  • How to disassemble dv5 1144el

    Hello,
I've got some thermal problems with my Pavilion Dv5 1144el: the temperature of the CPU is about 80°C (intel centrino2) even if there are no processes running. I wish to know if could be a good idea to disassemble the notebook trying to remove dust from the fan.
I asked for help to the HP contact center, but the product guarantee has already expired: I need some schemes that can let me able to disassemble my DV5 1144el and to remove the dust.
    Thank you.

Here is the Maintenance and Service Manual for your series.

  • How to disassemble Satellite L550-11H?

    Hi,
Like the tittle says, I would like to know how to disassemble my laptop.
I tried to remove all the screws but the damn bottom plastic didn't separate it self from the top plastic.
Has anyone had this problem before?

    Hi buddy,
For removing dust its really not necassary to disassemble the notebook because this can be done with compressed air spray. This spray can blow out the dust from cooling ventilators very easy and its cheap. You need only 5 minutes of your time. ;)
Check also this interesting article about cleaning the notebook:
[How to clean the cooling system of a Toshiba notebook|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD7A01ZZ000AR01.htm]
But let me give you a word of advice: Cleaning to remove dust is not covered by warranty so you must pay for this if you dont do it yourself!

  • How to disassemble a 7942 phone / clean hook switch

    Hello,
does anyone have a guide how to disassemble a 7942/62 phone without damaging it?
Would be nice to know for example to clean the phone or to repair / replace hook switch.
    Thanks,
    Bernhard

    Hi Bernhard,
I just took apart a broken 7942 to test the method, but
it seems like they may have changed the design at some point
as this one had 9 screws on the back and a plastic clip on the side
housing to the left of the Hookswitch. It seems like your 7942 may be
more like the method described here

    Cheers!

Please refer to the steps below:
    1. Place the system horizontally on a flat and steady surface. Locate the two
screws that secure the stand. Unlock them and keep them for later use.
    2. Push to remove the stand carefully and set it aside for later use.
    3. Locate the ODD and its emergency eject hole.
    4. Insert a pin or unfolded paper clip into the hole and push the pin firmly until the disk compartment opens.
    5. Pull out the disk compartment and carefully detach the front bezel hooks.
    6. Push the disk compartment gently backwards until it closes.

  • How to disassemble the Camileo S10?

I would like to hack the S10 to solve 2 problems:
    1) Put a wide angle adaptor
Actually it is almost impossible, but removing the plastic part in front of objective allow to access to cylindrical part of it and fix a wide angle adaptor
2)I need to fit the S10 on a RC model to keeping the camera in horizontal position instead of vertical.
I successfully start to disassemble the camera removing the plastic black middle where the battery is located.
I stop because I have no ideas how to unmount the video display
Anyone have a link to Toshiba Service manual of the Camileo S10 or have an idea how to dissasemble it ?

    Hi
I think disassembling a Camileo is not so easy and should only be done from an expert.
If something is wrong with your camera you should go to the nearest authorized service provider. The technicians can disassemble it for you and they have such service manuals I think.

  • How to disassemble, repair and upgrade Toshiba notebooks.

I was looking for info on how to upgrade the hard disk drive on my Satellite 1800-814 when I came across this website so thought I'd post it here for everyone. It seems to be exactly what I've been looking for, and not just for the Satellite but for other models as well.
    http://www.irisvista.com/tech/index.htm
I apologise if it's been posted here before but I reckon it's worth a second mention anyway.

    Hi exseadog,
thanks for that very nice info.
Just a little advice for all guys out there:
Never disassemble a machine that still has warranty.
And also don't do it, if you don't have any experience on that. It's not always as easy as it seems.
    Bye

  • Tecra A8: How to disassemble the keyboard?

I'd like to disassemble keyboard in my Tecra A8. Is there any disassembly guide on the web?

    Hi
I dont think that you will find any manuals which describe the keyboard removing procedure. Such manuals are not official documents and only for the service partner usage.
But in my knowledge the removing of the keyboards is not very difficult.
There should be a thin cover above the keyboard. This cover masks 2 screws which secure the keyboard. You have to remove the cover and the screws careful.
Then it should be possible to remove the keyboard.
But be careful, the keyboard is connected with the short, flat cable to the main board.

  • How to disassemble LCD

    Hello.
ifixit only shows how to remove the entire lid off the laptop (LCD included) with the hinge, which I have done.
    Here:
    http://www.screentekinc.com/lcd-removal-instructions_en,macbookpro,step2.shtml
they show you how to do it with 15" MBP. I removed the two small screws, but I cannot pry the back off, at least not with the amount of force I am using.
Should I pry harder, or are the 17" different, as another forum seemed to suggest?
    Thank you,
    MaW

Handy maybe if anyone else is a little unsure.
(They are pretty much all the same)

  • How to Disassemble Varying Multiple Repeating Records from Single Row

I have a flat file that has hundreds of thousands of rows.  Each row is a new record.
On each row there are about 23 elements that occur once per row and then there are two groups of 4-6 fields each group that repeat a certain number of times.  There is an integer field before each group that indicates how many times the group repeats
0 or greater.  An few examples rows are the following.
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|0|0
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|1|b|b|b|b|0
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|2|b|b|b|b|c|c|c|c|0
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|2|b|b|b|b|c|c|c|c|1|d|d|d|d|d|d
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|2|b|b|b|b|c|c|c|c|2|d|d|d|d|d|d|e|e|e|e|e|e
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|0|1|b|b|b|b|b|b
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|0|2|b|b|b|b|b|b|c|c|c|c|c|c
I'd rather not do a custom pipeline if possible unless there is something already written.
    thanks in advance.

Thank you for the quick response.  Would rather stick in biztalk if possible.
I was able to get something like this to process through no problem.
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|1|b|b|b|b
    a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|a|0
Just using and unbounded record with the group order type set to sequence. each row could have 0 to hundreds
of groups.  And I've been able to process files with millions of rows.
I'm wondering if there is a way to check the integer number in order to tell the group how many records
    there will be?
Sucks that it is all the same delimiter.

  • How to disassemble NvRaid Array

I'm currently running a NvRAID array (level 1) that I'd like to disassemble; the boot partition (Windows XP Pro) is stored within the array, too.
What's the recommended procedure to disassemble the array?
Can I just disable RAID in the BIOS and boot off one of the drives, and format the other?

"Can I just disable RAID in the BIOS and boot off one of the drives, and format the other?"
yes, for RAID1 should be possible.

  • How to disassemble Purity Pro?

    Hi,
Bought my headset around two years ago. Recently managed to scratch quite nastily black piano paint on the top of the headset. Unfortunately Nokia Care does not support any repairs – they just send it to somewhere (China most likely) and get replacement.
Financially makes no sense so came up with an idea to paint them. It’s just one piece, shiny black so should not be a problem. Now we hit a question – have you ever tried to disassemble Purity Pro?
    See the picture.
Can easily unscrew metal pieces with NOKIA logo
Part B seems to be easy to remove
However, part A seems to be a challenge – stick quite hardly
If I’m done with those two then rest should be relatively straightforward.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to disassemble Satellite P850-321 notebook?

Can anyone explain to me how to remove the keyboard please, i have removed all but 3 screws on the underside of the laptop as the 3 remaining screws dont seem to want to come out!? I can tighten them but unscrewing them seems to be the problem... are they screws that undo but dont come out like the back plate covering?
I have removed all the hardware such as HDD, RAM, wireless card and ODD.
I need to get to the FAN as that needs replacing.
    Cheers
    Alan.

    Hi thanks for your reply...
yeah i know it would void the warranty, however it is out of warranty anyway, i am a Computer technitian. i managed to get the keyboard out this morning.
do you have any ideas why the laptop comes up with the warning message to get a service because of overheating?
i have cleared a very small amount of dust from the fan. i have removed and reseated the fan and since then, the message has not come up. i ran tons of applications to try and get the message to come up again to no avail which to my understanding and diagnosis the issue is fixed.
however, since this is a customers laptop i want to make sure the problem is fixed.
there seems to be a huge number of people with the same problem when they get a warning message and is a fault of toshiba and something to do with "value added packages/applications" software.
i couldn't find this software at all and the laptop itself is very clean.
    thank you for your help.
    Alan (Computer Technician)
