How to disable server properties DEMOTION on Word document.
Hi everyone.
For business requirements, we must work with custom Word document properties, instead of the server ones. The first promotion of these document properties to fields in the SharePoint library is very useful, but when the document is downloaded to launch a
new version, we want to avoid the server properties demotion, because when we upload this new Word document version, SharePoint promotes the "old" server properties, instead of the new document properties from the new version.
How can avoid this demotion of the server properties?
Thanks in advance.
Fernando.

How to export a PDF to a word document? at the moment it came up with "The encoding (CMap) specified by a font is missing ????? what can I do? thanks
Hi frenchiem,
This is due to the PDF file cannot display the original fonts. To fix it, creator should create the PDF file with the embed font option enabled. Thus, user can open the file on any platform with the same layout. Or the Acrobat product can display them after you install the appropriate font support package on the client side.

The laserjet 1020 only has manual duplexing capabilities. Please refer to this document for a complete set of instructions.

hello! how can i put and read my words documents in the notes pad of my ipod nano 3trd generation?thanks to all.
The Notes features of the 3G iPod Nano only supports TXT files and not Word Documents. If you want to be able to read these word documents, you'll need to copy the text from each over to a text file. See here for more information.
iPod: Storing and reading notes
Keep in mind that each txt file has a limit of 4096 characters. See this article for more information as well.

how can i convert New Microsoft Office Word Document to adobe
Hi itchigo,
You can use Microsoft Word's inbuilt feature of converting the doc to pdf by simply selecting Save As> 'pdf doc format' from the drop down.
Please refer: http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/word-help/save-as-pdf-HA010354239.aspx#BM11
Adobe Reader does not have the capability of converting docs to pdf or vice versa. It can only be used to read pdf files.

How to disable server name indication
I want to turn off SNI (server name indication) but I didn't find the right option. I could only disable TLS and use SSL to achieve this. I set the value of "security.tls.version.max" to 0.
I am looking for a way to have TLS while disabling server name indication extension.Under Tools → Options → Advanced → Encryption, make sure you have "Use TLS 1.0" enabled. This is off by default in older versions of Firefox.

How to co-athoring with macro enable Word documents (.docm)
I´m working with a prototype-installation of SharePoint 2010 where co-authoring is an important function.
But I have found one problem however.
According to the following article co-authoring is not supported for macro enabled word-files (.docm ):
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/document-collaboration-and-co-authoring-HA101812148.aspx
1. Does anyone know what the plans are regarding this issue, will docm and co-athoring be supported in the near future?
2. Are there any workarounds available to handle macro and co-authoring at the same time?
Björn
Found the solution!
Store a macro enable Word-template (.dotm) in the Sharepoint library and save the created Word document in non macro enable format (.docx).
The document vill keep the connection to the template and all the macros will work together with co-athoring!
BjörnHere's a followup to Bjorn's original post:
Save a copy of the .dotm as a .docx, in the SharePoint team lib where your users will be working.
Next, create a a new doc lib with a nice short name such as "a" (to keep path short) on the site that holds your team's doc lib, and move the .dotm file there. Then, right click on the .dotm's name to Get File Properties and copy
the path to the .dotm file. The path might look something like this:
https://win.MyCompany.com/TeamSite/a/myfile.docm.
Now that you have the path to the .dotm, go back and edit its .doc version, that you created in the Team Lib. In the Developer tab in the ribbon, click on DOCUMENT TEMPLATE. The Templates and Add-ins dialog will appear. PASTE the path,
above, into the Document Template field.
Now your .docx knows the path to the .dotm, and since your users can access both locations, the macro in the .docx will still work OK...and your working doc lib won't be junked up with the .dotm version. -

</slo>If I understand your question correctly, the discussion in this thread
ORA-31167: 64k size limit for XML node
shows you do not have a lot of options.
As you are needing to extract the contents of a node from an XML document, and that node is > 64K, you are going to need to treat the entire XML as a CLOB and use CLOB functionality (aka INSTR, SUBSTR) to find and extract what you need.
Once your DB version is 11.1 or greater, then you can use the built-in that Billy mentions.
