How to display duplicate key in web report?

Hi Experts,
Can anybody tell me how to display duplicate key in web report?
I know in the Bex analyzer, we can allow the duplicate key to be dispalyed via the 'query property' by right click, and in the 'display option' tab, there is an option which named 'forbid duplicate key', if we don't select this option, the duplicate key will be dispalyed in the report result in BEx analyzer.
But how can I do this in Web report? Thanks in advance.

check if the infoobject is kept as lang dependent or not for material text, else you need to create a masterdata attribute with text and lang keys and do corresponding mapping, so then it can be displayed in your report

How to Display INR format in WEBI 4.X reports

Hello All,
I have a requirement to display the amount in WEBI report as INR format i.e 1,00,00,000.00.
I tried to create a custom number format at report level as #,##,##,###.## , but is it not working.
I tried custom display format at universe level as well (#,##,##,###.##) , but it is also not working.
By default it is showing US format as 12,407,364.22.
Please let me know do we have any work around for the same.

Thanks for your help.
Now in other places also Tamil is Displaying. For example we have a object Fiscal Month which holds values Jan-2014,Jul-2014 etc... In this case also Jan and Jul are displaying in Tamil.
Instead of Tamil ( India) can we use English ( India) to resolve this issue ?
I am using " use the document Locale to format the data" . Is this option correct?

How to display a variable in the report?

hi all
i want to use one complex sql statement which will return only one value and i need to display it in report. i'm new to OBIEE. i thought of creating a repository variable to hold that value. but im not sure of how to display the variable in the report.
Any idea?

How to get rid of compounded keys on WebI report

Hello,
I am (very) new to Business Objects and Web Intelligence, and have created a Universe on a BW multicube. 
When I setup the WebI report doc, the Fiscal year (and Fiscal Period/year) are showing with the Fiscal Variant as a prefix (e.g. Z3/2009). 
Using a formula to 'strip' the characteristic to 2009 confuses the data (as there is no 'key' of 2009, only Z3/2009).
Filtering by Fiscal Variant (the Z3 part) doesn't seem to change things, or even putting the fiscal variant in as a column (these techniques used to work quite nicely in Bex and Web Bex). 
Is there some magic I have missed in the Universe building process (which I have purposefully kept very simple, as there are plenty of these to build!!). 
I am sure folks have seen (and sovled) this before, as Fiscal Year (and Fiscal Period/year) must be used often, and these are standard SAP time fields. 
However, i can find nothing in help or even forums (perhaps I am not searching for correct key words). 
I haven't tried building the universe off a Bex Query, and am kind of reluctant to do this, as it builds in another layer to maintain. 
Anyone know how to get rid of the compounded part of the (fiscal year) objects?

I am also facing the same problem.
I have an object Showing (TR/1223xxxx). I was able to remove "TR/" in bex by dragging the compunded object in Rows section and supressing it to "No Display" but in Webi I am still getting (TR/1223xxxx).
In Webi if I create a formula and trim the above value, i am getting "#UNAVAILABLE" in Key Figures, i.e. measures (smar Measures)
Is there a way to get rid of this compunded value.
One more requirement, in Bex Query, I am giving dislay as "Key and Text" but in Webi, i get only "Text" for that object. I have to explicitply drag and use the Object - key (detail object of that particular dimension). Is there a way to get both Key and Text in Webi using a single object.

when you run the universe query, on the left side, expand the L01 <Charateristic> and drag in the L01 <Characteristic> Key which is the green colored icon along the L01 <Char>. This will get you the key and the text in your webI
Are you doing this in the webi report after you refresh it?
Or are you doing this in BEX?
I am able to get EITHER the text or key to display.
I get the text when i have the properties set to Text & Key and Medium length for the Text View.
Any other selection for text View, like std or long, result in seeing the key instead of the text.

How to display duplicates in Itunes 11

Since I listen to a lot of classical music, accurately synchronizing track titles is very important...
And, with an 80 gig Ipod Classic, I cannot get my whole library [95 gigs +] on it at one time...So, with itunes 10, you could display duplicates which really helped me sort and uncheck multiples of any given classical piece...But that feature appears to be gone with itunes 11...

If I was better at web design, or at least had more time, I'd have found a better way to list the scripts and explain how to use them.
I have occasionaly thought about giving each script its own page with screenshots etc. showing how it works and what its output should look like, but that project seems too daunting so I leave it for later. Much later...

Displaying Prompt values in webi report

Hi,
How to display prompt value in my webi report.
For one prompt value I can user Userresponse function.
In one of my report, I have a prompt for Date, which also should be displayed in the report under one field. I am using the below formula: =UserResponse("Enter Date:")
But my new requirement is User wants a Date Range for a particual trasaction date. I created a report level prompt like
Transaction Date Between "Enter Tran Date(Start):" and "Enter Tran Date(End):"
I need to display the start date and end date user selected under one field Date in my webi report.
how should I do that.
Please share your thoughts.

You have created a report level prompt like
Transaction Date Between "Enter Tran Date(Start):" and "Enter Tran Date(End):"
1.Drag two blank cell on report.
2.click on one blank cell and on formula editor type following formula.
=UserResponse("Enter Tran Date(Start):" )
This will show you start date in the cell.
3.Similarly in another cell type the following formula
=UserResponse("Enter Tran Date(End):" )
This will show you End Date in respective cell.
Do revert in case of any queries.

Duplicate rows in Webi Report

Anyone can pls tell me how to avoid duplicate rows in a webi report. I have tried checking the 'Avoid duplicate row agg.' option as well as 'Retrieve duplicate rows'.
The query that is generated in the webi gives proper results wehn run at the database level but not in the report.
What can be the problem?

It's hard to know, but my guess is the way the objects are defined in the universe. Make sure your measures are defined correctly, as sum, count, etc. and also make sure you have placed dimensions and measures correctiy within the report format - meaning generally dimensions in the headers and measures in the body.

How to remove blank pages from WebI Report in view page layout option

Hi,
I am working in Business Objects XIR2 environment. I have a WebI report with several sections. I need to show the report as a book with 69 sections (each section on new page). there are 69 sections on cost center and each cost center section has almost 10 sections embedded in it. When i see in regular view - I only see 69 pages but when I try to see in "View Page Lay out" option, there is one blank page added after each results page.
Please let me know how to remove this blank page. I need to give users the option to download the book as PDF on to their machine. Now, when I download to my machine, I see one blank page after each results page.

Jus convert your report in Page Layout mode and see if your first pafe is getting expand in the second page.
Now check if there are any cell going into second page.
- if there are any blank cell which is there after table.
you have to check formating very carefull.

How to read Data of a Webi Report

Hello Friends,
I have a task where I need to read data of a Webi Report, how can it be done?
Basically I have a trigger report which runs every day and get the latest RACN number from the database. I am trying to get that RACN number from trigger report using BOBJ SDK.

Is the RACN Number a column or dimension in your webi report? Is it a universe object(webi based on universe)
Also what version of BusinessObjects you are using?
If you are using XI 3.1 and you need to retrieve objects from a webi report it can be done using the ReportEngine SDKs.

How to change number format in web reports

Hi, Experts,
    Simple question, if I want to change the number format on web report as following
. . . . . . . . Actual
. . . . . . . . *1000SGD
new order   .   341.5
sales       .   567.45
if I click "Actual" then select properties, set data format from "in 1000" & "0" to "in 1" & "0.00", nothing changed in web report after refresh.
if i click one number (for example: 341.5) or "New order" to set data format from "in 1000" & "0" to "in 1" & "0.00", only this row's format is changed, others row still keep old format.
how to change whole column's data format at once setting?

Hi,
Logout and login may help you and also Delete the session in SM04 before re login. Some times system will not do complete refresh of data even though you select refresh button.

How to display the variable screen with report in the same page together

our customers want to design a web application use BEx
they want the variable screen can be displayed with the report result in the same web page together
so they can modify the variable filters any time and refresh the report with new variable filter
i have tried the navigation area,but it seems only use new filter to the data athough get,we can't change the filter we input in the variable screen.
is there any way to display these together?
even I can use BSP.

I think to display var screen with the report is not possible.(At least it will not be static). You need to refresh the report and choose the varibale at that time.
Other option could be to bring all the possible value in the report and provide your user with the filter value. But this will make your report slow as you may have to bring more data in the filter.
