet zone) resolves the issue on both the Metro and desktop IE versions but we'd obviously rather not do that!
    any ideas?
    Cheers,
    G

I have already disabled EPM on the desktop version and SSO is now working, but only for the desktop IE.
Looking at the IECompatData.xml file suggests that there is some kind of override involving EPM but that would be specified on a host basis.   Can "SSO" be expressed in terms of a set of host (or domain) names?
    Robert Aldwinckle
Don's link points to this which may clarify (a bit?) what EPMCompatMode involves
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ieinternals/archive/2012/03/23/understanding-ie10-enhanced-protected-mode-network-security-addons-cookies-metro-desktop.aspx

Is it possible to disable some popups from FEP Client on the desktop. But how to disable popups from real time protection. This is so that end users who are non technical are not disturbed and only the I.T is aware of the viruses in teh environment.Shahid Roofi

You could set policies which when a malware detected an action perform automatically without user interaction but there is no GPO which stop the notification, one reason could be that when notification keep appearing, then user will know something is wrong
otherwise why FEP should display any warning.

  • How to disable App Caching in 10.9

    Hi All,
As much as I think that the new memory management system in OS X 10.9 is a very nice idea, it really doesn't work for me because I have Virtual Machines stopping and starting and the despite the fact that they are only trying to pull 512MB each, the system just can't handle pushing that much to them.
Is there a way to disable this app/file caching and get back to something more to the style of the old memory management system - I really want to have FREE memory available for when I actually need it - I really don't care if free memory is wasted memory, free memory is what works for me
    I have a Mid 2009 13" MBP with a 2.2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 8GB of RAM
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can't bear my system grinding to a halt with several servers running in the background - the sort of thing that it could handle just fine under 10.8 - also, downgrading is not an option for me!

    Does this address your issue.

Unfortunately, no - App Nap only applies to running applications, and saving processing power and thus energy, whereas the app preloading is all about being clever about which files are in use and keeping as many as possible crammed into the memory.
However, disabling app nap is a useful thing to know, thanks!

  • How to disable sessions in CS6?

InDesign Server CS6 added a mechanic of multi-threading jobs via sessions.
Now you can begin session and end session via SOAP web service call.
However, the sessions add a huge overhead for those who want to use multi-instance instead of multi-threading.
A webservice call without a session ID is always ~500ms slower while it creates a session in the background. The session is then appears to be used on a ~5 second sliding timeout allowing subsequent calls to be 500ms faster, however if you wait around 10 seconds, the next call recreates the session and increases render time by ~500ms again.
This is a major issue when rendering takes on average of 1000ms. That's a 50% longer execution time. This is a major problem when trying to offer a speedy web application built on top of IDS.
I tried creating sessions and keeping the IDs in memory, but they expire and result in a whole bunch of SOAP errors.
My question is: Is it possible to disable sessions in IDS CS6 or remove the session expiration time completely?

This is the other discussion: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4518765#4518765
I've tried to lower the quality, and with pure magic, it now works, even when I put highest quality. I don't understand what happened. I asked you how to disable openGL because they told me to in the last discussion. So, thank you for repairing my problem (I think you repaired it, i'll make tests to see). Just in case, could you verify if it's posible to disable openGL like the other person told me?

  • How to disable CTRL+ALT+S on Win8

I have an HP notebook (Pavilion 17 or something) with Windows 8 64-bit.
I mainly use it (and primarily bought it) to play video games.
The shortcut CTRL+ALT+S (which opens system information) interferes with playing video games as I use those keys when doing so and far too often at the same time.
How do I disable the CTRL+ALT+S shortcut?
I mean besides a clean install of Windows without any HP programs, obviously.

    Hello @jdk21,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I have read your post on how you are looking to disable the CTRL + ALT + S combination on your notebook computer, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To disable this combination, I recommend performing a clean boot on your computer. This can be done by following the steps in this document on How to perform a clean boot in Windows. This should help boot your system with a minimal set of drivers and software, enabling your system to keep the settings changed with the keyboard combination.
If the issue continues, I recommend following the steps below by proceeding to this file location:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\HP Help and Support
    Right click HP Support Information
    Click properties
Click the box next to shortcut key
Hit backspace so the field says 'none'
    Apply
    Done!
(Note, If you can't access the folder above you need to show hidden & system files. In a file explorer window click the view tab at the top, then click options on the right, select 'change folder and search options' if prompted. go to the view tab in the popup. check show hidden files, folders, drives. uncheck hide protected operating system files. apply)

  • How to disable swapfile.sys on Windows 8?

It's possible to disable pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys, however, there does not appear to be information on how to disable
    swapfile.sys.
The file swapfile.sys appears to be an additional paging file from Metro and I'd like to know if there is a way to disable it as well.

hiberfile is EASY to get rid of
    1) disable fast start up
    2) disable hibernation
    3) disable hybrid sleep (this trips up most people) as hybrid sleep writes all the data as IF it's going to hibernate but then goes to sleep. This is in case of power failure. Then the system can resume from a hibernated state with no data/session loss
No reason to disable pagefile.sys, it's been proven OVER and OVER that 100% disabling the pagefile system does more harm than good and creates instability in windows - even if you had 64TB of RAM.. many programs actually use and REQUIRE the pagefile to page
    out code thats idle.
Even just a minimal 400MB pagefile on the C: drive will keep windows happy. That lets it make a mini dump if needed and allows programs that req a swap file to function normally.
Swapfile.sys, you can not turn off. That's just part of Windows 8. I'm not sure WHY it's there.. I loaded a TON of metro apps, and they hogged 6GB of memory, and they were being swapped to my PAGEFILE. So I'm not understanding what it's there for
