How to display duplicates

Since updating iTunes on my laptop I cannot see any way to show my duplicates. Nor can I see the total number of songs in my library. Can anyone help please?

Ctrl / or the view menu should let you show the status bar.
The show duplicates/show exact duplicates features have been left out of iTunes 11. Rumor suggests they will be restored in the next build. In the meantime I have written two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates, either from a selection of tracks or the entire library. Note that, as with the iTunes feature, this list makes no distinction between "originals" and "dupes", you have to decide which is which.
There is also my DeDuper script for automatically removing duplicates copies but keeping one remaining copy of each set. This can preserve ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. which are lost in a manual clean up. Please take note of the warning tobackup your library before deduping. See this thread for background on deduping and the script.
If you want to manually remove duplicate tracks use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Keep one of each repeated group of files and don't send the others to the recycle bin unless you are sure that there are multiple files on the disc as opposed to multiple entries to the same file.

Hi Experts,
Can anybody tell me how to display duplicate key in web report?
I know in the Bex analyzer, we can allow the duplicate key to be dispalyed via the 'query property' by right click, and in the 'display option' tab, there is an option which named 'forbid duplicate key', if we don't select this option, the duplicate key will be dispalyed in the report result in BEx analyzer.
But how can I do this in Web report? Thanks in advance.

Do the same and execute report in web.You can able to see the same.

How to display duplicates in Itunes 11

Since I listen to a lot of classical music, accurately synchronizing track titles is very important...
And, with an 80 gig Ipod Classic, I cannot get my whole library [95 gigs +] on it at one time...So, with itunes 10, you could display duplicates which really helped me sort and uncheck multiples of any given classical piece...But that feature appears to be gone with itunes 11...

If I was better at web design, or at least had more time, I'd have found a better way to list the scripts and explain how to use them.
I have occasionaly thought about giving each script its own page with screenshots etc. showing how it works and what its output should look like, but that project seems too daunting so I leave it for later. Much later...

How can I always display duplicate email messages in Apple Mail?

I would like to have Apple Mail ALWAYS display "duplicate" messages without having to click on the duplicates link in the upper right of the message.
Apple Mail identified a series of messages as "duplicates" when in fact they were not duplicates. I would have otherwise missed out on very important information and the only reason I even knew to look for this was because I saw them on my iPhone. I want to avoid this issue in the future.

Comfortable with terminal...know how to edit using TextEdit:
Open up a Terminal and use the following commands to change your Mail.app preferences file to an XML format – the default format is binary, and you can't edit this.
cd ~/Library/Preferences
plutil -convert xml1 com.apple.mail.plist
Then, open this file com.apple.mail.plist with a text editor of your choice, preferably one that highlights XML syntax, but you can also use TextEdit:
open -a "TextEdit" com.apple.mail.plist
Now, look for the key called MailAccounts. It's value is an array, with dict children. Here, you'll find all your mail accounts in the order they were created in.
You can now manually move these dict children around. Save the XML file and reopen Mail. Now, your Mail account order will be changed.

That function isn't in iTunes 11. Apple has said there will be a small update that will add that function back but no time frame was given.

Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin. Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. i accidentally turned the display duplicates on. there is'nt any option to turn this feature off

How to prevent LOV from displaying duplicates

Hi all. I'm using JDev 10.1.3. I have a af:selectOneChoice component which is used to set search criteria. There are a few records with duplicate values. Is there a way for me to prevent the LOV from displaying duplicate values? thanks in advance.

John. I assume that you are suggesting that I do a SELECT DISTINCT. If so, then no I cannot change the underlying query. I want all the records, what I am actually looking for is a way to filter the items in the LOV.
