How to disable or enable iCloud in ML

I upgraded from SL yesterday to ML. SL never had iCloud as it had Mobile Me. Tiger never had neither and had .Mac. Apple has changed their onlin interface at least 3 times in the past 5-7 years and I do not wish to bank on iCloud only to have Apple change or discontinue the service and I lose all my data. So to keep this from happening I wish to properly disable iCloud and only sync with the Mac. However if I do this can I sync Notes and reminders or willthey only work via iCloud? I have MS Office 2011 but I do not think it will sync with the iPhone. The BlackBerry was far better at syncing with MS Office, but I no longer use that. However if I were a business man the BB is clearly the better device for that use, but for everything else iPhone wins.
I have disactivated iCloud on my Mac and iPhone and am attempting to sync via itunes, but its taking a real long time syncing the calendar. or is this all a good idea? The reason I got so frusterated with iCloud is that is dplicated 100 of my contacts on my Mac and it really ticked me off as I was unable to resolve it. Nothing got duplicated to the iphone.

Sign in, or out in system preferences>icloud.You will not be able to sync icloud at all, including reminders and notes. Office 2011 will not sync contacts or calendars either.

Like most people, I have a number of different e-mail accounts for a variety of different reasons (Yahoo, GMail, iCloud/@me). I'm trying to get it down to just one, where all my personal, work, etc. e-mails can go. Your GMail ID is simply the login; you can just use your iClour email address. If Apple are using the GMail address as a contact you can enable forwarding from GMail to your iCloud address. You do have an @icloud.com address as well as an @me.com address. However you cannot make either of these your ID/login.
You cannot delete an iCloud account nor the primary address. If you want to abandon it you could set up forwarding from iCloud to whatever address you want to use. Go to http://www.icloud.com , go to the Mail page and click the cogwheel icon at bottom left. In the first pane which opens there is a section to forward mail.

Disabling & Re-enabling iCloud Photo Library

I had to disable iCloud Photo Library (as part of logging out of iCloud on my Mac) to troubleshoot an iCloud issue. When I logged back in to iCloud ad re-enabled iCloud Photo Library it says I don't have enough disk space to download the originals (300GB+). That's not true as all the originals already exist in the library. It was working find before I disabled iCloud Photo Library.
My only option is to option is to optimize storage but as a result that will remove all the originals from my Mac.
It seems Photos app doesn't check to see if the originals already exist before displaying this warning and therefore I can't proceed.
Anyone know of a fix?

For those also suffering with the same problem...
I spoke to Apple. The only way to get around this is to select 'Optimise Mac Storage' and upload everything again! The originals will stay on your device even with the setting enabled providing the library is complete.
Bottom line. If you sign out of iCloud or disable iCloud Photo Library on your Mac, you'll need to re-upload your photos.

How to disable and enable a java bean area's visability?

I have a large javabean area on my initial canvas when first dispalying my form.
When I use the SHOW_CANVAS('canvas name') to display another canvas, everything looks fine except that the javabean from my previous canvas is still visible and covering up portions of this new canvas.
So I tried using the set_property visible for the javabean area in the form and it only got rid of the surrounding edge of the javabean area.
Last I made some set_custom_property values to send to the bean that would then use java calls to enable and disable the beans visability.
But once the beans visibility was disabled in Java then it wouldn't come back after the calls to enable the visibility and refresh the bean were made through Java calls.
Is there any other ways of disabling and enabling a java bean area's visability?

Maybe the bean is always display because of its particular paint() method ?
Anyway, without any reflexion, I could suggest you to set the bean item width and height to 1 pixel when you don't want to display it. (Set_Item_Property)

Hi all,
I have a system with2 BlackMagicDesign (BMD) Decklink cards in it. One HD Extreme and one HD Extreme 3D+ card.
I use it to capture multiple video streams at once and it works perfectly. I can choose to input and output card for audio, etc...
But I have software that can use a BMD Decklink card as 3th monitor or VideoOut Monitor.
That software always chooses the HD Extreme Card, and I cant choose it manually...
I need the software to use the Decklink 3D+ card (because it has a HDMI 1.4 out and works in Stereo3D)
If I remove the second card, all works perfectly, but I want to avoid to do that...
In Windows you can easily disable hardware....
But, can we do that in MacOSX 10.7??

Don't know if this will work for your specific setup or not, but SwitchResX is a unique utility for controlling video configurations (including enabling/disabling multiple monitors).

How to disable Apple ID/iCloud account access to file sharing on two Macs set up using one Apple ID account?

I've two Macs set up with my Apple ID. Now one of them is using other Apple ID but I can still access all it's files via file share using my old Apple ID the computer has be set up with. Is there a way to disable that "feature"? Thing to mention is that the other Apple ID is used in Store and in the accounts.

OK found the answer in anothe discussion thread. On iPad, delete existing account by going to settings-iCloud-and tap red delete account bar. Sign in with the Apple id you want to use. This worked for me this time. Even though when I first tried to set up the iCloud account, I got error messages and thus was forced into creating the new id.
Anyhow, success.

Try to use customize InfoPath form, add rules. Go to list tab, click customize Form, then this opens the list form in InfoPath
format.
1.Select the check box field control, click add rules, select if is blank, show validation error action.
2.Then go to conditions, click column name is blank, change it to the required column you want.
3.Go to rule type, click validation, change it to formatting, select hide this control.
4.Publish the InfoPath form.

I am hoping you can assist me. I have an 8703e the firewall is enabled due to the Unite Program.. I have asked for assistance on that board but no answer as well as a previous thead from another person marked solved when its not. I have tried
*uninstalling the Unite Program as per directions provided by the program
* wiping the phone (which removed the IT policy but not firewall settings)
I spent countless hours and even a month just trying to find the answer to remove the IT policy. The latest I have read from other users on this issue is to install 4.5 os and do further steps then wipe and reinstall. Although there is no 4.5 for my phone.
Does anyone here have any thoughts

Unable to disable the "Enable Administration Port" (Weblogic 12.1.1.0)

I have a Weblogic server installation from which the field "Enable Administration Port" has been checked (Probably the Administration Port is now 9002, but I cannot check it).
As a consequence I am unable to access the Console.
When I try to access the Console through the 7001 port, I get the message:
Console/Management requests or requests with <require-admin-traffic> specified to 'true' can only be made through an administration channel.
Does someone know how to disable the "Enable Administration Port"? Maybe with WSLT?

If you see that pop up you enabled icloud. Whether you want or do not want now to use it irrelevant until you actually disable activation lock.
In order to do that you have to change your apple id back to do that just long enough to sign in and back out. System will ask you to verify, don't.
Just sign in on the prompt you getting and then logout. Once done, change apple id to what you have now and verify. Then decide if you want to
use icloud (who does not want to be able to track their phone if lost or stolen).

By not allowing enough time to reset, do you mean you have tried a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignoring the red slider? If so, are you able to power down just using the power button? Does it then restart on its own?
If you cannot get it to reboot, stay powered down, take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the technicians test it to see what is wrong...that is most likely a hardware issue.

You can modify the installation package using the Adobe Customization Wizard to toggle the "Display PDF in Browser" but I have not found a setting to disable JavaScript from the Wizard. I have created a script which makes the changes, but it has to be run for every user since that info is stored in the User hive of the Windows registry.
Disable JavaScript:
REG ADD "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\9.0\JSPrefs" /v bEnableJS /d 0 /t REG_DWORD /f
Disable Browser Integration:
