Hi ,
On the windows phone , if you go to the internet explorer browser settings we can able to change the website preference from mobile version to desktop version .
Based on my knowledge we don't have the option to set those settings through owa mailbox policy.
Same time please try to open your owa account on some other mobile phones as well as you can change the browsers version to check the issue on the same device.
Please reply me if anything is unclear.
Thanks & Regards S.Nithyanandham

Set the text item's Enabled property to False at design time. Then, using SET_ITEM_PROPERTY (see Forms Help), set to Enabled in the relevent part of the code on the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED triggers on your Insert and Update buttons. Similarly, disable on your Save button once the cnahges are saved etc. -
How to Disable Lync 2013 Web app link in Lync meeting
I want disable Lync 2013 Web App , because it is confuse WinXP user(no sound suuport) , I reference the topic(Disable Lync Web App link) but not work in 2013 version. How can I disable that?
I assume you're referring to this link:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/lync/en-US/33fbfa3f-e7dd-43a7-85f4-43c280e17d4f/disable-lync-web-app-link?forum=ocsconferencing
That was an unsupported but clever hack that we developed by the user asking the question. There is not supported method for doing this in Lync 2013.
If it's an audio only meeting, I'd suggest removing the URL completely from each individual the meeting invite before sending it out. If it's not, then the WinXP user would either need Lync, which they would then automatically join with anyway, or
they wouldn't in which case sending them the meeting invite wouldn't help.

How to export SharePoint 2013 Calendar View to PPT or as an image?
Greetings!
I am working on a SharePoint 2013 event calendar and should be able to provide a capability to export my calendar view (day/week/month) as a PPT slide or as an image. I understand that OOB we can export the calendar list to Excel or open using MS Access.
I had been exploring the option of using the Chart View Web Part which can be saved as an image (jpeg/bmp/png). Here are the pitfalls - Chart View WP does not support calendar view. At best, I am able to use the Gantt Chart Types, but having difficulty using
Calendar list "Start Time" column for one of the axes. There is End Time and Duration columns available for selection, but not start time. Also, I am unable to define date range for my date in the x-axis. Right now I have an x-axis
that spans over 40 years. Is there any way to confine the chart for a particular quarter or year.
At this time, I am inclined to look at custom development approaches. Any suggestions regarding an approach will be really helpful.
Thanks!Well, even if you want to go through "Export", it will be more manual work than taking a screenie. Unless of course you want to achieve it programmatically (am not sure what to do there).
Another option could be to subscribe to the SharePoint Calendar from Outlook. That way you can eliminate the need for the PPT (?) and also enable your users/clients/management to have more clarity on how the dates stand vis-a-vis other stuff they have listed
on their calendars.

How to disable or unable to viewa particular function for a responsibility
Hi
I am trying to do personalization and i want to disable the view or updates of salary screen from people screen to certian responsibility.Especially element entry values should not be modified or viewed for specific responsibility. How can we do that with personalisation. Its standard form and dont want to do the customization of people screen
rgds
rajYou should achieve this without personalisation. Use taskflows_ so that the people/assignment form for the people with restricted views does not contain a button to link to the salary or element entry screens.
Also, you can set the system profile HR:User Type to HR Only to prevent the user accessing payroll related data.
I suggest the first option is the best in this case.
I hope this solves the problem!

How to disable constrain in Pivot View
Hello everybody,
I stuck with a problem regarding pivot table. As you all know whenever we put 2 cols. in page section of pivot then 2nd column is automatically constrain according to 1st column selection.
But I want the functionality like Dashboard Filter prompt in Pivot Table.
So, that if user want to place constrain/ skip column he can!
Is it possible in BI's pivot view.
e.g I want such that
1st col : Country
<Blank> -- Skip to select
All
India
Australia
America
UK....
2nd col : State
<Blank> -- Skip to select
All
<Various States of Countries>
So whenever I send <Blank> or All from Country column it shows All States in 2nd one for selection.
Please, Help me out.
ThanksNot sure what you mean by...
So whenever I send <Blank> or All from Country column it shows All States in 2nd one for selection.... because if you select "All Pages" for the Country column, then the State column would not be constrained.
So how do you get the "All Pages"?
In the Country column which you have in your Pages section of the Pivot Table, click on the "sigma sign" and select "Before." This will give you the "All" choice you seek for the Country column.
I hope this is what you are trying to achieve. -
How to disable Exchange 2013 Outlook Anywhere for internal Outlook client
Hello;
By default, Exchange 2013's Outlook Anywhere is enable for all user mailbox, if I disable the Outlook Anywhere per user mailbox, the user will not able to connect his Outlook client to Exchange 2013. What is the best method to disable the Outlook anywhere
on mailbox but let the Outlook 2013 still able access to Exchg server.
The initial idea is to prevent user from access to company Exchange server from ANYWHERE, we just want to open the Outlook Anywhere for the authorized user only. Looks like Microsoft did not think about the security.

I don't understand your request. If you disabled Outlook Anywhere, Outlook will only be able to connect via IMAP or POP3.
If you want to disable this ability and allow some then perhaps use cas-mailbox to disable in bulk and then enable only those allowed:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125264(v=exchg.150).aspx
The MAPIBlockOutlookRpcHttp parameter enables or disables access to the mailbox by using Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP) in Microsoft Outlook.
Valid values for this parameter are:
$true Only Outlook clients that aren't configured to use Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP) are allowed to access the mailbox. By default, Outlook 2013 is configured to use Outlook Anywhere.
$false Outlook clients that are configured to use Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP) are allowed to access the mailbox.
The default value is $false.

Hi everyone,
I disable the feature Mobile View on my site collection I can access the website with the standard view. However, If I try copy and past a link from some Document Library, the url gets redirect to the mobile view. Can some one give a suggestion how to fix
this?
Thanks
flavioHi bbbgy,
How did you mean ‘I disable the feature Mobile View on my site collection’ ? Whether you meaned that you disabled the feature at all sites in the site collection by OOB.
After disabling the feature at site level, please make sure mobile view is disabled at library or list level, you can do as Library/List Settings->Views->selecting the view that you used, on the Mobile section, unselect ‘Enable this view for mobile
access’ and ‘Make this view the default view for mobile access’. When you copy the URL of the library or list, please check whether the URL contains ‘…/mobile/viewa.aspx…’.
In addition, after disabling Mobile view feature, please clear the browsing history, then compare the result.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Wendy

SharePoint 2013 cannot view PDF documents in mobile browser with office web apps
Hi,
I'm receiving the following error when viewing SharePoint 2013 PDF documents in a mobile browser after clicking on the filename:
"Viewing of .pdf files has been disabled in Microsoft Word Mobile Viewer. Please get in touch with your helpdesk."
My Question
Is viewing PDF documents in mobile browsers with Office Web Apps SP1 actually supported? If so, how can I enable it? I've already have pdf viewing working in non-mobile browsers. Word documents open just fine on mobile browsers too.
I'm getting conflicting answers for pdf mobile viewing support from various sources:
You've got Microsoft toting that they've added in PDF viewing on any device for Office Web Apps
http://blogs.office.com/2013/07/03/pdfs-in-the-word-web-app/
A MS support person saying saying it is not supported
http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_web_apps_server_2013_support_blog/archive/2013/12/31/enabling-pdf-previews-in-document-libraries-with-office-web-apps-2013-in-sharepoint-2013-open-link-does-not-work-from-preview.aspx
Another person implying that it should work because you can disable pdf browsing for mobile browsers only
http://blogs.technet.com/b/office_resource_kit/archive/2013/07/24/control-whether-pdfs-open-in-word-web-app-or-the-default-pdf-reader.aspx
What I've tried
When I started looking into this there was a mobile WOPI entry:
Application : WordPdf
Extension : PDF
ProgId :
Action : mobileView
IsDefaultAction : False
ServerName : 20SP8
WopiZone : internal-http
I tried experimenting with tweaking this binding by changing the DefaultAction to true, and even removing it altogether via:
Get-SPWopiBinding -Action "MobileView" -Application "WordPDF" | Remove-SPWopiBinding -Confirm:$false
But I still get the same message.
I removed all the WordPdf bindings and re-added them via:
New-SPWOPIBinding –ServerName "<myserver>" –Application "WordPDF" -AllowHTTP
No dice. In fact the mobileview binding doesn't even come back... but I guess that is a different issue altogether.
Version
SharePoint 2013 (SP1)
Office Web Apps Server (SP1)
Farm Setup
Internal facing only
2 front end servers, 1 app server, 1 office web apps serverI think the PDF support, if it exists, in only in Office 365. Always remember that the Office 365 and on premises versions will never be in sync. On premise is updated using periodic service packs and Office 365 has continuous updates. (I've heard every
10 days.)
In my Office 365 / IE 10 tests, the PDFs open in the browser's default PDF viewer, in my case FoxIt Reader. So I can't prove one way or the other about support in Office Web Apps.

Does any one know how to Disable/Hide "BCC" from outlook/owa in office 365?
Hi,
Does any one know how to Disable/Hide "BCC" from outlook/owa in office 365?
Thank You.Hi Kavin,
You can try the below steps on the OWA server box,
search for this file name in explorer
File name: "messageoptionsdialog.aspx"
open this file in notepad
search for "chkbcc" you'll find something like this "input type="checkbox" id="chkBcc"
you need to update the LINE BEFORE IT to <td style="visibility:hidden">
Try this and let me now if this worked
Although I've not tried this for the OUTLOOK client, you can try this and check if you need
But this has worked for OWA for one of my client
I'm also not very sure if this can be achieved on all of your outlook users from a server admin point of view, coz this is a client feature and not a user specific active directory attribute.
Thanks & Regards

In on premise Exchange server (Local Exchange) i want send the email using custom address like [FAX:name@/FN=333] from
Outlook Web App(OWA), while clicking on send button i got the error like "The message can't be sent because at least one recipient isn't valid." so i am unable to submit the email from OWA.
but i am able to send the email using custom address like [FAX:name@/FN=333] from Outlook Web App(OWA) of Office 365 exchange server.
what is difference b/w Local Exchange server OWA & Office 365 OWA?
is there any configuration changes needed for Local exchange server?
so How to disable the searching contacts functionality(auto complete) & error message in OWA of Local exchange server?Hi,
What’s your Exchange environment? Exchange 2010 co-existing with Exchange 2013? Can you share your related transport rule here for more analysis? What’s your custom email address format?
I created a custom address like Fax:Winnie@/FN=333 in my tab environment, it returned an error about “The address ‘Fax:Winnie@/FN=333’ is not a valid SMTP address”. Please update your Global Address List in Exchange server and if there is any error log,
please provide more information for further analysis.
Thanks,
