How to display track name in iTunes

I've burned CDs with track titles using Toast 10. When played in a car sound system, track names are displayed.
iTunes display Track 01, 02 etc and not the name. As they are not commercial discs, I cannot use Gracenotes.
I've seen Microsoft automatically display track names (using a different disc) and so I was looking for a similar thing in iTunes.
How do I get iTunes to display the CD track names, not Track 01, 02 etc, just like a car sound system?
I'm using iTunes 10.6.1.
Your help would be appreciated.

Not sure about this. CD tracks used .wav format (needed to use it so my old windows XP computer could use them).
I suspect you've answered my question when you say iTunes does not support CD-text.
I selected Toast's Add CD-Text. I don't know if it's the same as your mentioned CD-text. As I know nothing of CD-text, if you know what it is, can you please briefly explain it to me?
Even though you say CDs do not contain track information, it must be stored on the CD somehow for the car sound system to display it as it has no internetconnection.

You could create a lock screen wallpaper with your name on it if you want. There is no way to get your name on the status bar at the top of the phone.

How to delete already downloaded track names in itunes?

Hi,
I don't like the itunes to send out my cd info and get name and other data for it.
but i forget to turn off the "getting info for the cd tracks from the internet automatically".
the itunes has already downloaded some track names for my cds and i wish to delete those info.
i tried to create a new library but didn't work.
so how do i delete the "already downloaded" track names?

delete all the files you want to re-rip from iTunes (select them in iTunes, hit backspace and make sure you remove and delete hem).
next, go iTunes > preferences > general and uncheck +automatically retrieve ... from internet+
re-rip the CD(s).

im not sure how to make iTunes let me submit my track names.

How to get track names??

how do i get cd info-track names artists etc. when i put in cd and connected to internet itunes will still not connect to gracenote to get info-i have other friends with same problem who just type in all the info. having spent a small fortune on i phone i want it to get all the info and artwork rather than my music all being a mess. why is i tunes so hard??
everything is ticked so no reason why it shouldn't connect to gracenote. my old i river software on this same laptop has no problems connecting to gracenote.
could it be anything to do with my norton security and if it is what do i change on the settings on that?? this is driving me nuts!!!!

yes thats all ticked correctly. even when click on get track names it does nothing-its not even thinking about anything. i've had various friends look at it and can not come up with a solution. its like gracenote is not linked to my itunes at all.

I can't download track names in iTunes for Mac and get a "User not registered for online use" error

I have a Macbook Pro 13, OS X 10.9.5, and iTunes 12. When I rip a CD it says it can’t find the track names online. When I tell it manually to fetch them it says "User not registered for online use."
On my other Macbook it works fine...

You need to delete two preferences files in your user library. The full instructions can be compiled from various posts in this topic: user not registered for online use I use an older Mac with easy access to the user library before Apple did a mother-knows-best move and hid it in recent OS versions.

If you use Contacts or the Address Book in Outlook, you can specify that a given record is shown under Company Name instead of First/Last name, but you need a PC for that, you cannot do that from iOS unless a third party app provides that functionality.

Nope, not somehting authoring in DVD SP can do.
I have not heard of it, but maybe some players have a feature to show info there (?) would be cool to have that as a feature to show info there

I am using Chinese Traditional iTunes , but seems that korean letters arent displaying correctly in every songs (eg song names, singers, etc)

As I live in the UK I am able to use the iTunes store to get artwork but I can see you do not have that option. For you I can suggest these alternative methods.
1. Even the iTunes store does not have artwork for every album, I therefore sometimes resort to finding artwork either in the Walmart or Amazon stores and then dragging the artwork in to iTunes. This artwork is usually 500x500 pixels (iTunes store artwork is usually 600x600, and WMP folder.jpg artwork is a pathetic 200x200).
2. If you already have artwork in the form of a folder.jpg you drag and drop that in to iTunes
3. This utility iCoverArt will go through your iTunes folders and automatically take folder.jpg files and embed them in to the iTunes tracks. This is effectively the same process as number 2 above, but done automatically for you. See http://www.maximized.com/shareware/icoverart/

How to edit track info in iTunes for Windows

Sorry if this is a repeat but I've searched the discussions and didn't see one that really fit. I purchased a song off of a sound track and then a few days later I purchased the rest of the album. Turns out the single song I purchased was from a "Deluxe Album" and when I purchased the rest it was form the regular album. I was able to edit the name of the album on the Deluxe song so they are now grouped together in my library under one album (before they were in two separate albums) but the tracks are still not in order. The regular album tracks are numbered 2 of 17, 3 of 17,4 of 17 etc. but the deluxe song is numbered 1 of 21. How do I rename the track number, or some other idea, and put song #1 at the top to be played first??

In iTunes hightlight the song and do Get Info (control-I). On the right hand side of the track's Info tab is the track number which you can change (you'll probably need to change both the track number and the 'of' value. You may also want to check the values on that screen are consistent with the rest of songs in the album, and possibly on the Sorting tab.

How to display Album Name / Artwork if only one album is in Ipod

I have a 160GB Ipod, and after transferring the favorite CD's from my collection the thing is now full. Because there's so much on the thing I have many Artists on my Ipod with only one of their albums.
Anyway, if you only have ONE album from a given artist when you click on that artist's name under the "artists" category it will not display the album name to click on (and thus not display the artwork,) it just goes right into displaying the tracks from that artist's album. If you have two albums this problem obviously doesn't exist and it displays both album names for you to click on.
Is there any way for me to have it display the album name and album picture under an artist's name if I only have one of their albums? For example, if I had only Axis Bold as Love by Hendrix and no other album I want to be able to click on his name under artists, see "Axis Bold As Love" and subsequently its album art to lcik on RATHER than clicking on his name and seeing the track listing right away for Axis Bold As Love (that's how it is now.)
I don't like to use CoverFlow, I prefer to scroll by Artist name.
