I have cost center field in the report, but its value has been truncated in the report, such as for value 'FO GM operation canada eastern region', it is truncated as 'FO GM operation ca' in the report. can you please tell how to disply value in full length.

what is the length of cost center -
open the BEx designer -> select the cost center object -> go to general tab -> select the display as -> text and long text
in BW system maintain the text table -> select the cost center object -> go to the master data text -> click on the with text (short,medium,long text) -> activate.
after activating the object check the text in query designer.

I had an 1,5 hour long interview on an iPhone 4 and tried to get it into the computer somehow. Couldn't sync the phone to itunes, the iPhone didn't even show up at first when I plugged it in. So I tried to do the "shorten and email"-thing, allthough I happened to do it the wrong way. Instead of choosing share and make the app email parts of it, I chose to shorten it. Problem is, everything except for the first 5 minutes is gone. All of this happened while the phone was connected to the computer, allthogh I couldn't find any voice memos on itunes since I believe it never synced.
Anyone who knows if I can get the full lengt of the voice memo back? Is it saved somewhere as a file or something on the iPhone? I'm new with iPhone so don't know much.
Please help, it's an important intervview.

but if the contents are not from the iTunes store(3rd party) than you may have to use extraction software to pull those files out of the ipad and put them onto the computer

Most of the movies I have are around 450 mb. So for a 30 gig iPod you should get around 60 movies. I use Handbrake to rip movies for the iPod on my mac and Cucusoft to rip them on my XP machine. The size is user selectable and averages around 400 to 500 mb.

First off any kind of video work requires a computer that is up to the task. Video conversion puts a lot of stress on hardware. In any case you should have a second clean harddrive, plenty of memory and a fast CPU with a good power supply (400 watts). If you are having trouble getting the software to even run, then you have problems with your operating system that need to be fixed first.

But when i use 'F4' i will get data with legth 18 .Actually some of data having WEB element length as 24.
example :while f4 i am getting following WEB element
'CL-00002-FROFR05TP' lentg(18) instead of 'CL-00002-FROFR05TPT01001' having lenght (24).Actually WBS element length as 18 with visible lenght as 24.
I need to display total 24 charcter length in selection screen instead of 18.I tried statments as

I think it is not possible to display the full length.
But you can do the following create a variale of length 24 & use it in the selection screen declaration. There you can provide Serach help for the selection screen by using At Selection-Screen Event.
e.g.:
DATA: c(24) TYPE c.
SELECT-OPTIONS: s_pspnr FOR c.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR s_sno-low.
Select Satatement.....

Problem related to display column's full length as default in table control

Hi Experts,
I have a screen in report program. In that a table control has been designed.
Now the issue is that when report program has been executed and the table control screen is called on a particular action then the table columns full length is not visible as default however when i checked the screen layout the default and visible length of colum header and column field is as per required.
For example - We have a Period field with default length as 6 and visible length as 15. Its column header is Period with both default length as 15 and visible length as 15.
The period field has an internal table field reference and its format is NUMC.
While column header Period is Text field created of type CHAR.
Please suggest. Any help or inputs will be highly appreciated.

The value of MLINE can be from 1 and N, where N is the number of the lines shown in the table control, so if your table control can display 5 line, MLINE will be from 1 to 5.
Now you need to create the link between the line of the table control and the line of internal table, the rule is:
Internal Table Line = <table control>-TOP_LINE + <table control line> - 1.

Display full length of vendor name in report !

Dear all,
as i know, we can enter up to 50 chars into Vendor name field in Vendor maintain screen (FK01).
But, when i check in Vendor balance (FK10N), Line item display (FBL1N) only 35 chars of Vendor name is displayed.
please help to show me how to show full length (50 chars) on those reports or which report should i use to see full length of Vendor name !?

As per my knowledge you can enter only upto 40 characters in name field in Vendor maintain screen (FK01).
The same will also show up in FK10N and FBL1N

How can I convert a feature length HD 25fps .mov file to NTSC and preserve the exact duration?

Hello all
I seem to stumble over a small but significant timeline distortion: I'm trying to convert a full-length feature film file (1:52:07:01) from the source file, which is full HD at 25 fps to .m2v in NTSC for use on DVD. The picture quality is excellent, especially with highest quality settings, but even using Frame Controls, allowing Compressor to choose the ideal frame rate and setting the duration of the target file at 100.000% of the source file, the result has now repeatedly been 7 seconds shorter than the original. (Which, by my estimation, would in fact be about 0.1% out, so more than the tolerance thresold indicated.)
Ordinarily, this might not be a big problem, if it weren't for the fact that the film is subtitled in three languages and this means that from about a third into the film now these subtitles in DVD Studio Pro appear progressively out of synch. (And anyone working with DSP will know how cumbersome shifting subtitle clips is...)

thanks again russ for your help with this - i've been able to solve the problem. i did try your approach, though for reasons which probably have nothing to do with anything, the export didn't complete and i ended up with a file that suddenly stopped, twenty minutes short of the ending.
in the mean time, though, i rendered both picture and sound out at 100.1% of the source file duration (which is the relative length compressor calculated when i used frame controls to set the output file to precisely the absolute lenght of the source file) and this seems to have worked. i now have an NTSC formatted .m2v and an .ac3 file, which are in synch with each other and with the original time line and therefore with the subtitles.
hope if anyone comes across a similar issue, this may be useful to know.
