How to display long titles of photo?

Is there a way to see my title when I double-click on the photo other than from the sidebar?
I know i can click the "i" info tab and it will pop up in the left hand box, and I know I can resize that window and move it over more to see more, but..
I would like to see the title displayed underneath (or somewhere) when I double click on that photo especially on titles with long names:
For example I have a photo with the title: "sunset over Pikes Peak, from Garden of the Gods" -- this shows up on the sidebar as "sunset over Pikes Peak, from Ga..."
If I double-click on the photo so it is full screen within iphoto -- is there another way I can view this title?

I would like to be able to print my photos with the title either on the edge of the photo or on the photo along one edge. I would also like to include the date, so years from now I know when the photo was taken. (Yes I know that I could write this on the back, but prefer having it printed with the photo.) no not with iPhoto. You can set up another graphics program such as PS or PS Elements as an external editor within iPhoto Preferences and add your text to the photo there and save it with the same name and flattened. The edit will then be reflected within iPhoto.

Kaki,
Delcare a table and getting the LONG TEXT is not the right way of doing this.
You create a TEXT object and change the TYPE to INCLUDE TEXT. Once that is done all you have to do specify the parameters of your long text - TEXT ID, TEXT OBJECT and TEXT NAME. These are the same parameters that you use for READ_TEXT funciton. You don't have to fetch the text manually, it happens automatically.
Make sure this is a part of the main window as this might run into multiple pages.

There is another requirment for alv output text field as below
From the long text fields show only the first 20 characters and afterwards the long text icon. If the icon is clicked open the long text display screen.

Create a hotspot for the long text column of ALV.
When user clicks on the hotspot, handle the event to display long text screen.
You may refer sample program of hotspot ALV :
Goto SE38
Type BCALV*
Click F4
search for HOTSPOT or EVENTS & you will get a sample program.

Messages have long texts.... Uncheck the self-explanatory box, change your long message to a short one, place your long message in the long text of your message. SAP should handle the rest.

When SForm goes to Spool by default it display the title based on <PrinterName> <Report> <UserName>, i need a solution where i can customize the title before it goes to spool. So that i can make difference this spool with others while compare to titles. Well i tried with FM GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS, but not sure how far it can help in my case.

The associated function module for the smart form contains an import paramter called OUTPUT_OPTIONS.
OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDDATASET : Spool request: Name
OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDSUFFIX1 : Spool request: Suffix 1
OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDSUFFIX2 : Spool request: Suffix 2
Just assign the value to the structure field OUTPUT_OPTIONS-TDDATASET .

I need to display the long text of particular object on ALV, with 30 char each line .
I have long text in one internal table, master table have one to maany relation with longtext table and long text contains 120 character in each line.

optimize = 'X'
if u use OUTPUTLEN it is fixed size for that specific field, and also it reflects for next fields, to avoid that again have to mention OUTPUTLEN = 'X' for next field.
With OPTIMIZE = 'X' it will adjust based on the size.

I want to display long text string, on screen designed through module pool(SE51). I tried to display through input/output field , but it displays it in SINGLE LINE and i have to scroll all through to view all string.

How to display File Title instead of File Name in Search Results

I want to display the File Title instead of File name in the search results. For example when i do the search for the HTML Pages i get the File Names i.e. Index.html However i want 'HTML Page Title' to be displayed instead of File Name.
Please help in this.

Hi Vaib,
first, the search result is displayed with some layout set. The standard layout set used is the SearchResultLayoutSet. This uses the StandardSearchResultRenderer as it's collection renderer. And this in fact renders the display name and not the ID: rnd:displayname(contentLink/[1;2-3]/alignTop/space-right=30) within "Displayed Properties". Maybe on your site the default settings have been changed.

How to display the Author's Photo in a Display Template

I am creating a custom display template that will show the date and contents of a blog post on the right, with a thumbnail of the author on the left. I cannot figure out how to retrieve the URL for the users photo from the display template.
My first thought was that maybe there was a Managed Property I could choose in the property mappings. The Author Property will give me the Last Name, FirstName of the author. There is also a AuthorOWSUSER, which I thought might be an object with properties
I could reference, like .FirstName, .Picture, etc. But this doesn't appear to work.
My guess is that I have to do some scripting in the display template itself, but I just don't know where to find any references on this.

It is very important that your Content Type Field has the Attribute ShowField="NameWithPictureAndDetails"
Then you dont need to query UserProfile for Pictures, the info will be in the Fiedl.

SPGridView - sorting Dates doesn't work properly & how to display the title column as link?

I've got a SPGridView that is being filled with data from several lists. Some of them are a date-field and a title-field. I already added sorting, paging and filtering options and at first look they seem to work fine. But now I noticed that sorting dates
doesn't work as expected. If I select ascending sorting, the result is something like this:

If I select descending sorting, the result is this:

This isn't what I want obviously.
I just added the EventReceiver for the sorting like it is shown in several tutorials:
(The date field is a BoundField.)

And my second problem is how to add a link to the title column. In my grid I'm displaying tasks from different lists and I want to link the title to the related task. I stumbled accross HyperLinkFields and tried this:

Create calculated column.
Insert following formula -
="<a href='"&UrlFieldName&"'>"&Title&"</a>"
Set "data type returned from this formula is" to integer.
As a result on list view you will see the title with link to your url.
UPD: It seems that URL field is not valid for calculated column, as workaround you can copy url value in a receiver into the another text field, which is not shown on the view.
