How to disable Scroller bounce/pull effect

I have a Scroller with VGroup as viewport in one of my app built with Flex 4.5. I have some long label texts inside the VGroup. As you scroll down and release, it bounces back to top of the page. I would like to have a normal scrolling where the page stays at new scrolled position. How can it be done?

It sounds like the contentHeight and height of your viewport are equal so no scrolling is actually needed.  Make sure you have a height set on your VGroup.

This is the other discussion: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4518765#4518765
I've tried to lower the quality, and with pure magic, it now works, even when I put highest quality. I don't understand what happened. I asked you how to disable openGL because they told me to in the last discussion. So, thank you for repairing my problem (I think you repaired it, i'll make tests to see). Just in case, could you verify if it's posible to disable openGL like the other person told me?

  • NB100 - How to disable scroll function?

On a new NB100, Everytime I use the scroll bar in Internet explorer two pointing arrows appear in front of the pointer and disrupt the scroll function of the side bar. I was unable to turn it off or find where it is coming from. I would appreciate any information how to disable it and what it is.

Look in the Advanced Touchpad settings for scrolling configurations, go to Control Panel->Mouse->Advanced

  • Matrix Edit:  How to disable scrolling thru unseen controller data?

I use key commands in the matrix window to navigate, select notes, move them, transpose them, change their length etc.
Upon upgrading from logic 4.7 I find that Logic now scrolls one by one through controller data like mod wheel events that I CAN"T EVEN SEE on the matrix page!
Why this is useful is beyond me, and it ruins my workflow. I would like to know:
a.) why this is useful and how people are taking advantage of this new feature.
b.) how do I disable it so logic only selects notes?

Matrix, it would be helpful if you added the version of Logic you're running to your profile. This is important because the behavior of various Logic functions differs between 7.1.x and 7.2.x.
Not listing this info results in the inevitable question that needs to be answered before constructive advice can be offered... "What verison of Logic are you running?"

  • ITunes 8: How to Disable Page Load Sound Effect on Vista

I tried looking around the site for some answers to get rid of the annoying sound effect after a page loads in iTunes 8 on Windows Vista, but didn't see any. After looking in Vista and playing around with some settings, I have found the answer!
    Vista users:
    1. Right click on your desktop, and then go all the way down and click "Personalize"
    2. Click "Sounds"
    3. Scroll down until you see the iTunes category.
    4. Click the "Page load complete" sound and then change the sound (bottom left of the window) to (None).
    Annoying sound DISABLED.
    Hope this helps!

    Thank you.
I recently switched to a new laptop running Vista (from XP) and this was driving me mad.
This ought to be auomatically disabled when playing music as it's really annoying!
    Thanks again.

  • How to disable "Confirm Bounce" warning dialog

I try to bounce every single piece of junk mail I get, but Mail always puts up a warninng dialog when I do so. How do I turn that warning dialog off?
    Thanks,
    Shaun

    dunno,
but something related: bouncing is useless... Most sender addresses on spam (>90%) are not real addresses, OR they belong to an innocent person whose email address is being abused. This person will get all those bounces.
Secondly, if you closely study the (full) headers of a REAL bounce and a FAKE bounce from mail.app (and I did this), then you can see that it is fake... (look at x-mailer, smtp server, message route, etc). What does this tell any smart spammer? That you care enough to send a fake bounce! > prepare to receive even more spam...
So my unsolicited advise to you is: do not bounce. But of course it's up to you.
    Cheers,
    feddeg

  • Mavericks: disable rubber band scroll bouncing

Now that I have to use Mavericks every day in the office, the insipid rubber band scroll bouncing is simply maddening.
It's distracting, annoying, useless and a constant drain on focus.
Please, for the love of cute puppies, does anyone know how to turn this off?
Sadly, defaults write -g NSScrollViewRubberBanding -int 0 has no effect in Mavericks, while it did before in previous OSes.
Honestly, just a setting to turn off all the sliding, popping, jumping, darting, swooping graphics and cascading NSOutlineViews would make me actually enjoy using the Mac again.
I want to get work done, not get distracted by excess motion all over my screen.
    Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?

I have tried multiple terminal commands as well. It worked for Chrome, but my Mail messages are driving me nuts bouncing all over the place! There must be way to turn this off!
Just tried Tinker Tools which is supposed to remove bounce in all apps (except Safari) and it didn't work for Mail either. It's almost unuseable this way unless I want a headache after reading 5 messages.  Stupid Apple.

  • How to disable the "turn page" event triggered by the scroll/swipe function?

    The problem is as follows.
The default behaviour of Acrobat Reader (both stand alone and browser plug-in) is to allow scrolling/swiping with the mouse wheel/trackpad. This is useful when the pdf's page length is greater than the screen's own length, because you can read the pdf with no need to distract your attention from the text to the scrollbar button. However, the same scroll/swipe function turns into a usability problem when the pdf is embedded in a html page and the pdf's page length is smaller than the browser's length. In this case, the scroll/swipe turns the page, distracting your attention from the text to the unintended behaviour of the browser. What happens is that you are so used to scrolling/swiping that you did it unintentionally in the pdf's caption area. You really did not want to turn pages in the pdf. Furthermore, if the pdf takes the whole html page, being a website, the scroll/swipe function flips the website pages in ways that neither the reader nor the writer had ever intended. Hence the question. How to disable, in this case, the "turn page" event triggered by the scroll/swipe function? A JavaScript should do, but the SDK documents did not help so far...

Hello, if you're talking about disabling Java in say Safari...
Safari>Preferences>Security>uncheck/Disable Java in your Browser settings, not JavaScript.

  • How can i disable scrolling on firefox mobile ?

I want to disable scrolling for my responsive website, when a colorbox (like a lightbox) is layered over the page (as div, not as iframe).
Scrolling should only be available for the colorbox-div, but not for body or html.
Therefore, I set "html" and/or "body" to "overflow:hidden" with the help of jquery. That works in chromium mobile and in the desktop versions of FF and chromium, but I can't figure out why I still have the scrollbar in Firefox on Android.
Is this a know 'problem'? What can I do?

  • How to disable spacebar scrolling

The question of how to disable spacebar scrolling is discussed on these pages:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/935601
    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=722865&start=0
The solution given is to use the Keyconfig extension to reassign the use of the spacebar. However, the instructions are somewhat incomplete.
After finally getting it to work, I wanted to elaborate on the instructions. (Since those topics are closed, I'm starting a new one.)
<pre>1. Install the Keyconfig extension from this page:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyconfig_extension
    2. Make sure the Firefox Menu Bar is visible.
    3. From the Tools Menu, select Keyconfig.
    4. Click the Add a new key button.
    5. In the Name fleld, type a name for the keyboard shortcut, such as "Spacebar."
    6. To make this apply to all pages, click the Global checkbox.
    7. Click OK.
    8. In the Keyconfig main window, select the new shortcut, such as "Spacebar."
    9. Click where it says <Disabled>, and type a space. The term <VK_SPACE> appears.
    10. Click Apply.
    11. Click Close.</pre>

    Thank you shmuel67!
I will document this when I have time: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/disable-spacebar-scrolling-keyconfig/history

  • How to disable the "scroll lock" pointer?

I use 2-finger swipe to scroll on my trackpad.
I often get my pointer transformed into a scrolling pointer: it is gray circle about 1 cm in diameter, with a small white circle in the middle, 1 small arrow tip pointing down below the circle and 1 arrow tip pointing up above the circle.
This happens mostly when I touch the trackpad with 2 fingers, like when I am about to scroll with 2-finger gesture.
If I could post a png image I would but that is about as accurate as I could describe it.
When it appears, it locks the scrolling (with 1 finger swipe it keeps scrolling in the direction of the swipe).
This is very annoying because it interferes with the 2-finger scrolling.
Sometimes I get a "move" pointer (same as the one a above but arrow tips in all 4 directions).
Does anybody know what this "feature" is called and how to disable it?
    Thanks

    Hi,
The Scrollbar in the activeX browser is the property of the page being loaded and not the container.
If you have access to editing the HTML files that you are loading, add the following line in the html document:
If you don't have write access to the html files, then you can cover the scroll area of the activeX container with another activeX container. You can't use a decoration to cover it since the activeX container will remain on top.
    I hope this helps.
