How to disassemble LCD

Hello.
ifixit only shows how to remove the entire lid off the laptop (LCD included) with the hinge, which I have done.
Here:
http://www.screentekinc.com/lcd-removal-instructions_en,macbookpro,step2.shtml
they show you how to do it with 15" MBP. I removed the two small screws, but I cannot pry the back off, at least not with the amount of force I am using.
Should I pry harder, or are the 17" different, as another forum seemed to suggest?
Thank you,
MaW

Handy maybe if anyone else is a little unsure.
(They are pretty much all the same)

  • How to disassemble dv5 1144el

    Hello,
I've got some thermal problems with my Pavilion Dv5 1144el: the temperature of the CPU is about 80°C (intel centrino2) even if there are no processes running. I wish to know if could be a good idea to disassemble the notebook trying to remove dust from the fan.
I asked for help to the HP contact center, but the product guarantee has already expired: I need some schemes that can let me able to disassemble my DV5 1144el and to remove the dust.
    Thank you.

  • How to disassemble Satellite L550-11H?

    Hi,
Like the tittle says, I would like to know how to disassemble my laptop.
I tried to remove all the screws but the damn bottom plastic didn't separate it self from the top plastic.
Has anyone had this problem before?

    Hi buddy,
For removing dust its really not necassary to disassemble the notebook because this can be done with compressed air spray. This spray can blow out the dust from cooling ventilators very easy and its cheap. You need only 5 minutes of your time. ;)
Check also this interesting article about cleaning the notebook:
[How to clean the cooling system of a Toshiba notebook|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD7A01ZZ000AR01.htm]
But let me give you a word of advice: Cleaning to remove dust is not covered by warranty so you must pay for this if you dont do it yourself!

  • How to disassemble a 7942 phone / clean hook switch

    Hello,
does anyone have a guide how to disassemble a 7942/62 phone without damaging it?
Would be nice to know for example to clean the phone or to repair / replace hook switch.
    Thanks,
    Bernhard

    Hi Bernhard,
I just took apart a broken 7942 to test the method, but
it seems like they may have changed the design at some point
as this one had 9 screws on the back and a plastic clip on the side
housing to the left of the Hookswitch. It seems like your 7942 may be
more like the method described here

  • How to disassemble the Camileo S10?

I would like to hack the S10 to solve 2 problems:
    1) Put a wide angle adaptor
Actually it is almost impossible, but removing the plastic part in front of objective allow to access to cylindrical part of it and fix a wide angle adaptor
2)I need to fit the S10 on a RC model to keeping the camera in horizontal position instead of vertical.
I successfully start to disassemble the camera removing the plastic black middle where the battery is located.
I stop because I have no ideas how to unmount the video display
Anyone have a link to Toshiba Service manual of the Camileo S10 or have an idea how to dissasemble it ?

    Hi
I think disassembling a Camileo is not so easy and should only be done from an expert.
If something is wrong with your camera you should go to the nearest authorized service provider. The technicians can disassemble it for you and they have such service manuals I think.

  • How to disassemble, repair and upgrade Toshiba notebooks.

I was looking for info on how to upgrade the hard disk drive on my Satellite 1800-814 when I came across this website so thought I'd post it here for everyone. It seems to be exactly what I've been looking for, and not just for the Satellite but for other models as well.
    http://www.irisvista.com/tech/index.htm
I apologise if it's been posted here before but I reckon it's worth a second mention anyway.

    Hi exseadog,
thanks for that very nice info.
Just a little advice for all guys out there:
Never disassemble a machine that still has warranty.
And also don't do it, if you don't have any experience on that. It's not always as easy as it seems.
    Bye

    2) I wanted to give an effect of an LCD look, is that possible? By that I mean like instead of filming a website from my monitor, what can give it tha tlook like an LCD grid or something.
    3) I am thinking of creating a menu and wanted to add like a rolling fog on the top layer of a menu. I've never created a menu in Premiere, is that possible?

    Edgar, please provide
these details to help us help you.

  • How to configure LCDS 2.5.1 make use of Flex 3.0 SDK?

    Hi,
I deployed LCDS 2.5.1 version which uses Flex 2.0 by default. Now i want to use Flex 3.0 with this LCDS. How to configure it? I tried to configure by modifying the library path and source path which points to Flex 3.0 SDK library and source path from the following file,
    {WAS_INSTALLED_PATH}\flex_war.ear\flex.war\WEB-INF\flex\flex-config.xml
But it is not working properly. Can anyone please help me, how to change Flex 3.0 SDK lookup for LCDS 2.5.1?
    Thanks,
    Murali Sankar Muthaiah

You can download the Flex 3 compiler for J2EE applications and update the <br />compiler with the bits contained in that web application.<br /><br />  http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Downloads<br /><br />Note that moving forward (LCDS 2.6 - in beta now) the MXML compiler will not <br />come with LCDS at all.  It is now part of the SDK and must be configured <br />'manually' if you want to use it.<br /><br />Probably the better thing to do is to compile your application with <br />FlexBuilder 3 instead of the web tier compiler, you will have much more <br />control over which Flex SDK you are using - plus you get a good IDE!<br /><br />--<br />Tom Jordahl<br /><br /><[email protected]> wrote in message <br />news:[email protected]..<br />> Hi,<br />><br />> I deployed LCDS 2.5.1 version which uses Flex 2.0 by default. • How to connect LCD monitors to MBP?

    Hi there
I am setting up my music studio step by step and I have two MBP which I would like to connect to an LCD. (in the future I will connect them to 2-MacMinis)
What do I have to consider to keep in mind before purchasing a LCD? Which suits and works best with Mac? And how do I setup the LCD to display what is displayed on my Mac and to use it as an assitional "screening" (as in dragging items to the LCD)?
What possible way is there to connect two LCDs on one MBP?
By the way I have one MacBook Pro 13" Unibody & MacBook Pro 15".

  • How to enable LCD sensor in Satellite C850-B374 after BIOS update?

    Hi, friends
I m currently a satisfied Toshiba customer since april 2013. I have been using laptops since 2007 having used various brands I found Toshiba to be good one.
I have recently updated the Bios from 6.0 to 6.50 from the Toshiba service station.
Update was successful and the computer works fine.

    Ashik

    >How to enable the lcd sensor to automatically boot while i open the lcd
You want to boot up the notebook by opening the lid. Right?
In this case you have to enable the option within the Windows 8 system settings
[Why does my Windows 8 notebook start automatically when opening the display lid?|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ2C03FA0001R01.htm]
You have to look for the option called: +Panel Open - Power On" feature+
This option needs to be enabled in order to boot up the computer automatically when the display lid is open

  • Tecra A8: How to disassemble the keyboard?

I'd like to disassemble keyboard in my Tecra A8. Is there any disassembly guide on the web?

    Hi
I dont think that you will find any manuals which describe the keyboard removing procedure. Such manuals are not official documents and only for the service partner usage.
But in my knowledge the removing of the keyboards is not very difficult.
There should be a thin cover above the keyboard. This cover masks 2 screws which secure the keyboard. You have to remove the cover and the screws careful.
Then it should be possible to remove the keyboard.
But be careful, the keyboard is connected with the short, flat cable to the main board.
