How to display UDT/UDF in XL Reporter

Hi,
Please guide how to display user defined tables and user defined fields in XL Reporter. My version is SB1 2005A. Thanks.

The user-defined fields that are selected will be available in XL Reporter.
Solution
Choose 'Tools > User-Defined Fields'. The 'Manage User-Defined Fields' window appears.
In the 'Manage User-Defined Fields' window, locate the field you want to add to XL Reporter.
To make a field available in XL Reporter, select its check box in the 'Visible in XL Reporter' column.
In the 'System Info. Text' column, you can enter a description for the field.
If no data item type has been specified in the 'Data Item Type' column, you must choose the data item type that you want the field to belong to.
Choose OK to save your settings and close the window.

How to display duplicate key in web report?

Hi Experts,
Can anybody tell me how to display duplicate key in web report?
I know in the Bex analyzer, we can allow the duplicate key to be dispalyed via the 'query property' by right click, and in the 'display option' tab, there is an option which named 'forbid duplicate key', if we don't select this option, the duplicate key will be dispalyed in the report result in BEx analyzer.
But how can I do this in Web report? Thanks in advance.

How to display special characters/multi lingual characters in OBIEE reports? Could you please let me know were all I need to make the changes in OBI so as to see the similar set of characters that being saved in database.

Hi,
I believe it depends on your database type. If your database query supports it, OBIEE should not have any problem.
I think there are only 2 constraints which might stop OBIEE from displaying special characters.
1) OBIEE internal javascript which does not allow special characters
2) Database type which does not allow special characters in query.
If you can take care of these 2 reasons, then it should be possible.
However, experts can shed some more light on it.

How to display a value of one report in another report in obiee 11G

Hi,
I have Requirement, I created one report in that i have a columns Rank, Net price, list price and ..., so in prompt i have rank column and year column so if i enter rank as 5 and year it shows me top 5 ranks with net prices according to selected year in prompt, now i did a grand total on rank column to get total sum on net price, i got $12345 value for net price column . Now I created another report in this it shows sum of total year for net price with value $1234567, this value i got when i selected year 2011 in prompt i.e same prompt . Both this reports have same prompt in section 1 Prompt and in section 2 this two reports. Now i need to Display a pie chart with this two total values coming from two different reports in same pie chart. but i can't display both columns on same report. please help me

How to display the variable screen with report in the same page together

our customers want to design a web application use BEx
they want the variable screen can be displayed with the report result in the same web page together
so they can modify the variable filters any time and refresh the report with new variable filter
i have tried the navigation area,but it seems only use new filter to the data athough get,we can't change the filter we input in the variable screen.
is there any way to display these together?
even I can use BSP.

I think to display var screen with the report is not possible.(At least it will not be static). You need to refresh the report and choose the varibale at that time.
Other option could be to bring all the possible value in the report and provide your user with the filter value. But this will make your report slow as you may have to bring more data in the filter.

I have the same problem I want to embded a PDF, word Doc OR Image in report 10g.
And I put the read from file property YES and File Format OLE2
and it doesnt work by run_web_report by repport server. while in run report layout it works.
And my report server on the same Pc "The file path on the same server". or you can say that im working on the server where the path of the file exists and it doesnt work also.
So what do you think that i have to do to solve this problem.\
by the way i try to Genarate the report to a file in spacefic path then open it. and it didnt work also.

How to display pagewise total in Oracle reports?

Hi,
I want to display pagewise total in all pages as well as report total at the last page of the report.
I have tried Reset at : Page, Print on : All pages
But nothing is working.
Please suggest what else I need to set to achieve the requirement

Create a user parameter for line count and another to hold the value of total at end of page,
create formula column in your query group, where the column to be summarised exists,
See how many lines of records/transaction can be printed on your page, count them in a formula column and when the printable record been retrived assign the total to
the user parameter you have created.
set the property 'PRINT OBJECT ON' to 'ALL BUT LAST PAGE'
put you summary item just below this field and set the property 'PRINT OBJECT ON' to 'LAST PAGE', the final total will be displayed on last page.

How to display all rows in the report in one page in Oracle APEX 3.2

Friends -
We are using Oracle Applications Express 3.2 on oracle database 10.2.0.5 on solaris environment.
One of our report contains total no of rows 50000. when we ran report by default it is showing 15 and i can go search and change display no of rows to different numbers and click go.
My question is it possible to display all 50000 rows during first time report launching without going to change rows. Is there any option that we can set how many number of rows that we can display during report design.

As vee pointed out it is possible, however the question you need to ask yourself is is it wise?
Bear in mind that displaying 50,000 rows on a single HTML page means a lot of code that must be loaded by the client browser all at once. What it will do to your page loading time? Browser memory? Network bandwidth? Also, do you really believe that it is effective to let an end user look for a specific row among 50,000 rows?

How to display an expanded hierarchy in report?

Hi,
i'm working with BI 7.0. How do I display a completly expanded Hierarchy in my report. At present I see the hierarchy but the nodes need to be manually expanded in the report.

In Query designer under properties of your characteristics there is a separate tab called "hierarchy"; only If hierarchy is active for your characteristic you can change the properties for the hierarchy. If not you will see a message like "no avalaible hierarchy for this characteristics".
If it is active it will be changeable. For autoopen your hierarchy you should select the point "expand till step" and define here till which step you want autoopen your hierarchy.
