How to display the editable fields in output of an ALV report?

Hi all,
I have a requirement of displaying values in ALV Grid format and above this grid display i have to put some fields , that are editable.
I know making ALV grid fields as editable, but here requirement is to display some fields before displaying the ALV grid dispaly and to enable these fields editable to user and when printing this the values entered by user also has tobe printed.
Please help me on solving this problem? Is it possible to do this with ALV function modules?

But this is not my requirement. I mentioned in my question that i too know how to edit the fields in ALV grid report.
Here my requirement is .
name :_____________
amount:____________
alv grid display
Like above i need to display. after name the user can be enter value and after amount also the user can be enter some value at output . But this is not the header of ALV .
Is this possible in classical ALV or Classical report? If not please specify alternative?

To edit a selected item, I could easily add a new button on the command line and choose the existing method, "editSelected"
But how to edit another item instead of the selected item? Like How to edit an item whose ID # is 10? i.e How to display the edit screen for an item with ID # 10?

The methods such as 'editSelected' apply to screen property collections. Picking these pre-selected options automatically configure the parameter as '<my-collection>.selectedItem'.
If you want an action not directly related to the screen properties then you can choose one of the screen commands under the 'Navigation' list starting with 'show', as in 'show<my-screen-name'. If the screen command accepts parameters then you can
configure the parameter passing manually. In your example, if you added a local 'int' data property to the screen you could assign the ID to that and bind the parameter passed to the screen to that.
In the instances when not even that is sufficient, well then you write your own custom method.

I was able to display the signature on XMLP AP Check Print Report by went through the follwoing Tim's blog http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2006/04/13#a12
But in Purchase Order report requirement is different. We need to display the Buyer's signature on XMLP PO Report. So, where is the best place to store the buyers signatures.(For example if we have 10 buyers with 10 signatures respectively then after approving the PO, we should display that particular buyer's signature in PO XML Publisher report).We observed that in byuers & User's form there is no attachment feature enabled.
This is an urgent requiremnt. Please help/guide/suggest to resolve this issue.

How to display the number of line items in sap-script report?

Hi friends,
I need a help regarding the SAP Script. In my script (report) I create two pages and created three windows (MAIN, HEADER, FOOTER) for each pages. Now the problem is while displaying the fewer line item which can come under the main window of the 1st page these line items are comming perfectly but for the remaining line items that comes on the second page the table headings and the boexs are not comming.
Also it is displaying the total and the amount in text in every pages that should be display in last page.
Here if I eleminate or comments the total and the amount in text for the first page the same is reflected in second page. Also I need to display the page-nor for each pages to displayed.
I am requesting all the people out there kindly help me to solve this issues.

There is no pre built solution for this. But we can show total pages in the report body.
one way is Create a other column in the report with code sum(count(1))/25. that gives you total number of pages. 25 here is no of rows in each page. The code you can write in narrative "Total pages in the report are @5" and out put may be "Total Pages in the report are 30".

Regarding Conversion of the Charecter field Into Lowercase in an ALV REPORT

HI ALL,
I have created an editable alv Report. In which i have a coloumn with charecter field where i can enter 64 charecters. when ever i have enter and moved to another Tab its converting into Capital Letters. I need to stop it conversion. Can any one suggest me Regarding It. I am Using the Docking Container and method set_table_for_first_display for displaying the Grid.
Please give some suggestion in order to control conversion of charecters.

What Kind of Dataelement/Domain you are using? CHAR60? Then try TEXT60 f.e.

How to resolve the error in bdc call transaction in ALV report

Dear Experts, i am executing the alv report program and in alv report program one bdc is there..
after executing output is showing in alv format but one button is there (update master)..when i am clicking update button the bdc is run but is not updated in the material master..after executing my bdc is not updated in mm02.
how to resove it?

Hi Kaustav,
Looking at the code you attached, it appears to me that your BDC (Form USER_COMMAND) is not executed at all as you haven't passed the 'USER_COMMAND' in FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY for ALV display.
You must pass the importing parameter I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND of this FM as 'USER_COMMAND', only then this form will be executed and your BDC will run.
Thereafter, in case your BDC update fails, you can put a break-point in the form (at CALL TRANSACTION statement) and analyze the message table MESSTAB.

How to inactive the push button on tool bar of alv report

hi masters,
i m working on the ALV interactive report, in this report i have to do 2 different operation on 2 screen.
eg.- on first screen i have the push button for 'data' and on second screen i will have the push button for 'upload'.
in this i don't want to give the 'upload' button on first screen and same i don't want to give the 'data' button on 2nd screen.
i tried with using the 2 different gui status and 2 different PF-STATUS but its not working.
anyone can tell me how i can deactivate the 'upload' button on first screen and how i can do same for 'get' buttton on 2nd screen.

                  if u want an interactive ALV report , there are lot of forums already having the solution for that , but let me give u the solution anyway.
In the function module "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY" , import parameters
     I_CALLBACK_PF_STATUS_SET          = 'FLIGHT'
     I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND           = 'BUTTON_CLICK'
has to be supplied to this function module . The PF status is where u hav created the two buttons , that PF status has to be given here .If the user clicks on the button then it is handled by the form routines . Inside the sub-routine based on the button the user has selected u could perform the action.
FORM FLIGHT    USING RT_EXTAB TYPE SLIS_T_EXTAB.
SET PF-STATUS 'FLIGHT' EXCLUDING RT_EXTAB.
ENDFORM.
Here the "Flight" is the PF_status .
FORM BUTTON_CLICK USING UCOMM type SY-UCOMM
                       SELFIELD type SLIS_SELFIELD.
CASE UCOMM.
    WHEN 'BUTTON!' .
write ur code for button 1.
WHEN "BUTTON"
*Write ur code for button2 .

How to save the edited fields in ALV list

hope you could help me find a solution, I made my fields editable in ALV grid display as you can see in the code ZID_NUM, ZLAST_NAME and ZMIDDLE_NAME is editable..
an example scenario would be if I execute the program it will show me 5 lines, all the fields can be edited by the user...(example he edited all data in the result). When he press save, it will automatically update the ztable (ZMEMPLIST in this case). How do you go about the saving?

How to display the same field more than once in report with diff. filters

Hello,
I have an RTF template I built out. There is a 1:M relationship of an opportunity:deal point.
I want the user to be able to pass the opportunity and then see a report including all the deal points.
The report looks something like this:
Date: DP100
Terms: DP200
Duration: DP300
and so on. to simplify things, the date will always be DP100, terms will lways be DP200, etc.
Where do I set these filters? When using the query builder on the BI Publisher server i don't see anywhere to filter.

You can create subtotals by columns.
You would need extra column to group the materials( 1 to 10 GROUP1 20 to 30 GROUP2 by example) and use this column for subtotals
