How to display G/L Account code with separation symbol

Hi, there
I got a problem that I want to show formated account code in one column in grid, which formated with separation symbol, and i'd like to binding this column to one user defined field in UDT, user can input Acount code in this column. who knows if there is a simple way to show the formated Account code. I am using SBO 2004 and VB .Net.
I did not find any function about it in SBO 2004 SDK, the "FormatCode" property in ChartOfAcctounts object only show Account code with out separator, so am I need find out the segment and separator information and format using code?
Thanks for any help.
Kathy

Hi Kathy
Not sure what you asking.
The one part you asking "how can I show the link button in the Account code column". The answer to this is if you are using the xml form made by the screen painter you must open the xml file outside of screen painter and make that column of type 116 instead of 16. Obviously you still need to do the usual like bind the column and set LinkedObject = APbouiCOM.BoLinkedObject.lf_GLAccounts
Then to the second part of your question
A linked button for a gl account with dashes which are "-" should pull the chart of accounts window open. The format code with the dashes is CORRECT! You must make sure there is no unwanted spaces or any funny characters. Also i did the linked button in Screen Painter. Make your arrow, link it to a edit box. Then set linkedObject value to 1.
Just for testing purposes make a edit text with the linked button linked to it. Type a gl account manualy in the box with dashes and then press the orange arrow. You'll see that it works with the dashes.
Hope this helps

    End for each

Take a look at this to see if the solution provided would work for you: https://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/multi_column_row_woes
Won't you have more than 10 records in your data file ? If you are going to have only 10 items then you may be able to use position() function to limit it to 3 each..

  • Make a G/L account code (with transaction history) as control account

    Hi,
Currently G/L account code = 10001 is not control account at the beginning.
It had few transaction records with this account code, however I had try to make adjustment so that the balance become "0"
But when I try to check box on the control account, it doesn't work.
So just wonder is it possible to make a account code with transaction history to become a control account?
    Thanks

    Hi
You can't be change the code after transaction.
Because it's stored in transaction history.
Even after if your account balance is zero.

  • How to get list of company codes with current period not opened?

    Hi,
How to get list of company codes with current period not opened?
Is there any way we can check whether the current period is opened for all company codes.
If not how, can we generate a report which having information of period and company code. Also please tell me, which table will have info on posting periods and company codes.
    Thanks
    Vineeth Varghese

    Hi,
The MM periods details can be viewed In Table MARV . On the selection screen you have the option of entering the company codes , current period, year current period etc. so make the required entries and you get the all details relevant to MM periods. Also it can be downloaded as a report. Thanks

  • PrintLayoutDesigner Account Code (with segments)

Hi, Im trying to design the check print layout, I want to display the financial account codes that were involved in the journal. My problem is that when I select the account number, It gets displayed the internal _SYS00000 etc. account instead of format code.
    Is there a work arround?
Is there a way to create or use a query in the print layout designer?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Instead of Print the AccountCode in the Corrosponding Place you select the FormatCode to print the GL Account Number.
I had done this for my client.
    For Example.
    AccountCode is _sys0000.....19
    ForMatCode is   124536
AcctName is :  ICICI BANK (Bank Account)

  • GL Account Key displays Chart of accounts concatenated with GL Account

    Hi,
When we pull the GL Account Key object into a WEBI report, the Chart of Account value is concatenating with the GL Account number like ABDA/253616. In Bex Query, choosing the Chart of accounts and GL Account in the Analyser gives only the number value of the GL Account 253616.
How do we resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Anu

    Hi,
We had a similar problem, and we fixed it by using a variable.
Create a variable (e.g. GL Account) with the following formula:
    =tonumber(replace([L01_GL_ACC_Key];"ABDA/";""))
    where,
[L01_GL_ACC_Key] = Original Account key with the Chart of Accounts
"ABDA/" The piece of the account that you want removed
The formula will convert your account number to a number by replacing the "ABDA/" with a blank (the "" in the formula)
Note: There is no space between the two quotation marks
You can now use the variable in your report instead of the original account key.

  • Can change GL account code with transactions

In Canadian Localization in CoA with segments I can change account code in account with transactions.
An issue found in 2007 PL 35 and 41.
Is it a bug oe new functionality?
    Thanks,
    Olga

    Hi Olga,
If the G/L Accounts are set up as segmented accounts then it is
possible to change the account codes. The code field of the G\L Accounts
is a description field (non unique, the unique key is internal, this is
only the case with segmented G/L accounts) and can be changed. This
will not affect the reports, only the name/code will change. System will identify the accounts with an internal code.

  • How to display subtotal and grand total with a top 10 condistion ?

    Hello,
I would like to display a Top 10 list with subtotal for Top 10 and grand total for all the lines.
I succeed to display top 10 subtotal with "calculations/total" parameter but my question is How to display also the grand total for all the lines ?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards
    Nicolas

Calculate Results/not defined gives grand total and calculation / total gives top 10 sum. As far as I know, you can't display both at the same time.

I found there are only class files in it.I say it's highly likely that you can't and your IDE's settings rather automatically refer to the src.zip file in the JDK's directory.I see. That's true. I use eclipse as the source code reader. It may refer to the source code zip file automatically.

  • Cannot compile code with debug symbols

I have a source code file that will not compile with debug symbols. I get an assertion failed in file ../src/regman/regman_local.cc at line 5224. The compile command and output are below.
    /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -g -xarch=v9b -xopenmp=noopt -xc99=all -c -o output/spirecon.o spirecon.c
cg: assertion failed in file ../src/regman/regman_local.cc at line 5224
    cg: Out of range
    cg: 1 errors
    cc: cg failed for spirecon.c
However without the debug options and using the default -fast switch, i.e.
    /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -fast -xarch=v9b -xopenmp=noopt -xc99=all -c -o output/spirecon.o spirecon.c
    it compiles without any problems.
I was hoping someone might have a suggestion as to how what might cause this type of error.

I have been told this is bugid: 4420630
It only happens when you try to use the optimizing
backend code generator without any optimization.
    (That's what -xopenmp=noopt does)
If you add an -xO1 flag the assertion should go away, but you
will also lose some (but not all) of your debuggability.

  • How to display time duration (NOT dates) with an input mask in a JTable?

Background: I am trying to display in a JTable, in two columns, the start position and time duration of an audio clip.
They are stored as type float internally eg. startPosition = 72.7 seconds.
However I wish to display on screen in the table in HH:mm:ss:S format. eg. 00:01:12:7. The user can edit the cell and input values to update the internal member fields.
Problem: I am finding it very difficult to implement this - what with the interactions of MaskFormatter, DefaultCellEditor etc.
Also using SimpleDateFormat and DateFormatter does not work as they insist on displaying the day, month, year also in the table cell.
Taking the Swing Tutorial TableFTFEditDemo example as a template,
    (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/example-1dot4/index.html#TableFTFEditDemo)
does anyone know how to do this?

    Appreciate any help.
