How to disable Unicode in SMS messages (Nokia 6670...

Hello.
I've bought N6670 and the first thing I want to change, is to disable Unicode charset in SMS messages. I use T9 dictionary, so the Unicode special charset is enabled (I'm from Poland, so there is a lot of special chars).
But - of course - message with special chars is bigger, so the phone sends for example 2 messages, instead of one.
Is it any chance to turn of sending special chars?
Regards
R.

Hello,
We use such messages in transliterate characters. As example, privet.
That's the easiest way.

The iOS settings for the iPhone 3 never had an option to determine how long you wanted to save messages. That settings is new to iOS8. As far as some being deleted, there is nothing about the phone that should delete messages without some user intervention. Try a reset on the phone, this will not affect your data. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.

how to view backed up SMS messages in itunes or on my pc

If they are included in the iTunes backup, you do not view them.  iTunes backups are not viewable, they are intended solely for restoring to an iOS device.
If the device has been used as designed and the pictures were regularly copied off the device to the computer, look in the folders where you put them.
If the device has been used as designed and contacts were synced with a supported application on the computer or a cloud service, look in that application or cloud service.

how to recover the deleted SMS message, Contacts, CallHistory and Photos from ipad.

If you did the backup of your data before deleting then you can easily get back the data by the following steps:
    1. First don’t connect your iPad directly to computer because the iTunes only saves the most recent backup
    2. Now make sure that you have a valid backup as listed iTunes> preferences> devices
    3. Before connecting your iPad make sure to check iTunes>preferences> devices "prevent iPad from syncing automatically." Because this will ensures we don't erase the previously stored backup. Then select ok and close the window after checking " don't sync"
    4. Now connect your iPad to your computer .
    5. Select the iPad as seen in the left bar of iTunes, as listed under the devices .
    6. Select version and click on restore from options.
    7. It takes a while to for iPad to erase itself, reset and restart.
    8. After the iPad is restart you will see Set Up Your iPad in iTunes on your computer, and now just click the restore from the backup and click continue. It will take 10 to 12 minutes to recover your data from iPad, including the deleted sms, notes, photos, music, contacts etc.

  • How i can recover deleted sms from nokia 3603

    Hi
can any one help how to recover deleted sms from nokia 3603. any idea
    please i need your support?
    does Nokia provide this service?
    please hellllllllllp me
    thanks all

Unfortunately it's not possible for the user or nokia to recover deleted messages.
If you haven't been using the phone you could google for data recovery services in your country but they are not cheap. Also the process of recovering the data will most likely destroy the phone. If you've been using the phone for SMS messages then it's most likely too late for specialists to recover them.

  • How can I send an SMS message to a group?

I cannot seem to figure out how to add a second recipient to the SMS message. I routinely beep out messages to the 5 people I work with, I'd hate to send it out to each separately.

At this time, multiple recipient SMS messaging is not supported on the iPhone.

  • How can i save sent sms messages C5-00

I cant see any sent sms messages on my phone. How do I set this up?

They should be stored locally on the phone in the Sent folder (Mail, scroll down past inboxes, select Account, see Sent folder). But that's all.
IMAP is really a better setup than POP if you are accessing from multiple places, but if IMAP isn't possible, the usual approach is to tell the phone to BCC you on all your sent mail (Settings, Mail, scroll down past the Accounts, tap ON for "always BCC myself").

  • How do I transfer my SMS/Messages from my Mac to my iPhone (and not vice versa)?

Alright I couldn't find anything on this on the internet. My iPhone had a problem so I had it sent to Apple. It came back today and obviously all of my stuff is deleted. Before sending it to Apple I had done a backup of course. I have synced my iPhone with this backup now and everything seems to be there again - except the reminders and my messages. It's not bad about the reminders as I have written them down somewhere, for the time the phone was in repair, but all these nostalgic messages - well, I would love to get these back. I have an iOS Folder somewhere on my mac, with another folder called "SMS" with sms.db in there. I think I copied this from an earlier backup when I upgraded to iOS 5, so some messages may miss, but I don't know where the actual SMS from the last backup (before sent to repair) were saved.
I heard it's in User/Library and this is where my path ends because I do not have this folder, I only have a library folder in "Macintosh HD" on my Mac, and if I go further in this one, there isn't anything to find their either.
So yeah - basically, how do I get all these SMS back on the iPhone now?
    All help is appreciated!
    Greets

Thanks, it worked. I had to sync it with the backup I had made back in October when I upgraded to iOS 5, because I couldn't find the backup I had made before I sent it to Apple. Is it possible that it was overwritten when I plugged my iPhone, is that what this option in the iTunes preferences is for?
If so, then I recommend to anyone who has the same issue to make sure it is disabled before even connecting the iPhone, or it will be overwritten.
    Thanks again for the help!

  • How to change reject call SMS message text

    Hello everyone
Some time ago I bought a Nokia N9 and one feature I use frequently is reject calls sending a message.
In other Nokia phones (symbian) you can change the message text in options section, but in this phone I can find how to change it.
Do anyone know how to change this message?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Amit,
This can be done easily, if it showing the data of a view object then you can change the value of view attribute.
Suppose a column in VO I say rank fetches value as 1,2,3 then in vo query to append L1,L2....
Suppose I have quary like select rank from xx_table then I can change it to select 'L'||rank from xx_table.
I hope this will resolve your problem.

  • How to disable buffering of similar messages in syslog?

    Hi All,
    Following is my system details:
    SunOS mocm 5.10 Generic_138888-03 sun4v sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-T200
On this system I see that, similar messages passed to syslog are suppressed after the first entry and only the count of the number of times that message got repeated is printed. However I want all the logs to be printed even if they have same content.
Here is what I am getting now:
    +Jul 13 12:01:54 mocm Application[26103]: [ID 441523 local1.notice] xxWriting from stub+
Jul 13 12:01:54 mocm last message repeated 1 time
    +Jul 13 12:02:45 mocm Application[2845]: [ID 188083 local1.notice] Writing from stub+
Jul 13 12:02:45 mocm last message repeated 2 times
    +Jul 13 12:02:56 mocm Application[4485]: [ID 441523 local1.notice] xxWriting from stub+
Jul 13 12:02:56 mocm last message repeated 7 times
and this is what I want:
    +Jul 13 12:01:54 mocm Application[26103]: [ID 441523 local1.notice] xxWriting from stub+
    +Jul 13 12:01:54 mocm Application[26103]: [ID 441523 local1.notice] xxWriting from stub+

    +Jul 13 12:02:45 mocm Application[2845]: [ID 188083 local1.notice] Writing from stub+
    +Jul 13 12:02:45 mocm Application[2845]: [ID 188083 local1.notice] Writing from stub+
Is there a way I can configure syslogd to print all the log messages instead of buffering similar messages.
    Thanks in advance for replies.

To disable automatic grouping of duplicate messages, quit Mail then run this command in Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.mail AlwaysShowDuplicates -bool true
To revert to the default setting, run this command:
defaults write com.apple.mail AlwaysShowDuplicates -bool false
or simply delete the setting altogether with this command:
         defaults delete com.apple.mail AlwaysShowDuplicates
If you want to see how Mail behaves with this setting enabled, but without modifying your preference file, start Mail from Terminal with this command:
         /Applications/Mail.app/Contents/MacOS/Mail -AlwaysShowDuplicates YES
I learned of Mail's modifiability (is that a word?) from here:
         http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=2004101603285984
    and here:
         http://erikslab.com/2007/07/16/os-x-mailapp-logging/
I found the AlwaysShowDuplicates option by looking for interesting words similar to 'duplicates' in the Mail executable like this:
              strings /Applications/Mail.app/Contents/MacOS/Mail | grep -i duplicat
